House was clean, very private setting. Dog enjoyed the big yard and all the new scents. Enjoyed my morning walks to moonlight beach and down Neptune street. Lots of bikes, walkers and surfers. Walk or drive to local restaurants. Would stay again!

Jason & Lilly are great hosts! They communicated with me to make sure our stay was enjoyable...& it was! Jason happened to be at the house when we arrived & gave us a little history about the house. The property was perfect for our doggies (even included them in the welcome sign!). The house is old, but has been tastefully remodeled & upgraded. The location is perfect for venturing out or exploring Leucadia & Encinitas. Hope to be back again!

❤️ Vivi's Chill Vacation Spot ❤️ Our family, including out dog Vivi, had a wonderful time staying in Encinitas on this lovely property. The home was very nice and it was such a wonderful situation to have a large fully fenced property with secured access only. The home had a very nice energy and it was easy to feel comfortable right away. IYKYK . The property is in a quiet area, but not far from the hustle and bustle of the beach, if that's what you prefer. Two of our days were a bit warm between 2 pm through 5 pm, so consider those temperature changes if you decide to walk or ride your bikes to PCH or onto the beach. The house has fantastic air flow for these warmer hours. There are also additional fans, if you enjoy lots of extra air flow. Definitely consider bringing or renting bikes; eBikes are rentable on PCH. We loved the kitchen, even though we didn't use the stove or oven. The home has all you'd need for pots, pans, utensils, etc., of you'd like to cook or bake. For us, who stock the refrigerator with a variety of drinks, cut fruit and other snacks for which the refrigerator was very roomy to add many things. If you are a big fan of cold water, regular ice and crushed ice, then you're also set. The orchard had the prettiest scent of citrus and orange flowers (blossoms?). It was really well fenced and safe for Vivi to explore. While we didn't see any squirrels or possums, we did see a small lizard and a neighborhood cat. We really enjoyed our stay at this home. It's a very safe property for your dog to visit and safely explore. We cater our trips for Vivi, so this property was A+ quality for her. We'd recommend bringing bikes for an easier beach access than walking or being brave enough to try to find car parking along the beach line. Definitely setup a UberEats and DoorDash account in advance; whether you place an order to pickup or for delivery from any of the restaurants. Most restaurants require orders to be placed through a food delivery third party like these two companies and have contactless options. Beach restaurants had lines out the door during the sunny beach weekend and we were able to get food delivery from busy restaurants in less than an hour with delivery. Lastly, Vons, Ralphs, Walmart and Target are less than 10 minutes away; learn where those are right away for anything you may need, including filling the refrigerator with drinks, snacks and ice cream. Another great stay at this special Property. Lots of outdoor space for our pups and very comfortable and spacious inside. Jason is very easy to work with and even offered to shop for us before our arrival. We come to the area several times a year and this property will always be our first choice.

We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back again! The hosts were super responsive and friendly. The house had everything we needed. Best part of the rental is definitely the property - fully fenced and great for dogs. Partial view of the ocean as well which was a nice bonus.

We had a lovely 9 night stay at Jason's property in Leucadia. We brought our two dogs and they loved roaming the 1/3 acre property. We also enjoyed checking out all Leucadia and Encinitas have to offer - we especially enjoyed the winery just a half mile from the house, Le Papagaya, and the many bars and restaurants in Encinitas. We also really appreciated the location of the house just west of I-5, which gave us great access to get into San Diego and out to Temecula when we wanted to check out the wineries. The home is spacious and had everything we needed for our stay, including an extensive supply of Keurig pods, a smart TV, and two well appointed bathrooms. Probably our favorite feature was all of the fresh citrus fruit out in the yard that Jason encouraged us to enjoy. We'd definitely stay again next time we're in San Diego and looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat with all of the comforts of home.

Jason and Lilly have a splendid place here! It's a 2-BR, 2-BA renovated/remodeled ranch house on a large lot with orange, grapefruit and maybe lemon trees. Oranges and grapefruit were in season, so we enjoyed those immensely. From either the front porch or the rear deck, you can see the ocean in the distance. It's a pleasant 3-block walk to the Coast Highway, with lots of choices for food. It's a great area for biking! The house has a nice gas range/oven for cooking, excellent fridge, good laundry facilities. Our visit spanned Christmas, so Jason & Lilly brought in an actual, live tree...and decorated it. Also a wreath and fragrant pinecones, even exterior illumination. The lot is gated with power gate, so it's your own little personal slice of SoCal heaven. The area around this old ranchette has grown into townhomes and condos, but you can still get that funky 60s or 70s vibe here, while enjoying all the amenities of a modern and tastefully decorated (in beach theme) home. Really terrific.

Clean and lovely home on peaceful property. Separate deck with ocean views was a perfect spot for toasting to friendship during sunset and yoga in the morning. Leucadia was a perfect home base for our weekend SoCal coastal exploration.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a great location, extremely clean and comfortable. The hosts are considerate and communicative. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The neighborhood was quiet. The fenced -in yard was perfect for our little dog. Perfect amount of space for 3 people. The yard has a lot of fruit trees and a garden, which was fun to wander through. The locked gate at the front made the property feel very secure and safe. Good communication with Jason. We didn't need any help, but i always knew I could reach him if needed.

We chose this property as it’s outdoor space is substantial! It was close to the dog beach. Totally dog friendly. We highly recommend this property and we will definitely be back! Beautiful views of the setting sun -icing on the cake!

Great property up on the hill. Wake up to the ocean breeze, and jog down to the beach. Excellent location near all the good stuff in Leucadia and Encinitas. Spacious property. We loved our time there.

Our experience was nothing short of awesome!!! We booked this house knowing sleeping options were limited but would still work for our family’s needs, right after booking I filled out the “about me” type questionnaire for the VRBO host and received a response from our host Jason immediately double checking to make sure his accommodations matched mine which I was very thankful for! Additionally he gave me a very detailed breakdown of how to not only get to the property but also how he had everything set up for us. He allowed us free range to any ripened fruits or vegetables in the amazing garden he and his daughter had planted which totally blew us away and was such a unique touch on our overall experience. Jason also made a point to reassure me that if I had any needs or concerns along the way to just let him know and he would be happy to accommodate us further. Jason was so attentive, and helpful throughout the whole process and I truly don’t think we could have gotten luckier with the property that we chose or Jason as the host himself! His little slice of paradise is definitely one that we would love to return to in the near future and we cannot thank him enough for being a top tier host! Thank you so much Jason and Lilly, we will definitely be back again!!!

Loved the property and the owners were very easy to work with. Dog friendly……..left us dog treats and water bowl. Large fenced yard and walking distance to beach restaurants. We will be back!

Jason’s place was fantastic, he was very communicative, generous and available at all points of our stay. I was working while there and the desk setup in the living room was a perfect space for me to get work done. The bathrooms and kitchen have all been updated and are very clean. The only thing I’d say is that the property is actually much bigger and cooler than the pictures show! It’s about a third of an acre fully enclosed with a remote gate- which was perfect for my pup and baby cousins. There’s all sorts of fruit trees and bushes growing on the property. Lemons, grapefruit, avocado - I ate dragon fruit and tomatoes off the vine and there was even watermelon growing. Truly a magical find in a small beach community! Walking distance to lots of great restaurants. Papagayos just down the street has a great brunch and dinner. Independent coffee spots galore in leucadia and Encinitas. Truly a fabulous beach bungalow hideaway in the perfect summer escap beach town. Thank you Jason, we’ll be back! :)

Great experience, felt the vibes of the beach community from the min u enter the property and throughout the home. Owners were thoughtful and welcoming via txt msg and quick to respond to any questions or concerns.

The house was beautiful. Jason was extremely accommodating to our needs. Absolutely can’t wait to make this a regular vacation spot. Kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed. The washer dryer is a nice perk. The living room and office/desk space face the ocean - magical place to work remotely. Location proximity to local shops, restaurants and beach is convenient and close. The neighborhood itself is quiet, quaint and has a Hawaii vibe. The landscaping is beautiful and fragrant. The sunset views of the ocean. are unmatched. We still talk about our stay and cannot wait to stay there again.

Jason and Lily are great hosts and we would highly recommend their ocean view vintage cottage. It is so quiet up on the hill, yet so close to restaurants and the freeway. There is the occasional train horn but it's part of coastal life.
