Great place if you have a pet

Beds were terrific. Tv was great. Breakfast was adequate. No Kleenex.

Spartan accommodations. Had to wait 10 minutes for desk person to get off the phone to check in. Room he sent me to already had people in it.

Ideal location for activities in the Gaylord area. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and provided what is needed.

The facility was nice and new. The room was not as clean as I would have liked. The floor and the shower seemed dirty. I wasn’t sure if the room had been cleaned, but the beds were made and the towels were folded, so someone must have been in there to prepare the room. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been sure if it had been cleaned.

The location and property were just what we were looking for. Very clean and modern and new, the housekeeping service we requested didn’t come twice so we had to keep calling to ask for more towels, and our room never got cleaned. Otherwise it was a great stay.

I liked the easy access to the workout room and the pool table in the lobby. And the pancakes!

I reserved a handicap room and ended up way down a hallway, not a handicap room, and there was no chair in the shower. I battle with MS and it affects my legs, so walking and standing is extremely difficult for me. They did switch us to a handicap room, which the wall paper was peeling off in the bathroom, the grout was falling out of the bathroom floor, and there was no toilet paper holder on the wall. You could see the screw holes where it used to be. I also discovered a q-tip and and 2 toothpicks under the desk. I didn't look to see if they were used before picking them up with toilet paper. There should be an option for a thermos or something to take to your room for coffee. If you have people like me, I can't be walking down every hour or so to get one...it's not feasible. No microwave in the rooms was unfortunate, but I get it. We wanted to play pool but was told we weren't able to because the weekend before, a group of kids ate (yes, ate!) the chalk for the pool sticks, so we had to wait until they got more chalk. We came down later that evening to go for dinner and noticed a group of kids playing pool, without chalk...hmmm.

The hotel is nice, the rooms are comfortable, the staff was very friendly. The only thing to be aware of is it’s $75.00 for your pet, they are considered pet friendly. That is the highest I’ve ever paid traveling with my pet.

Clean and spacious rooms

We love staying at the Tru when we come up to Gaylord to ski. Has a great gathering area in the lobby with TVs, games, pool table and lost of after hours snack options to purchase. Our family had a great time. Its so close to everything as well and cant bewt the price.

I had the worst day of my life when I checked in and the front desk staff could tell. They were so sweet and gave me water and a snack. Really made me feel better. Thank you so much for the hospitality!

Good place to stay. Maybe few more options for breakfast as pancake machine was hit or miss.

The property was nice, and the staff was friendly. However, the room was not cleaned properly as there was still trash in one on the bins and the shower was dirty with hair in the drain.

Nice easy access to food, highway. Not far from Boyne where we skied.

The noise on our floor was horrible. We heard the people above us stomping around ALL NIGHT. Would not stay here again.

I was immediately created with a smile and a hello!!! The staff that I encountered was kind and considerate. The lobby was very clean, as was my room. I would suggest that during the winter they offer one additional blanket, for the bed. However, I say that only in a constructive way. The “continental breakfast” was amazing, hot and delicious. Lots of options for your tastes. I was actually very shocked. Those breakfast offers at other places are a complete joke! Tru, Gaylord Michigan has it dialed in. Oh did I mention the place was clean??!!!! lol! Great job and I will stay there again for my next business trip.

Great affordable hotel

My stay was excellent. The lady at the check was extremely nice she work very hard to get me checked in early so I could go to work.

The heater/air system kept making loud clicking noise all night long … got no sleep. Have stayed here many times and we love it but very disappointed with this time

This was our second time staying here. The rooms are small but clean & comfortable. The breakfast is by far the best we have come across in our travels

Overall a great stay, only complaints were no in room microwave and the room doors were very loud when closing from other rooms.
