A great base of operations for exploring the Nanaimo area. The comprehensive game room was an extra benefit!

We were very pleased with our stay at Foggy Knoll Cottage. Everything was very clean, and the host provided above and beyond what we needed for a comfortable stay. Very glad we went!

We truly enjoyed our stay. The games room was a hit as a family. We enjoyed the chalkboard with ideas of what to do and where to go. It would have been nice to have a little more info on the suggestions. The only issue for us was the beds. The online listing is not accurate for the amount of beds. We are a tall family and the pull out couch was small. And the two beds in the one room are better for smaller children. I'd say it sleeps 5-6.

We had a great stay at this small old farm house. It has everything you need and was clean and cosy.

Great place to spend our girls weekend. We arrived very late & the check in process could not have been more accommodating. Everything was impeccably clean & well thought out. The cottage is an exactly as the pictures show & so cute I would recommend this location to anyone.

This historic cottage is charming, spacious and functional. The Cable Bay Trail out to Joan Park along the coast is an absolute must walk. We had four days of rain and still enjoyed ourselves greatly, thanks to the games room.

This property is an absolute dream. Everything was perfect about our stay. Well stocked kitchen to cook in, comfortable furniture and beds, great linens and such a beautiful property. We stayed 8 guests in total comfortably and had one of the best weekends I can remember. Took a walk down to the water and watched sea lions swim by against the beautiful views. The hosts were extremely gracious as well. Our whole group of friends is excited for another chance to come back and visit. It is exactly what we wanted and cozier than anything you could ask for. Highly recommend.

We had a very pleasant stay. The hosts set us up very well and made the place feel just perfect for a Christmas / New Years visit. The front porch provided much needed space, and the kitchen met all our needs. The games room was a highlight, though chilly at this time of year to spend much time in. Perhaps adding a couple of heaters would help. The laundry facilities were helpful and very appreciated. I was caught off guard a bit by the steep stairs to the 2nd floor. I found it challenging, though that's where the kids slept so I was okay. One thing that would help would be multi-plug outlet extenders, as in this old property, we struggled sometimes to find a place to plug our devices in (minor problem). The advertisement said "minutes from the beach", For some reason, I thought that meant walking distance - that was a slight disappointment for me. However, the Cable Bay 2KM trail was a huge highlight and could be commented on in your advertisement. Thanks for everything! We truly had a wonderful stay and our kids are still talking about "the cottage" now that we are back home.

Really beautiful cottage that’s perfect for families or groups. Kitchen is really well stocked, loads of games to keep everyone entertained and a full games room and bbq as well. As some other reviews have mentioned the stairs are a little steep (but absolutely fine as long as you’re prepared for that). Amazing hosts who decorated the house for Christmas - we were all really sad to leave!

My friends and I loved the cottage! Our expectations were absolutely exceeded. When we arrived we all felt as if we were the French country side. The space was so clean and had everything we could possibly need from games and movies to all the kitchen appliances. The property was lush and we loved getting greeting by friendly animals when we arrived. Lacy was very sweet and easy to communicate with. We all agreed we would love to stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The home was well stocked with all of our needs and the games room was an added bonus. Our grandchildren had so much fun. We would definitely stay here again.

Farm house style

BBQ was awesome, enjoyed the old vibe and the scenic suggestions listed on the chalk board. Games room was a hit but my daughter got stung Wasps came in thru the floor boards (open to outside) Main bedroom: needs a better frame or maybe remove box spring?? Bed was way to squeaky, hubby moved to the couch in order to get sleep. The bed would be fine for 1 person though.

amazing place and very lovely decorated; everything was there; the playroom was gorgeous; property manager was extremely helpful, when we had problems with the dryer (even in the late evening), felt like a real home

The games room was fun for everyone, the house was very quaint and unique inside. We loved the cozy feel of this character home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need from appliances, spices, condiments and a grill. The stairs are steep so be careful but very cute upstairs and comfortable beds. We loved our stay at the cottage, everyone enjoyed the games room. We found the heat in the upstairs room a bit hard to handle at times. The property is idea for people who want some peace and quiet. There is no public transport close by so you definitely need your own vehicle.

Quiet setting on beautiful country property Close drive to anywhere. Stairs are very steep which adds to the unique 100 year old home, great stairs for the young. Everything you need was supplied and well stocked. Would have liked curtins on the windows but only to help block the sun early in the mornings. Very clean and the game room was a bounce. Would be back with a younger group...stairs are a challenge for older knees. Hosts made sure everything you might need was supplied! Thank you for the wonderful stay.

We had a great stay at this property, sufficient beds for everyone. The house was very clean and the kitchen was extremely well stocked, especially loved the black stone grill. Things got a bit warm in the upstairs bedrooms where the air conditioning did not reach. Only improvement would be to add screens to the upstairs windows so opening them doesn’t let all the mosquitoes in!

This was our first trip with our baby and we could not have picked a better place!!! We felt so at home, if we come back to the island we will for sure try to stay here again💕

This cottage is in a quiet country location that is close to some of the hikes south of Nanaimo. The property had everything our family needed for our 3 day stay. The kids spent a lot of time in the game room. One caution: upstairs bedrooms have very steep stairs to access them. We really liked the location and the property.
