It is clean, quite and comfort. And it is close to metro station, 7-8 minutes walk with corner shops nearby

Unfriendly Staff and dubious management practices. Checked in with a friend on a twin room, and required our passports to check in. Gov't issued ID does not work for them. My friend booked the room via Expedia and was asked for a security deposit at check in. He used his credit card. Next day I booked my own room via Expedia as I needed more time and space to sleep. I was asked a security deposit at check in and I presented a 100 Euro bill. I was presented a paper receipt/instructions which I thought included a record of my deposit. I did not bother to review it at that time as I was in a hurry to move my stuff. At check out, I was in hurry to catch my train, I forgot to retrieve my security deposit. I emailed the Hotel to inquire and have them check their records. I got a reply back saying "SmartHotel does not demand a deposit if booking is made via Expedia". This to me is untrue. In this trip, I was all over Europe for 90 days, and all my hotel bookings were made thru Expedia, and every single hotel I stayed in demanded a security deposit. Really Smart huh!

The shower was too small hard to use

The staff were wonderful and we loved our room-will definitely return to stay longer and take advantage of the apartment style rooms.

Close to a lot of shops, restaurants and metro - safe area love it

Good place to stay for one night

This was a basic hotel that was about 10 min. walk to Barcelona Sants. There wasn't enough space to store our luggage for family of 4. There are a lot of restaurants within 5 min. walking distance going towards the train station.

Delicious apples offered at check in

The reception staff were SO helpful and friendly. The room was perfectly clean and had all one would need - long mirror!, USB charging, hair dryer, kettle. I felt very well looked after. Neaby metro stations (10 mins walk), taxis passing by. Walkable to beautiful parks etc.

Perfect spot! Rooms are nice, comfortable, spotless and have everything one might need for a stay in town. Conveniently connected to public transportation as well as to the main train station. The staff is amazing!! Polite, helpful, and always smiling ☺️ … will definitely be staying here when I come back.

Extremely personable staff(front desk/maids). Me and my daughter always felt safe while out and about. But as is typical for Europe: very small rooms. Our room was very clean, however. We would definitely stay there again when visiting Barcelona!!!

the rooms are very clean and there is always a representative from the hotel in the reception. Access to he city with metro is very easy from this place.

We loved this hotel. Its too bad they only have one location in Barcelona. It was in a quiet neighborhood, close to the metro, very nice clientele and staff. It was comfortable and just what we needed.

Lovely property, a diamond in the rough. The building felt very secure, the design was very modern, the rooms well maintained and clean. Pleasant staff. About an 8-10 minute walk from the metro. No complaints really, the street had supermarkets and it wasn't too far from restaurants. I did wish it was located on a nicer street, but nothing we can do about that. It didn't feel too unsafe.

There’s no air conditioner and the building is hot. I could have open the window but the area is too noisy at night

It was Not easy to check in and pay for the hotel. My credit cards would not process. I was told the reservation would be canceled if I did not pay for the 1st night ahead of time but then I messaged the hotel and the receptionist was super kind and told me to relax, it would all be ok and I could pay at the front desk. I was Very grateful. It took away a lot of stress! The front desk receptionists were all kind and helpful. The beds were firm, with crisp clean sheets. For the price of $168 a night, it was definitely expensive as it was just a room with beds, no kitchen or extra sink as we had gotten in other hotels for much less money.
