- Staff (receptionist Erica was really great in both explaining me the hostel facilities and handling several complaints I had to make) - Room/Beds (I slept well all nights) - Cleanliness (no complaits to make, so was great) - Restaurant (far from perfect, but still the best value for money available for dinner in the neighborhood)

- Only one key per dorm (what if I accidentally go out with the key, come back late in the night and other roommates want to enter the room to sleep?) - I reserved a bed in a male dorm but at some point I found myself females there. Not a problem for me, but for someone else might potentially be. - The near restaurant is also a pub, and 3 times/week they are open till late night. Problem is, there is a lot of noise (I heard'em at 3:45am from my room), a smooth sleep is far from guaranteed, and if I have to wake up early es.for a trekking, it can be disappointing. I am here to sleep after all.

the setback to all of this has no direct connenction with the hostel itself: the nearby restaurant tranforms to a noisy bar that closes at 4 in the morning. for me it was impossible to sleep at night. this was my second stay (first was 3 years ago) and both times the disturbing noise at night was the same. after this experience it seems very unlikely that this was the second »exception«. it would be a great place if the staff of the hostel could negociate a solution to this with the restaurant/bar.

The hostel is a bit far from the city center of Cogne and up the hill.. but there is a great restaurant/bar next door to eat if you are too tired to go back to the city after your hike

Excellent service on arrival. 10 star for the cleanliness Beds extremely comfortable Showers and toilets extremely clean Highly recommended
