Divine nature sanctuaryith super welcoming staff and delicious food

Very unique, luxurious, gorgeous eco resort. Good food, lovely staff, beautiful grounds. It was above and beyond what I expected it to be. I stayed in the tents and it was comfortable and quiet. What a wondeful place to unwinds. They have two pools and a small sauna, a playground, yoga area, and many other areas to enjoy.

Great for seclusion and get away from it all. For visiting in the town, it's inconvenient.
Staff is great, bungalows are great, location is wonderful for a yoga retreat or just meditation etc. It's not so easy to get to.

The property is very nice but I think there needs to be a buyer beware - the property is 15 minutes outside of town and you are beholden to The NamKhan shuttle service or you need to pay an overpriced fee to get back and forth. For example the last free shuttle returns from town at 6:00 pm and the night market starts at 5:00. It would be great if there was a free shuttle at 8:00 or 9:00 pm so you can enjoy the night market and the town. Of course if they offered that, the restaurant at the resort would take a hit.
I would also disappointed that there were hardly any guest at the property during our stay. It is always nice to interact with other travelers.
Finally, the resort charges an extra fee for so many things including yoga.
The property is nice but you will be secluded from do much in the area.

Stayed solo here for a personal retreat. I’m a regular to LPB. Heard such great things about the serenity of the resort from friends so thought I’d try it out. Staff are helpful and accommodating, facilities are clean and well maintained, and breakfast was simple but good. The real winner is the massage therapist Daeng, she’s simply a pain relief magician. I wish I could do more on the resort but weather was perfect during the day time. My only issues: What is shown in the photos isn’t the same as what you’re actually staying in so please help management adjust accordingly (some folks may consider it borderline false advertising). I was in a room that had two beds and barely any natural sunlight, which seems like a missed design opportunity, but then when I asked to be in a quieter part next to the river, I was placed in an explorer tent which was quaint and fun but simply not functional with how cold it got at night and the lack of privacy with the open bathroom concept, which basically is a transparent curtain with plenty of mosquitoes and no privacy from above. There was a group who had a drone they were using on the property so I wasn’t comfortable knowing the open space in my room. Unsure if paying for riverfront should cost more if you’re in a tent but that was overall fun times.

Luxury in untouched nature
We can absolutely recommend this paradise!
We booked a tent directly by the river. It was very luxuriously equipped and had an own platform with a breathtaking view. We were actually surprised how spacious the tent was!
The staff was very friendly and gave us good recommendations on what to do or where to go. We can recommend the kayaking or the waterfalls tour.
It was very important for us to find place that offers also good vegan options in their menu as I am vergab and my boyfriend not. I have to say this lodge was an amazing choice. Both food options, regular and vegan were exceptional!
Overall, a super nice experience. We will come back!

Definitely recommend this ecolodge !
Amazing jungle resort along a beautiful river. We had an wonderful stay and didn’t want to leave. The grounds are beautiful, they have so much space and activities. The dishes at the restaurant are so tasty.
It is the place to be in Luang Prabang!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was cozy and exceptionally clean. Lots of things to do on the grounds. My room had a ceiling fan but no AC...not a problem right now but would probably not be the best option during hot season. Overall a great experience and I would definitely come again.

I loved staying at the NamKhan Ecolodge. Everything is new and the staff is amazing. The only real downside to staying at the hotel is that my room was air conditioned. I found that I didn't sleep well at night due to the lack of air conditioning. I really believed that I selected a room with air con, but I don't believe any of the rooms have it. I made this known to the staff and the said that they'd check to make sure the hotels.com ad details matched the reality of the rooms. They staff was also really open to constructive feedback because they are interested in making the visit great for guests.
I loved the yoga, but wished it was included in the cost of the stay. The same with the tubing. I think the value would be better if a few lower cost activities were included in the stay.
I liked the breakfast included and thought it was generous, but sometimes the items would be running out with an hour or more left in the breakfast time period. It seems like the items should be served differently to ensure that everyone gets all of the options available, not matter the time they come within the breakfast period.
The food at the restaurant was very good. It's pricier than in town, but still worth the money and cheaper than at home. I had amazing pad thai, fried spring rolls, and a buddha bowl. All were delicious and were portioned generously.
Had coronavirus not required me to go home at a moment's notice, I would have revisited Laos and the Ecolodge.

Had an amazing time. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. It’s a bit far from the downtown but they do provide shuttle if you need one for free on certain times. They offer a lot of activities around the site if you just wanna stay and relax. All in all i would highly recommend Namkham Ecolodge specially the Tents. It’s such a nice experience.

This place is amazing! My family and I booked this ecolodge for 3 days and we wish we had booked more nights. This location is breathtaking. Its quiet and tranquil as it is next to a river. We stayed in the cutely crafted bungalows and it was our home away from home. The staff is superb. They answered our every need. They also interacted with our children. The farm and gardens are well kept and used for the delicious fresh meals they serve. All in all we will definitely stay here again when we vist Luang prabung. My children were heartbroken as we drove away from this magical place! Oh btw the staff even used thier driver to take us to our next hotel for no charge. Ive never had that happened. It just shows how much they cater to their guest. Take my advice stay here before it gets fully booked.

My girlfriend and I wanted to stay at a special place for the last night in Laos - we came across the ecolodge while looking online and got very excited. we booked the farm bungalow as the explorer tents were fully booked sadly. the room was super lovely and perfect for our stay but i really wish we could have stayed longer. the staff are super friendly and made us feel so welcome from the first moment we arrived. The food was delicious too & the chef made a big effort to look after my girlfriends special needs as she is vegan. after dinner we had a private fire spot on the the island and a few glasses of wine but got up for the yoga class at 07.30 in the morning, we wish we could have had more time to explore this beautiful place. we will be back for sure - a big thank you to the lovely staff for looking after us so well

the staff here are lovely, the food is delicious and the grounds are beautiful. I wouldn’t recommend staying, but a day visit would be lovely. Massage was wonderful. The bungalow had a terrible sewage smell, the place was full of mosquitos and no spray offered, the mosquito nets were not large enough for the bed. It just started up, so likely to improve in the coming months and years.

We stayed for 4 nights in the ecolodge tents. The experience was fantastic. The restaurant was good with organic fruits and vegetables. The staff was very friendly. The ecolodge setting about 20 min outside of Luang Prabang is beautiful and relaxing with an amazing organic garden. We highly recommend it.

An unexpected level of comfort and style. Great breakfasts and outstanding hospitality. The local team truly went above and beyond to make sure our trip and onward journey in Laos was successful. Even though the resort is quite a distance out of town, don’t be put off. They run a regular shuttle service back and forth to the centre.

We loved our stay at the ecolodge! Our gorgeous tent was right on the river and was totally luxurious and comfortable, while still allowing us to connect with nature. The grounds are still unfinished but offer many activities - from volleyball courts to a farm you can visit. The restaurant is adorable and the whole experience was amazing. Great hospitality and a wide range of activities were offered to us. Highly recommend.

This place was AMAZING!! They recently opened their bungalows and are about to open their “glamping” tents along the river. I have been to Luang Prabang before and feel that Namkhan Is extremely unique in their combination of eco-ethics and affordable luxury. They have off site tours and also offer excellent on site activities, like tubing, swimming in their pool, farm tours, horse back riding, various sports, and massages. They also grow and make their food on site (it’s a real farm!) , so it’s delicious. Last, but not least, the staff is extremely attentive, accommodating, and they are really interested in giving you a fantastic experience. My only concern is that it will be fully booked when I try to go back.
