Lovely hotel in Sidmouth, very comfortable bed and great breakfast. Easy walking distance to the Promenade and the town centre. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Ideal for a short or long stay.

An excellent hotel that is worth more than 2 stars. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast outstanding. It is very near the coast and the older part of Sidmouth so Avoids parking in Sidmouth.

Weather was good October 2023, service great staff friendly as always, breakfast good service good, drinks in the lounge, good parking and walking into Sidmouth 3 minutes plenty of restaurants and bars, will be booking next year here.

Lovely hotel from location and ease of access and parking, to first impression of exterior and welcoming staff, to tasteful decor and comfortable room. All very clean and well ordered; old fashioned in a pleasing way! Breakfast was excellent with a huge range of options and all to a very high standard.

We will return to this hotel in the furure

Lovely hotel, good location, easy walk to the sea front. Staff are excellent, really friendly and helpful. Dinner was wonderful, beautiful food, and the bed was very comfortable.

Lovely hotel with great services from the staff. Loved the breakfast and the room. Only problem was the temperature of the shower in our room nr. 11. It stayed too hot or too cold.

The star rating of this hotel definately is incorrect and people should look past this as its a 4 star hotel, Staff are absolutely brilliant high standard of service, Breakfast was of really high standard with every detail covered and nothing was too much trouble, Lovely setting for breakfast with tables laid spotlessly with good cutlery, furniture is of good standard with no wear and tear showing, the only down side was the room was a little small but comfortable with everything present that you need, great location as well

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Spotlessly clean. The food was excellent and the staff were top class. The hotel has a lovely friendly feeling about it. Ideally suited for visiting Sidmouth.

Small hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner were great and hotel and room were clean. Also had a car park with easy parking. Brilliant location next to a beautiful park with river and yet the sea was just 5 minutes easy walk. Will be staying there again. A big THANK YOU to the lovely owner and staff for making it a very pleasant stay.

A very good experience. Very conveniently located, the hotel was clean and well-equipped and the staff were friendly and helpful. We ate there one evening - food was good but we don't always want a 3-course set menu. Might have eaten there again if we could have chosen only one or two courses. One really minor gripe ... we appreciate having bedside lights but (in room 5) they were terribly bright!

Hotel was clean and in an excellent position. Staff were friendly. Parking was very good. our only complaint was our room was very small but we were a fairly late booking.
