Great stay! Shelley was extremely easy to work with and the Bed & Breakfast is close to everything!

A beautiful, quiet, exceptionally clean property with a wonderful breakfast made and served by the friendly proprietor. I don’t make it out Paducah very often but will gladly stay here again. It’s worth noting that the shower had excellent water pressure and heat.

The breakfast was very delicious. I enjoyed talking with the owner my first day there since I was the only guest that day. The second day we had more guests, so the other guests were talking with the owner.
Although I had problems with the tv, she did her best to solve the problem.
The bed and especially the pillows were very comfortable. I enjoyed the balcony and the close proximity to the downtown.

Beautiful Bed-and-breakfast facility. Amazing room with lots of space and comfortable beds. It would’ve been nice to stay a little longer to enjoy how quaint this home was. If I ever come back to Paducah, this will definitely be the place to stay.

We fell in love with The Respite and Shelley! Breakfast was simple and wonderful and Shelley sat with us and talked about whatever we wanted to talk about. We will return!

We are so glad we found The Respite. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The bed was excellent. Not realizing breakfast was included, they texted us to let us know they had breakfast in the kitchen for us. It was a wondeful stay.

We only stayed one night while passing through Paducah and I wanted something in the historic downtown district. This property was beautiful and check in was easy and convenient. We were sent the codes to get into the B&B and the room prior to arriving and everything worked perfectly. The room (#4) is very roomy and beautifully decorated. The billiards room was very cool. We met the hostess, Shelley, at breakfast and she was very friendly, and we enjoyed talking with her. It was only a couple blocks walk to get to the downtown area where we enjoyed sampling some local brews at Paducah Beer Werks and supper at Broussard's for some delicious Cajun food. I wish we had planned on staying another night or two!

We loved our stay! It was quiet. Room was spacious and very comfortable! We didnt get to enjoy breakfast there due to scheduling with other activities. We would like to stay there again next year!

Absolutely loved this place. The outside of the building does not do justice to the clean, beautiful decor of the interior. It was quiet and comfortable. The owner was up in the morning making breakfast for all the guests that were staying there the night previously. She was kind, sociable and a great hostess.

Great find! Rooms are big and beautiful. Bathroom has plush towels, adjustable hand held shower and soap shampoo dispenser. House is beautiful. We enjoyed playing pool, sitting outside and on the couch in the hall. Will definitely stay again! Thanks Shelley for all your attention to details!

Although this looks like an historic house and it’s nestled in the historic district, it’s actually, relatively new. It has all the modern conveniences. I do wish there was a full length mirror. Otherwise it was perfect.

The b&b is beautiful. We are disappointed that there isn't a thermostat for the room so we could control the temp of our room. Also disappointed in the comfort of the mattress. It is very hard and uncomfortable.

Shelley reached out with all the information we needed to check in and get to our room and answered all of my qurstions. In the morning, she made our wonderful breakfast of eggs, cheesey hashbrowns, bacon, yogurt, juice and coffee! Bed was very comfortable, jacuuzi tub worked great. Very nice stay!

Had a wonderful time at Respite bed and breakfast. Everything was beyond our expectations and host was friendly and very accommodating to our wishes. Will definitely stay there again.

Nice clean room, disappointed breakfast wasn't served until 9 am and we needed to leave earlier. A voucher to a local cafe was provided.

I brought my wife to this Beautiful B&B for her birthday. We met a couple at the Respite B&B and we all went to The Freight House for dinner, then we all went to see, The Little River Band. We had a great time then we came back to the B&B and played pool! Breakfast the next morning was great and Shelley was so nice! We can hardly wait to come back!

The room was spacious, well-appointed and spotless and the house was quiet. Breakfast, while not spectacular, offered a good variety of choices, e.g., eggs and bacon, potatoes, parfait and cinnamon rolls. The host kindly made the room available early (although we were busy sightseeing around Paducah); however we became a little confused in getting to our room, perhaps due to the quilt convention activities which were winding up.

This was such a pleasant stay at Respite! We felt safe and comfortable- the room was beautiful and clean. The hostess was friendly and available. The artsy downtown area along the river was close by.
