Great home for our families to celebrate our annual Destination Thanksgiving. Most beautiful spring fed river in Florida. Wildlife galore. Otters and abundance of bird life. Kayaking on the peaceful Rainbow Springs River.

The place is a little quirky. First of all we were informed that the back door lock was broken so to access the house from the river you had to go through the bathroom. Weird and inconvenient. Freezing cold the first night with A/C set at 75, turned the thermostat to 80 and that seemed to be about right. House was limited in the way of kitchen utensils. Basically just mixed matched stuff from the thrift store. Pots and pans with burnt residue from previous guests. We never cooked a single meal in our stay. Disappointing. Other properties we rented in the past were well stocked that included spices a few condiments in the fridge and in the pantry with a policy of if you use something and finish it, replace it. That was nice. This place had nothing. Nothing in the kitchen, no extra blankets, no dressers an any of the bedrooms, bare bones!! I will say the neighbors were very nice folks, allowing us to borrow a few things during our stay that should have been there when we arrived.

Our family ranging from grandparents to kids. loved this vacation rental. It’s in a great location on the river where you can tube down in 1.5 hrs and exit at the bridge, you’re not stuck on the river for hours. But you also have the option of tubing from north down to the house if you wanted to tube longer. We loved the kayak and canoe and fished from the dock during the afternoons. We had such a great time we want to make it an annual thing. The house has everything you need. The host was great communicating, and we loved our welcome s’more kit. Of note a previous review mentioned the neighbor across the river blaring music all day. They did not play it the first day. However they did play it all day long 8am-9pm every other day. We didn’t mind it and enjoyed the choice of music but if you’re looking for a quite location this would not be it.

We've stayed at this rental twice now. The location is fantastic. However, the home needs a lot of TLC. The cleanliness this time around was very disappointing. The well needs a filter or water softener. We could barely shower or brush teeth b/c the water literally smelled and tasted like iron. We literally used water bottles the entire trip to clean / brush teeth. The towels were poorly cleaned. In fact all of the linens, beds, etc. need an entire re haul and update. I understand the limit of people staying as to not overhaul the septic; however, having two cameras on property watching your every move is uncomfortable and not what we want in a stay that is suppose to be relaxing. We will sadly not stay here again unless items above are updated and addressed.

Donna has a great property on Rainbow River that allows a larger group to comfortably enjoy themselves either inside or outside. Donna puts in a lot of effort to make your stay comfortable. We enjoyed just tying our floats to the dock and relaxing in the water as well as cutting lose and floating down to the end which is about 2 hours total float time to the takeout right beyond the bridge. Its only a few miles to drive into Dunnellon if you need to get food and supplies. Highly recommend.

My family enjoyed our stay on Rainbow River. The water is crystal clear. We enjoyed floating down in tubes, kayaking, and observing wildlife. The home was comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at nearby restaurants. We had a great time, relaxing by the river with family.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Beautiful access to the river, house was clean and just as advertised. Donna was amazing with responding to any questions or concerns. Would definitely stay here again.

This was out 5th stay at this property over a 4 year period. It is the most fun and unique river house experience. It is well stocked for 10 people in kitchen supplies, towels and water toys! The location on the river is amazing. We spend every minute we can on the gorgeous river. This year we saw barred owls, otters, humming birds, woodpeckers, hawks, all sorts of water fowl, baby ducklings, turtles, fish and even fireflies! This has become an annual family tradition that our children look forward to every year and ask when are coming back. This is a great place for all ages.

Place was great! Kids had a really fun time.

Our group ranged from 6 to10 people. There was more than enough space. The beds were comfy. The kitchen well stocked with all you need. The property was in the perfect spot. Swim off the dock or float 2 hours and get out. The host was very kind and always responded quickly. Already looking forward to next year!

This house is in the most beautiful location upon the Rainbow River! Only a few miles from the town, it felt very remote and peaceful. My favorite spot was beside the river near the fire pit watching the boats float by. Any issues we had were dealt with by the property manager. She was quick to respond and resolve our issues. We would consider staying here again!

We really enjoyed the time there. River is beautiful and also the location is amazing. My only two things is that is not enough towels for people and the music cross the river is super loud all day!!!! Otherwise everything was good!!

Loved the property! We were able to park a vehicle about 2 miles down the road at a launch park. We were able to walk right into the water from the property and enjoy a 2 hour tube down the river to where we parked. The kids had a blast just splashing around in the water right off the dock of the property. The property manager even left us supplies for smores! My only issue was the discomfort of the beds but it would not keep me from staying there again. Our family and friends had a blast!

We met our adult son and his family here for a visit. We were delayed in the air and the owner was so thoughtful and let my son know the check in information. The house has 4 bedrooms so even the 2 grandchildren had their own bedrooms which they loved. The house has a dock and fire pit area we all enjoyed. My son brought kayaks but the house also had 2 available. For some odd reason, the neighbors across the river had loud music going daily. Didn’t see any party and no rhythm or reason and rarely saw anyone outside. That was a down side but hopefully it’s not a regular thing. I would also suggest bringing your own pillows.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Bring your own towels and pillows is my only suggestion. The riverfront view is great.

I stayed at the house with 7 other people and had more than enough space! The property is beautiful and so close to springs and great restaurants. The property manager is very sweet and makes sure that you feel comfortable and have everything you need. I cannot recommend this property enough!

Very cute, clean, comfy, unique stay perfectly located on the river! Each room has its own tv, there is plenty of room for parking, owner is very friendly and accommodating, and it’s a great location! Definitely would recommend, hopefully will find time to stay again in the future!

This house is super fun for a big group. The backyard is fantastic and the air conditioning works like a champ. the electrical needs to be updated, so bring two prong chargers or 3 prong converters. (This should be updated in 2023 at some point). Donna is awesome and was there with any issues we had. Also, you can have instacart delivered within the hour.

This House is not as advertised. The walls for each room do not go to ceiling, so every noise in the house echos. There is unlisted and unposted surveillance cameras watching you, invading your privacy. We covered them which started a significant quarrel between the pm and us. Several items were broken upon arrival and I fixed most of them, Donna charged us for the remainder. Claimed since we covered the cameras, and there was no way to disprove it, then it was on us. Every window, screen, and overhang is dirty and full of cobwebs. The linens are thin, the towels are thin, the pillows suck. This place is an all around dump. Rainbow River is Awesome, and there are no places to rent for group families, so that’s all it’s got. I didn’t want to leave a review at all but the PM took our whole deposit over covering her illegal cameras. So here’s the review. Stay some where else.

There were nine of us and plenty of room for everyone. Perfect location.

Once again our 4th year at this home and it is just what our family needs…river fun and relaxation! The refreshed kitchen and dishwasher is a great plus! Looking forward to our 5th time next summer!

The home was perfect for our two families to share. Kids, teens and adults all enjoyed the views, the host left s’mores. We tubed, fished off the dock, used the canoes and kayaks, horseshoes and more! We would love to go back!

Even though it rained the majority of our stay, we did get to enjoy kayaking and fishing the beautiful Rainbow River. The property was a river house. It gave adequate accommodations and had plenty of room for the 7 of us. We enjoyed our stay and will return!
