I chose this because of location which is fantastic.Also got a spa and excellent food! Totally recommend!

Stayed here twice now, both times in June. All staff are really friendly, and the room are clean, tidy and have everything you need. The food is delicious, breakfast is more than ample, with various options too. Ideal for families or anyone visiting the Brecon Beacons.

Food is always good. Beer also good. Staff are really pleasant. Some rooms could do with undating and improving general decoration. Stunning area.

Great location, really lovely staff and alright breakfast and swimming facilities (pool and hot tub), but the price is reflective of quality. Particularly the showers (both in the room and in the pool changing areas), and the bathroom in the room does show signs of age. This didn't ruin the trip though, and the location more than makes up for it!

Whilst I enjoyed our stay, the hotel is tired and is in need of updating. For example, our room had wall paper hanging from the ceiling, a shower that was hand held with no curtain to keep the water in and this morning, no cold water to have an actual shower. The pool area is spacious but again, needs money spent on it. I was sat in the hot tub with no tiles where I was actually seated as they’ve come away. That said, my son loved the pool and the location of the hotel is fabulous so that you could go for a decent hike in the numerous national parks and return for a swim. Staff were super friendly and dinner was freshly prepared using local ingredients. A good place to use as a base for a range of outdoor activities.

The place is without any doubt in a lovely position and does boost of worthy facilities and delivers on these, but they really need to understand and act upon the fact that certain rooms are just not up to standard and will deter return visits. Myself included.

Great location for hiking and exploring the Brecon area Relaxing spa, sauna and pool after exploring the beacons. Hotel slightly dated, could do with a bit of redecoration. Staff however friendly, helpful and fantastic throughout :D also a great cooked breakfast :D

Jacuzzi is not that hot and not very bubbly - not all jets working.

Staff couldn't do enough, fantastic stay. Room did need a refurb and TV was on the blink but overall it was a lovely experience.

Our room had very creeky floor boards quite dated needed work doing in the room, paint coming and cracking off the radiator, fan made terrible nosie. From staying in other suites within the hotel before which were amazing (which is why I came back) it was quite disappointing!

I love staying here. The food is really good, there is plenty of parking and the rooms are big. There are a few downsides - though not enough to make me want to stay anywhere else! In my room (7) there was a shower attachment by the bath taps but no shower curtain, the Wi-Fi is woefully poor. The stairs to the rooms are steep and narrow, I'm 'getting on a bit' and would have appreciated a hand with my bag.

Stayed here as a family for one night as a stop over for our onward journey. Receptionist on arrival was very lovely and made us feel welcome. The room layout was fantastic the two single beds were separate to the main bedroom, the room was large with a sofa and table and the bottled water and biscuits were a nice toutch. The room was clean with nice white fluffy towels and a comfy bed. The only thing that lets this hotel down is that it's tired and needs alot of repair in places but the children enjoyed the pool and the staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a nice breakfast before we headed home.

I've been on this hotel a few times when working in the area. The rooms are basic but it's a nice place on a lovely setting. The only issue I found is the ground floor rooms have an obvious problem with the sewers and the smell coming from them. They tried to cover it up by having plug in air freshener on the rooms, but it's quite obvious and the staff is very aware of it. The issue has been going for a few years as a couple of years ago I had the same problem with the awful smell, surely they should address it and not give customers those rooms until they sort out the issue. The last time I was only staying for a single night and I was exhausted when I arrived, I tried to stay in the smelly room but the smell was just awful and I developed a terrible migraine in a couple of hours. I had to ask the staff to move me to a different room. They were very apologetic as they could smell the sewer everywhere in the corridor leading to those rooms, they confirmed the issue has been going a while and they themselves don't understand why this isn't addressed by the management. My migraine was gone within minutes after I left the room with sewer smell, so I believe this is also a health and environmental hazard for guests. The customer service at the hotel is always fantastic.
