The hotel was great!

This stay was great! The location is amazing and very welcoming.

I was displeased that there is no on-site parking and no other option than to park in the recommended Seneca St. garage. The hotel does not validate or cover the cost for daily parking in the garage. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant took a long time. We were told (after the order was placed) that the mini quiche is made fresh in-house and would take a while. Still seemed like an excessive amount of time for an omelet and some mini quiche. I liked that there was access to a water filling station for our water bottles, coffees and teas for guests at the inside entrance to the restaurant, and such close walks to dining, and movie theater.

Staff is wonderful

The lobby was very modern and well-designed. The brick oven and bar looked great. The staff were quick to help and answer questions. The room had a unique modern design that functioned well. The breakfast attendant was friendly and helpful. The bagel with lox and cappuccino were well-prepared and delicious.

Great place, clean and awesome location

There was a bed bug crawling on the bedside table. The staff were understanding. The general manager was dismissive and told me that the room was checked and no bugs. Which of course was untrue. I took photos which she didn’t want. She as well told me I was rude because I disagreed with her. Her customer service was horrendous and dismissive and disrespectful

Noisy place. Doors slamming day and night. People in the hallways at all hours yelling. The air conditioner vent is pointed directly at the bed which may be nice for some but I was either freezing or burning up at night. And I ended up with congestion from the cold air blowing in my face all night. The thermostat is difficult to operate also. Otherwise a nice place central location.

The Canopy hotel and its rooms were extremely clean and modern. Service was wonderful, they even provided the guest with super comfy robes. Love the fact that the hotel’s location was walking distance to many areas including the Ithaca Falls. When we booked the hotel, we were expecting an average hotel but boy were we wrong! The Canopy has definitely exceeded our expectations and we look forward to future stays at The Canopy Hotels by Hilton.

Central to city, quick drive to the college, great dining options and walk to the gorge trail. Very kind, professional, and efficient hotel staff!

Went with two small kids, staff helped multiple times with heating milk and were very courteous. Enjoyed our brief stay! Rooms were very nice with everything you need.

Great hotel

The area around the Commons is always a hit or miss depending on the amount of local youth hanging out and getting high!

The Hilton Canopy is a very nice, updated design with a great lobby, bar and restaurant that gives the place a nice vibe. They offer free bikes which is fun in Ithaca, and it is near the downtown commons for easy walking and great restaurants nearby. Service was very good, and I got immediate attention when I had a problem with my TV. My only comment is that there is no obvious parking on arrival, and it is confusing. There is a garage close by, but when I arrived I could not figure out where to put my car to unload. And the parking garage does charge. Other than that, it is a great place.

We have stayed at the Canopy a couple of times and have enjoyed our stays. The location is perfect for access to the restaurants and shops in the Commons. The lobby is a nice place to hang out and the rooms are clean, comfy and stylish. We would stay here again.

I really like this hotel. The staff though need to get their act together. The managers are very good. The other staff however don’t care and act like customers are inconveniencing them.

Lovely and convenient but the walls are thin. You can hear all toilets flush I suppose along the same pipe line near the room. You can hear doors slamming all night. It’s difficult for a light sleeper.

Kinda loud. Can hear elevator shaft and peoples conversations easily

I was going to give hotel 1 star. I settled in n 3. May have been worse night of sleep at a hotel in 20 years. No one mentioned in the write ups that my room would overlook an outdoor bar scene with a booming sound system (see pic from my window). Fell asleep wearing uncomfortable noise cancelling headphones. When the music stopped, there was some mysterious shrill sound, like a high pitch whistle, that repeated every 15 seconds. Sounded as if it was echoing through the air vents (I recorded it) but I can’t say for sure. I’m so happy I opted to only stay one night and did not book two. Would never stay again at this Hilton. So why 3 stars, not 1? Front desk staff were cordial night of stay (but not overly helpful when I asked to switch rooms). Young lady working in morning was lovely. They had decent coffee as of 6:00am, and location was very central. Those factors bring me to a 3. Still … if you can’t sleep, why stay? Oh… and guy there in the morning helped me find a ride to Syracuse airport.

I didn’t this property 5 stars because they left a pizza box and other garbage in the garbage can near the elevator for my entire stay and the ice machine wasn’t working and nobody fixed it (uncoinidentally it was adjacent to the pizza box). Otherwise, my stay was lovely!

Staff was very helpful, room was very comfortable.
