Parking on site and good location(travelling to Scotland from London).Now the amenities, once you walk in the rooms area/stairs and corridors they are smelly, like old, mouldy place, the stairs make noises as if you were walking in an old precarious place. Furniture a little dated and soulless. The Room: dated and soulless, horrible cheap bed, pillows are thin and woke up with a sore neck. Walls are paper thin and you can hear people talking, walking in, banging doors and having shower at late hrs of the morning, also there is a constant noise from some sort of machine(boiler? Kitchen?) right below the room we were keeping us awake most of night. We found used flossing, no plastic in the bins and dusty areas. It’s such a pity as the staff is lovely, yet not an enjoyable stay and don’t recommend(until measures are taken).

I believe the owners are very new to hospitality but excellent chefs! We wish them well and hope as they gain experience it will show in the rooms. The area for sitting/working was a very dark corner restricted by the en-suite being in the wrong position but could have been arranged to be cosy corner with reading light etc. Our main complaint was the king size douvet had been pushed into a double size douvet cover. This would have been passable for a single person but get two in the bed and your backs are bare! The meal in the restaurant was very good and thoroughly enjoyed. Popular with the locals as well which is always a good sign.

Very good stay here, great hospitality and rooms. Quiet at nice in the middle of a nice village. Breakfast was a very big plus!

Friendly and welcoming owners and staff. Home from home feel. Superb food. Very well cooked , and excellent service. Cooked breakfast was “ the best “ En-suite room was very comfortable and spacious. We DEFINITELY stay there again if I have to travel back up to Lincolnshire.

Arrived late, but was not a problem. Room and bed size excellent as were all the facilities. Had a drink in the bar before retiring - amazed at the very reasonable pricing of the wine. Breakfast was perfect. Top quality bacon and sausages, far better than most hotels we have stayed in. Staff all very helpful. Most excitingelement of the stay was being woken by the fire alarm at 6am! Technical fault. Would definitely stay there again.

Really hospitable and friendly. Excellent food, breakfast was large and more than expected. Bar served range of draught beers and food in bar or restaurant was very filling. Next trip will be booking again.

Friendly people and excellent food

I have travelled the length and breadth of the U.K. over 30 years and without doubt this is the nicest, cleanest friendliest hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. Food was of the highest quality you will find anywhere, the staff could not be more friendly and helpful, and the room was large buetifully decorated and spotless. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area or within a 50 mile radius you have to stay here. I cannot give enough superlatives to the Tollemache.

We had a very enjoyable stay the staff were very friendly and efficient. The bed was a little to soft for my taste. Breakfast lovely. A very nice area.

Extremely friendly staff who made us feel at home, all food was exceptional and room was very comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

The address was Grantham, main street, so we went to Grantham (town) only to discover that in fact the hotel was miles away and not in Grantham but in Buckminster, a pretty village etc, but not easy to get to !, a lot of time wasted in finding this village, the sat-nav , took us to a different village.

They did not let us in just before midnight. Ended paying £170 to sleep the night somewhere else. I would have never booked it if I knew. They did not refund my money either.

Enjoyed stay. Friendly very accommodating. Quiet place, just what I needed to start my holiday.lovely country setting.

Lovely and comfortable room, amazing food..staff were very friendly and helpful.As we were leaving earlier than when they served breakfast they prepared us some to takeaway so we didn't go hungry. Would stay again and recommend.
