Lovely hotel right on the Beach. The staff are very friendly and super helpful. The room is spacious and clean with a lovely view. The pool area is excellent and relaxing. Great gym and spa area.
The breakfast buffet is large but could be improved with better cereals and vegetarian or pescetarian options. Overall an excellent place to stay

Everything else is Top Shelf! The Mar & Spa staff are the best! Clean and very comfortable. We are treated like family.

Booked an ocean view room only to get a room with partial view of ocean, this should be transparent when booking. Rooms were a bit tiny with hardly any space to unpack suitcases and put away clothes. Staff for the most part were friendly. Excellent location for surfing.

Beautiful facilities on the ocean. Wonderful spas—Turkish and infrared—as well as an indoor and outdoor pool. All are immaculate. Clean, comfortable room. Very accommodating and kind staff. Excellent restaurant with AMAZING breakfast. Can’t beat the view. Great location too—20 minutes to 1 hour away from just about everything on the island.

They allowed us early check in. Nice friendly staff at check in. The only thing that I would disagree with was charging for coffee in the room. Other than that it was a nice stay. Nice to sit on the outside balcony and watch the waves and surfers. Beautiful spot

Large comfortable hotel, 2 large pools (indoor and outdoor) good gym, great location looking out to see. Plenty of parking. Very close to large supermarket and short walk to a variety of restaurants
Buffet breakfast generous and varied. Only minor observation is bar is under staffed I. Evenings, staff friendly and hard working but need more

This is a beautiful hotel on the outskirts of our favorite town, Ribeira Grande. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. Good breakfast & bar foods with yummy cocktails.

Hi everyone. This hotel is located in the north of the island and easily accessible from the capital, Ponta Delgada in 20 min by car mostly in a motorway. Its right on the coast with a beach a few meters away. There's nothing bad to mention about this hotel. Its clean, friendly and full of the right amenities for a place with this classification. The staff is nothing short of superb! Around the area there are a few restaurants to choose from, and i particularly recommend Alabote. Now, if you want a treat, go to Ponta Delgada and to Tasca restaurant. The food here is sensational ! No bookings here though. You just have to go and wait in line.

Overall the room was super comfortable and spacious. The bed was great too. We booked 2 queen beds which actually turned out to be two bedrooms and one bath….winning!! Would’ve preferred to be closer to Ponta Delgada and more walkable places besides the grocery store lol.

Having a room with a deck facing the ocean was awesome. Great location with only 10 minute walk to Santa Barbara Beach one way and 10 minute walk the other for several good restaurants to choose from.

The staff were as nice as the beauty of the hotel. The indoor and outdoor pools were beautiful and walking easily to the beach and shops were lovely. A few things that the hotel can do to make the stay even better: 1) turn the outdoor pool lights on at night, pool is open until 12am but it’s dark, so not safe. 2) change a few items each day at breakfast. Not appealing after day 3. 3) make the emergency pulls longer in the tub. Can’t reach a 5 ft high pull it if you falll!!!

Great value, friendly helpful staff! Loved the amenities available. Had food from Bar menu. Steak in Bread was exceptional. Pizza was very good as well. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend when staying on Sao Miguel.

Goldilocks-sized property with quality facilities. The fact that they have both outdoor and indoor pools ensures a good time even if rain hits. Spa and restaurant were both really good. Breakfast bar had a thorough spread on offer. Very nice to be able to walk to the beach and watch sunsets. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, and let us hang out at the pool while waiting for 4pm room check-in. Would definitely stay there again

We had a fantastic view of the ocean. The free breakfast buffet had a large variety of options and a lot of helpful staff. We used the workout room. The indoor heated pool, sauna, & steam room were great after a day of sightseeing!
