Lived the easy access to beach and quaint house.

This townhouse was amazing. The location is super close to the beach and you have a view from the top primary bedroom. The beds were really comfortable which makes or breaks a stay for me. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Thank you!!!

The Shorebird was clean, comfortable, well anppointed and cozy. My only regret was not booking a longer stay.

This was one of the most relaxing trips my wife and I have had for quite some time with the private driveway and the house settled into the landscape on the hill overlooking the trees and foliage on the property. Loved the layout of the 3 stories and the master bedroom had a partial view of the ocean and the fireplace in the living room was very well needed on the chilly and wet days. Will attempt to return in the future.

Well equiped and clean and up to date

It's always nice to dedicate some time to maybe doing...nothing much...but repeated beach walks and sunset viewing, punctuated by hikes and bumming around locally! We enjoyed preparing meals in the well-appointed kitchen, reading on the deck and having long soaks in the big bathtub. This was our second stay here, and we would be happy to come back again.

This property is managed by VACASA. The company had re dived notification from recent that the propane supply (necessary for cooking on the stove top, on the outside grill, and in the oven; and for the fireplace) was exhausted. Instead of finding us alternative lodgings, they rented the place to us without addressing that issue. We discovered the issue after purchasing groceries to cook meals for our visit. 24 hours after we checked in for our 2-night stay, a worker delivered a single burner electric hot plate and a second electric toaster oven. When we tried cooking bkfst on our last morning with these devices, a fuse blew and the refrigerator went out. VACASA dis credit me w/a refund; however, the call center staff was not permitted to give me contact info for anyone in management w/whom I could discuss my concerns. The experience was disappointing, especially because the property itself was otherwise well appointed, well furnished and mostly clean and in decent repair.

Beautiful home, and perfect location with proximity to beach and walking/bike path into town. House and property were very clean. However, when I contacted Vacasa about a parking challenge I spoke with numerous representatives and the most local person was on the other side of the state. While they were very kind, they were unable to help with the situation or get me anybody local to speak with. Additionally, the propane tank was completely empty so we were unable to use the stove or oven to cook - big disappointment for my family!

Place was excellent. Very comfy and well stocked.with modern appliances and gas fireplace and balconies. 5 minute walk to ocean. Be aware that there are 3 floors inside but easy carpeted stairway. For those who care about views no ocean view due to tree cover even though right near ocean but 5 minute stroll and you are at the ocean

The only downside was the stairs - I don't remember reading that it had three levels. I loved it but it was hard on my 91 year old Mom. The place was a joy overall!

The Shorebird accommodated four adults and three teenagers quite well. The space was comfortable and well maintained.

The house was great, cozy and clean. The three flights of stairs to the master bedroom works well for a daily work out. I would love to stay again.

We loved being minutes from the beach. Great beds. Can hear and see the ocean. The house is 3 floors and the parking is awkward to be nice. There is only 1 space under carport and our large truck didn’t fit - so we all needed to drive in and unload and switch to the other parking etc. that makes the arrival and departure a project. Also the mgmt company isn’t my favorite. The kitchen had NO SUPPLIES. I mean - no salt, oil, pepper NOTHING. No storage containers, no plastic, no foil. Hardly any soap. Dirty dishes. The management company wanted to tell me repeatedly that it was “high contact surfaces/covid”… but every other rental we have used in manzanita (during covid) always had a couple basics. Also the kitchen sank RAN unless put into the exact position that it took me about a half hour to figure out. The dishwasher rack was broken, too. Mgmt also needed to to telll me that i would have gotten a better price also if i had booked direct. So while the house is great - the management could use a lesson in proactive customer service.

The entertainment system is nice, the furniture is much better than most beach rentals, and the layout of the place is great for 3-6 people. Any more than that would be tight. Our townhouse at home is three levels, so the stairs didn't bother us, but the house even has an elevator that Sunset would probably turn on for you if you have real trouble with stairs. The kitchen is modern and spacious, and the place is lighter and brighter than some of the pictures indicate. While some complained about the kitchen equipment, this is a rental property and you can't expect All Clad pans. Yes, the non-stick pans are a little scratched, but we are decent cooks and made do with the other pans and the place is pretty well stocked. Bring a couple of really sharp knives, tongs and a fish spatula and you'll be in good shape.My only issue is with the way Sunset handles early check in requests. We booked this three weeks ahead and asked for an early check-in if it wasn't rented the days before. Even though it wasn't rented for at least 4 days before our arrival, the earliest we could check in was 2:00. Unless we wanted to pay an extra $100. It would have been easy for Sunset to schedule their day of arrival property check for the AM and have the place ready for us by Noon or 12:30. Using COVID as an excuse for poor customer service seems to be popular these days, but if it were me I would use it as a way to distinguish yourself for excellent customer service instead of being snotty to customers on the phone. Asking for an extra $100 even though your customer only gets half a day (or less if the check in is after noon) for their full day rate is ridiculous. I've rented from a number of rental agencies in Manzanita, and the only reason I might not return here is Sunset's poor customer service.

I felt like I was staying at a friend's nice and cozy beach home. Nothing felt or looked "rental/vacation home" and it was furnished nicely. The radiant heaters at the ceilings took some time to warm up but once they did they were very toasty. The gas fireplace puts out a lot of heat as well. This is a nice spot hidden away but very close to the beach.

Cons: all Teflon skillets stacked in each other and therefore badly scratched and unhealthy to use with no other option (our pancake breakfast got scrapped due to this), some kitchen utensils melted and bordering unusable, the worst paper products I've seen (TP, paper towels), 3rd floor bedroom/bathroom gorgeous but be prepared for those 2 flights of stairs, 2nd floor bathroom sink very slow to drain, carpets a bit dirty. "Beach" towels would be helpful to clean one's feet upon entry.

Parking next to the front door was great, and we appreciated having the foyer on the lower level to wipe our dogs paws and leave our shoes after coming inside.The kitchen was well-stocked, living area with TV was cozy, and we loved the air flow at night and ability to relax in the master suite on the upper level. It's about a mile walk along the beach or the road into town, which is perfect in the morning to let the dog run along the beach and then grab breakfast in town.So far this is the favorite place we've stayed along the Oregon Coast, and we would definitely come back.

A newer townhome/condo with comfortable furniture in the living room. Great couch for lounging when the weather is rainy. The kitchen was very well stocked with small appliances, dishes, utensils. More than what we usually see. Very nice washer and dryer. Just a few minor complaints that are easily fixed: the mattress in the downstairs adult room was as hard as a rock and needs replaced, the master bedroom mattress ( a sleep number) had a feather/down add-on topper that was funky smelling and stained ( it needs replaced), the door into the master bath is squeaky and annoying (especially at night), the sink in the main level bathroom is slow to drain, the carpet in the home needs a good cleaning or better vacuuming due to dog hair and smell. We loved the covered parking and close access to the beach. Despite all of the issues, we would stay here again. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.

4 adults, 1infant and a dog! We all had a great time here. Be aware the bookcase in the kids room (bunk beds) is NOT anchored to the wall, and you’ll need to bring your own condiments/essentials if you plan to use the kitchen. This was a fun stay and a beautiful spot!
