We liked the hotel a lot. Super comfortable if you are traveling with family. The pool is a little small perhaps, especially given the angle in the photos they show. The rooms could use a little renovation, as there are some things that need maintenance and replacing like doorknobs that don't work, etc. The restaurant and bar are good. We saw rats by the pool at night, but that might be almost impossible to avoid without also poisoning the guests in Tarapoto. All in all, it was a comfortable stay for a big group.

Huge room with large balcony! Great service, clean. My only problem was that the in-room safe was not usable. Fast wifi. Lovely swimming pool. Excellent restaurant with interesting Peruvian/Japanese options, good breakfast with plenty of choice. Located a little away from the town centre and therefore quieter but, using the ubiquitous mototaxis, it still takes less than 5 minutes, 3-5 Sol, to get to the bars and restaurants. Though clearly a hotel pitched at tourists, worked well for business use too with the bonus of being able to relax properly between meetings.

I stayed at the hotel in two occasions and enjoyed both. I found Franco particularly helpful. He went way out of his way for me and my travel companions to make our stay pleasant. I would definitely stay again.

Although I had a reservation, when I tried to check in, it seemed like I didn’t. It was a bit nerve wracking until they found it.

Probably the best place to stay in Tarapoto. The Hotel is comfortable and a pretty quiet, the room we stay was bigger than expected, with a kitchen and with a big balcony. The location fair good, inside the city and the hotel is known by the locals. Kind and helpful personal, great food in restaurant, and tours provided at a good price. The only observation I may have is the TV hanging on a tube at the foot of the table was a little weird, but not a big deal.

All the staff is so friendly, and courteous. You feeling that you are home away from home. Food is great. Transfers from and to the airport. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Nice and clean pool. Reception great.

It was very difficult finding a nice hotel in Tarapoto so when I booked this Hotel I was a little scared. I am extremely happy to say the Photos do not justify what the hotel looks like. We got three bedrooms two matrimonial and one double. All the bedrooms are suites at this Hotel. You will have a full kitchen and a living room. Most of the rooms overlook the Pool with a large balcony. The double bedroom has two separate spaces for the beds so it gave each person a lot of privacy! There is a nice breakfast buffet each morning included in the price. If you want to eat at the Hotel the food price is very reasonable. This Hotel is about 5 minutes from the downtown center. But your not missing much by not being closer. Every motor ride is about 3 soles. There are several little food stores right next to Hotel if you just want to buy something quick. The only downside of this Hotel is the internet was horrible! It worked great at times and then would not allow any phones to connect. But I highly recommend this Hotel if you are staying in Tarapoto!

Ive stayed at the Tucan a few times now and each time has been great. The hotel sort of has a Miami Vice vibe in its design. Modern with jungle theme! Its a great place I highly recommend it for work or vacation stay. Great internet connection if you need it for work plus its a very family friendly hotel. The staff are truly helpful. Easy to get a moto right out in front of the hotel plus they pick you up and drop you off at the airport. Highly recommended!
