The location is nice, good breakfast and the staff was super nice.

The room was super cold and the Windows open once I got in. Is always nice to warm up the rooms for the guests to come in. But the AC was working well so it was ok

The location is great and the staff was a great help, from check-in to helping on where to find some local wine to take home. The breakfast was a nice bonus as well.

Estremoz is a lovely place to visit

I only thing was I went down for breakfast at 8 o'clock 9 o'clock and again at 10 I rang the bell and no one answered so I left my key in my room and had breakfast somewhere else breakfast was included with my room

The value for money was amazing. For around 30 Euros my "Single room" had a queen sized bed and plenty of space for me. The building interior is full of marble and has a cool old labarythine feel to it the way older buildings often do.

When I first checked in I had trouble finding light switches in one of the dark hallways and had a minor fall as a result.

Steep staircases

The room was good and clean, location great, but in the room was only ONE free electric slot ;( Also, we we're welcomed by very old lady, who didn't speak any english and didn't know how to find our reservation and it looked like she wont give us the keys (we've already payed through the site), it took some time to clear that out :/

This was a great base for exploring laid-back Estremoz, the streets of which are paved with marble. I was satisfied with everything in my room, which was simply but adequately furnished. It was thoroughly cleaned every day. I slept well in the comfortable bed. Wi-fi connectivity was great at all times. There was always plenty of hot water in the en suite bathroom. It takes ten minutes to walk to the main 'bus station and there are plenty of decent cafes and restaurants nearby, some of them quite up-market. There was always someone on duty in the reception area, as the family who own the guest house seem to live on the premises. Were I to return to Estremoz, I would certainly consider staying at the RMJ again.

I recommend that the shower head is replaced - or thoroughly cleaned.

Interne did'nt work

A reasonably-priced option to consider if staying in Estremoz, a handsome town in the Alentejo region. Bedroom and private bathroom were clean and comfortable and a/c worked well. Breakfast is simple but was nice: coffee etc, juice, fresh bread roll, sliced cheese and ham, jam, and local cookies. On-street parking (non-metered) in the adjacent streets.

Breakfast was included in room rate. Was told breakfast served from 8 to 9:30 a.m. in the canteen. But next morning canteen and all doors locked. No person or staff in reception. It was holiday and I couldn't found any place to eat. I had to leave at 10 a.m. still no staff turn up.

A simple breakfast with fresh bread is included. The hotel is in the heart of the old city. The free WiFi is good and fast.

The staircases, the corridors and the doors are extremely small. If you're 1.80m or more than you have to walk bended. The staircase is so narrow and steep that you can carry only a small luggage with you. There are no parking in the vicinity. The room smelled heavily of smoke.
