I stayed at the hotel for a short business trip att Uppsala. The hotel is very clean and feels fresh and very close to the city centre. The staff were very helpful, and gave us the possibility to early check in when we arrived. Highly recommended. Thank you!

It was a real pleasure to spend the last couple days with Duvan in Uppsala. Most friendly and helpful staffs, cozy breakfast area and lounge, great location!

Room was exactly as shown on the photograph, kitchens and homely common rooms to have tea and biscuits in. Breakfast room a bit small but you could use the common room to eat it in. Five minutes walk to the station in one direction, the same to the river in opposite direction.

If you book a hotel room with a private bathroom for sure you expect to get a shower in the morning and water to brush your teeth? That's what I did. On my arrival they have enabled an earlier check-in than expected as the reception is only available for a limited time during the day. After refreshing myself I went out to explore the city. Coming back at night there has been no water at the sink so I used the water of my bottle to brush my teeth. Next morning the water was back again, hurray! But still I did not even dare to make use of it. It has been a dark brownish and horribly smelling liquid pouring into the sink. No way to use this so called „water“ for a shower or a simple wash or brushing my teeth at all. Luckily I still had a waterbottle at hand. Reception is manned from 8 a.m. onward. With an appointement clearly before 8 a.m. I already had to leave before that time and no choice to speak to a receptionist. So I complained by mail and told them about my experience and the answer was that an unexpected burst of a pipe caused the problem. Another mail where I asked for a refund due to the fact that I have been unable to get what I payed for was just left unanswered. The area is fairly quiet in the evenings and staff were friendly, when seen (although short reception hours) Breakfast is a little basic and the hours are shorter than many others, but the shared kitchen means you can easily work around that.

very close to central station ( less than 5-minute walk), and room is basic but enough for a short stay reception only available on weekday 0900-1700, so if you are not arriving / staying during the time, basically everything else are self-service. Breakfast is ok, and it would be a good choice for a short stay in Uppsala
