overall great service but I was booked in a room with an interleading door (locked) but the sound travelled through the door allowing me to heard everything my neighbor was up to

The hotel is rated 4 stars and is worthy of the rating. It is an upscale hotel. Parking is on the same floor as your room with easy keyed access. As most hotels in Umhlanga they do have some noise from street racers with noisy exhausts. The hotel is on the quiet side of Umhlanga ridge. The restaurant is good with four star pricing. Personally I missed a small refrigerator in the room. Also typical of South African hotels nowadays they do not run hvac systems which did not matter much during my June visit. Options for food are limited to the on site restaurant or you have to take a ride to the Umhlanga strip about 2 Km away or the fast food outlets in and around the Gateway centre about 1.5 Km away.

Nice, quiet, comfortable.

The place is nice and clean but the guests there can be loud and act like they own the place even breaking the rules of no glass in the pool. They don’t care there are other guests in the hotel and make scenes. When we complained with the staff they even said there was nothing they can do like they allow these things to happen

The only complaint we have is that the parking is so far from the hotel and the parking is tricky when one vehicle is going up and another is going down.

A very pleasant stay.

There was only 1 person at the check in desk, she was very pleasant but overwhelmed with all the guests. There were at least 5 people that greeted us at the hotel entrance, but apparently she was the only clerk on duty.

It was great befitting of the 3.5 star rating. Room was great, clean and comfortable. Service still needs improvement, very keen and friendly staff but still needs a bit more training. Credit does go to their enthusiasm.

I stayed six nights at the hotel. It is new. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. I had a nice soaking tub in my room plus a walk in shower. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The service was wonderful. Everyone was always willing to help if I needed anything. I will definitely stay again.

Service is poor. Bad experience with reservations manager whom was rude. unprofessional and abrupt.

Hotel had an excellent location and the quality of the room was outstanding. Will definitely stay there again.

When we arrived, the staff had no record of our booking which was paid for in full, and they were fully booked. They found us a room in their hotel next door. It was a smaller room, aircon did not work and there was a nasty smell coming from the shower drain.

Stay was amazing and the facility was spotless.

They must normalize cleaning every day and changing the linen... We had to sleep on a dirty linen not washedThey must improve on their cleaning department a dissapointment.. Especially we are leaving in a pandemic. So dissapointing

The hotel itself was nice to stay at. Clean, stylish and comfortable rooms. We only had a few minor problems. There was no one to take our bags to the room. The open shower was inconvenient as it flooded the entire bathroom. Sufficient bathroom essentials such as shower caps were not given. There was no bar fridge and only one bedside table. The cleaning staff were rowdy in the mornings outside the rooms, so it was not as peaceful as it should be waking up in a hotel. The parking area needs to be managed better as the gates did not open for us all the time and anyone can have access to the hotel.

This was an amazing birthday weekend, a great way to relax and enjoy the pleasant views of Umhlanga. very comfortable and luxurious experience. we loved our room and a change of scenery

It was my second stay with the hotel as I was super impressed the first time around. However I was given the room on the 5th floor. The room was smaller than my first stay yet the price and room description was the same. The plug point was not working, shower light was not working and the room was missing a pedestal.Staff are great and hotel is clean. Hotel needs to be consistent.

The lady from Management WAS RUDE and condescending! One lady at the front desk wasn’t wearing a mask. Rooms are great and nice view of the ocean.
