This whole hotel was just a bit confusing. The automated check in was abit chaotic - we didn't receive our 'special check in instructions' email so didn't have our unique code to get into the property which resulted in several confusing phone calls which wasnt ideal at 8pm with a very tired toddler. On entry of the property there wasn't an elevator and of course we were placed at the top floor. The room numbers were not clearly displayed so that left us guessing too. When we got into the room, we discovered that one of the windows didn't have a blind or curtains on it so had to make-shift a covering so we didn't get woken up at 6am the following day. Overall - a bit of a disappointing experience. The room was clean and the hotel was generally quiet though.

The check in process is fully automated and had to wait to be cleared for my payment before receiving entry into the property. The room was nice, clean. The only issue was the window was open in the bathroom and the space got wet from rain. I received no response from the property when I reached out.

This hotel was closed when I arrived to checkin at 9pm. Had to find a hotel at short notice. It is now shut. Do not book this!

We had a mixed stay at Stadthotel. Positives - room was very clean and newly renovated with nice linens and comfortable mattress. The location is great within walking to the old part of town with great restaurants nearby. The breakfast offered was good too. Negatives - I understand that European standards of "space" are much smaller than what Americans have come to expect in hotels and apartments. But even with that in mind, the room had barely enough room to walk around the bed. The bathroom was newly renovated with sink, toilet and shower, but it was all shoe-horned into a space smaller than most American closets. It was almost as compact as bathrooms are in an RV. The shower would have been just big enough to maneuver if it were not for the faucet jutting out into the space so far that you could not avoid stabbing yourself in the stomach every time you turned around in the tight space. ****I knew when I booked this place that it was a hotel room, not an apartment, but the room we were put in was not the one I booked which would have been much bigger. I truly believe that hotels should NOT be allowed to advertise on VRBO/HomeAway because this website is supposed to be for vacation homes and apartments where you have the amenities of a home, like a kitchen and extra space, not just a room. Biggest Problem - The biggest problem was that when we arrived (after 20 hours of travel) from the United States, the people at the desk could not find our reservation until I provided proof. And then did not have the large double bed room (for 4) that I had booked, and instead took over a half hour to ready a single bed room and add a porta-bed which took up the entire floor space so we literally had to step on mattresses and put luggage on mattresses because the room was so tight there was no where else to put things. They did not offer a discount for this major error, but the 2nd and 3rd night of our stay they did give us an additional even smaller room with a single bed that my daughter could sleep in so we could get rid of the porta-bed and at least put our luggage on the floor. The original extra large double room that we had pre-paid for on this website was apparently booked to someone else. It seems the manager did not check their VRBO bookings. As a result, I will NEVER book a hotel again on this website. If I want a hotel, I will book on a hotel website where I can pay when I arrive so if there are any problems I have options to cancel.

we didnt get the room, the hotel was overbooked. The place in the center city of Reutlingen is quite impossible to reach by car because of route works in the next street. Other comments are impossible because just at our arrival we knew that no room was available.
