The gardens are lovely and the location was good. The hotel itself had some nice features and an historical feel. A good size bath. Clean comfy bed
We didn’t like our room (112). We had booked to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary. The room smelt musty (not sure if it was from the bathroom). Our view was a dusty courtyard that looked like it needed a clean and housed the air con units. The fridge didn’t work and no hairdryer in the room. You had to ask for it at reception. The bath had a crack on the bottom and the sides hadn’t been sealed properly. The plug was difficult to get out as it had no chain.
The breakfast buffet was disappointing. The orange juice was watery and tasted like a mix of pineapple. Definitely not fresh orange juice. The coffee machine kept breaking down and was not fully functioning when it was working. The cooked breakfast was odd. The tomatoes were not cooked on my husband’s breakfast just served raw. On mine I asked for scrambled eggs , tomatoes and bacon. The tomatoes had been chopped up and added into the scrambled egg giving it an odd bitter taste. Considering the good reviews for the restaurant (which wasn’t open for lunch or dinner while we were there) we were surprised and disappointed at the breakfast buffet. Also the toaster took ages to brown the bread. This though is not unusual for hotel toasters.
The plates were too small to accommodate the cooked breakfast. The coffee mugs were all odd ones resembling someone’s household crockery not a 4 star hotel. Fruit was limited to one type per day. Yoghurts (one flavour) were kept in tiny personal coolers you get on Amazon not proper catering fridges.
Went to get a coffee /drink late afternoon to be told the bar was closed.
Disappointing and glad we were only there for two days.

El desayuno es muy cutre, hay cuatro cosas y si quieres un zumo de naranja, te lo tienes que hacer tú con un exprimidor viejo, medio roto y sucio

Super great location at the bottom of the mechanical stairs leading up to Old Toledo.
Staff is very friendly and helpful including delivering a hair dryer to our room. Traditional restaurant on premise that has a wonderful courtyard. Hotel is easy to find and parking is closeby.

The hotel grounds were fabulous, and the hotel location was great.
There was a festival the day we arrived and we had a major problem driving into the town and hotel. I think the hotel could have warned us and we could have arrived later? Also when we tried to book a table at the restaurant we were told they were full both upstairs and in the bar but we went and got a table in the bar which was and stayed half empty. The food was very good which was great.

Beautiful Hacienda and lovely courtyard. Room was lovely, clean and bed was good. Breakfast was very good and staff very helpful. Location excellent and easy to walk to all the historical sites. Parking close by.

Breakfast was served in a conservatory type building which in Dec was freezing
There were two members of staff on breakfast duty both appeared too busy to bother with the guests
Continental breakfast was laid out for self service and a menu on the table listed the hot options but not once did the staff approach any of the guests to ask what they wanted, they had to be sought out (both kept disappearing into the distance) and it took at least 15 minutes to arrive once ordered. In my opinion the hot order should have been taken when we arrived and had been seated but instead it took 45 minutes in total.

The atmosphere is really special. If you like history and unusual places to stay at - this is the place to book!
Their breakfast is excellent too.
You can't drop off your luggage if you arrive earlier then their check-in time.

it’s a beautiful old building, with gorgeous gardens, lovely furniture. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive. Set in the old wall of the city the location was stunning.
My only adverse comment … you have to go to reception and ask for a hairdryer which is inconvenient.

Good location with easy access to elevators to old city. Restaurant wasn't open during our stay but recommended restaurant in city was excellent.
We parked on the road nearby but there is a parking garage by the property.

It was historic and had a lot of potential. The breakfast was superb and in a lovely environment. The reception staff were beyond helpful - their friendliness made my stay
I had chosen this hotel for its restaurant and location. I really needed a rest after a long journey and had planned to hole up. I was extremely disappointed to find the restaurant closed without notice, apparently due to a private function. Although you could get up to the city using the ‘mechanical escalators’, these only take you to the rather desolate back end of the place. Getting anywhere with refreshments (that was not closed or shut down) meant exhausting tromping up and down steep inclines in blazing heat. Not recommended for the tired or infirm! Back at the hotel, there was not even a bar so it was an unexpectedly bleak stay. On top of that, the pool - though pretty and photogenic - was minute and should not be described as a ‘swimming pool’.at all. It also needed a good clean, being constantly chock full of guests - plus it was very cold despite the blazing sun. A lot of the garden area and common parts were surprisingly run down and needing maintenance. The wonderful breakfast experience served to provide a tantalising glimpse of what might have been…

I was blown away by this hotel - it was so beautiful. It was located on the edge of the old town so everything was in walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our children particularly loved the swimming pool!

LOCATION WAS JUST OUTSIDE THE OLD CITY WALLS. THE GROUNDS OF THE HOTEL WERE SPECTACULAR. YOU FELT AS THOUGH YOU WERE STAYING IN A COUNTRY VILLA.
STAFF WERE LESS THAN HELPFUL. WE REQUESTED THEY MAKE A DINNER RESERVATION FOR US AT THE HOTEL RESTAURANT. WE WERE TOLD THE RESTAURANT WAS FULLY BOOKED. WE CHCKED WITH THE RESRAURANT AND GOT A RESERVATION IN 10 SECONDS.

The property of this hotel is gorgeous. The restaurant was amazing...I ate out on the courtyard as the sun set. Breakfast was lovely. Pool was lovely. Staff was super friendly and helpful.
My room was a little dark, I guess because it looked out onto an interior courtyard. Looking back I would have booked a room with an exterior window. Room wasn't the cutest, but the rest of the property (restaurant, courtyard, pool) is amazing.
