The stay was enjoyable and relaxing for a group of women in our thirties! We used the jacuzzi and barrel sauna, and enjoyed all the options for games, ping pong, etc. Considering the Kawartha Lakes area was on fire watch and it was still cold outside in early spring it was especially nice to have the indoor fireplace to use and roast marshmallows. The bathrooms were clean and the kitchen is well stocked, but I would recommend bringing your own containers for leftovers. One of the bedrooms has one bed only, while the rest are shared rooms with multiple beds or a pull-out couch. The cottage is very close to neighbours across the river so they can see you and vice versa, so that's less private, but the overall area is nice: tons of birds (great for birders) and close to Indian Point Provincial Park and Balsam Lake Provincial Park.

Our family had a great time at this cottage. It provided everything we needed. The property manager and homeowner were both very helpful. The home was clean and well stocked. We loved the hot tub, pool table and ping pong table. The cottage is located close to both Bobcaygeon and Fenelon falls for day trips. We would definitely recommend this cottage for a winter getaway.

10/10 place to stay!!!! Me and my girlfriends have stayed here the last three years. We just got back from an amazing fun filled weekend and have noticed a HUGE change in upgrades for the BETTER!!!! New beds, new kitchen appliances, beach towels (was a nice touch), new couches and lots of space to enjoy and relax. 100% will be coming back and possibly spend some time in the summer. This cottage was perfect for a few friends looking for a quick retreat. The place was well kept and it had everything we needed. Being on the water we even got to take some cold dips in the river. 🥶😁

Lots of yard space for outdoor games . Spacious deck looking over the river. Clean & modern kitchen / appliances . Lower level was a hit with the kids , they enjoyed having their own space .

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage! There’s lots of sleeping space, it’s very clean, and the hot tub is a huge bonus! The properly is located right on the river so the view is beautiful. The hosts were lovely and left me a bottle of champagne with a nice note for my birthday - so thoughtful! Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Mike and Jacqueline!

We just wanted to thank Michael and his family for bending over backwards to make our stay a memorable one. As Micheal just took possession of this property two days before our arrival, we both had to go through some hoops with VRBO. Michael made this as painless as possible. He was only able to get access to the house 5 hours prior to our arrival. In that time the house was professionally cleaned and some repairs and alterations made. A welcome basket with goodies was a great start to our stay. The first day was spent getting used to where everything was and getting our friend's dog acclimatized to the property. We discovered the amazing collection of VHS tapes in the basement and spent our time at night watching old great action flicks. It was so much fun. The hot tub and sauna became part of our daily routine after a day spent out fishing and boating on a pontoon boat which was rented from Rosedale Marina. The cottage was located on Burnt River about an hour from Cameron Lake. We enjoyed the trip up and down the river. Our wives enjoyed using the 2 kayaks on the river and we were able to fish right off the dock. There is a large fire pit which we used and enjoyed and a gazebo on the back deck was great for cocktails and just sitting and relaxing. The layout of the cottage worked perfectly for us as there was a bathroom and bedroom in the basement that we used and our friends used the 2 bedrooms and bathroom on the main floor. Michael, as the new owner, did not have time prior to our arrival to make any large changes. Since our 2 week stay, he let us know that he has upgraded the furniture and made many changes to improve the cottage rental experience. We and our friends look forward to renting from Michael again.
