The place was spotless clean and beatiful views of the hills and wildlife nearby. The host was amazing, going above and beyond to insure we had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend this one.

If you've read through the reviews, this one will not be much different. The h osts are very accomodating and friendly. Anything you need, they will make sure you have it. Great location visiting the Black Hills and all of the attractions (Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Windcave, etc.)

This was a perfect place for our annual sisters trip. It’s not only a convenient location to all there is to see in the area, but a beautiful location. The house is supplied with all the amenities a person could want. And Sherlee and Jesse were extremely helpful.

We loved staying in this VRBO! Great location between Hill City and Keystone. Property was very clean and pleasant. Whitetail deer strolled through the property every morning and evening. A large group of turkeys came through one afternoon as well. We highly recommend this property! The only thing we would recommend is no trailers longer than 28 foot. Driveway is steep and parking is a little tight.

Home was perfectly clean and just as advertised. Quiet location with deer and the steam train running nearby. Close to all the important highlights but really nice to get away and relax. Highly recommend. Hosts are friendly and courteous.

Shirlee and Jesse are amazing-they were communicative throughout the whole process and once we met them in person we knew we’d picked the perfect place! They made us feel welcome from the start. Jesse even offered to put my car into his garage if a hailstorm came through! Their property is gorgeous-you have a view of the hills and it’s secluded enough to feel like you have really gotten away, but close enough to town and many of the attractions on our list. The basement apartment is decorated so well-a mix of modern with a hint of nostalgia. It’s clean and is stocked with everything you could need for your stay. We were very comfortable staying there and will look them up again for any future trips!

We had 2 couples, and the house was perfect. Beautifully decorated, plenty of linens, clean, deer in the yard, Hill City 1880 Train passing by a few times a day. Sherlee and Jesse were exceptional hosts. Very helpful, informative, and so, so friendly! I would recommend this house to anyone traveling in the Custer, Badlands, Black Hills area. I hope we get back there soon. Would definitely stay there again.

Great greeting with owners. We saw deer right out our windows. This is a great location close to all great places to see nature. Filled with wonderful antiques. We also enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking.

We stay at three to four vbro properties a year. The key to a great stay is the owners. In this case, Sherlee and Jesse are A plus. If I lived in Hill City,, we’d want them neighbors. Fantastic view, excellent kitchen and living area. Wish we had a TV as nice as theirs. Close to all Black Hills attractions. We were a party of 2 but perfect for 2 couples. Go to the Black Hills! May or late Sept. will be less busy.

Sherlee was right when she said they were in the country and in the middle of the tourist attractions. Hosts were very friendly, loved being able to chat & get to know them. Easy drive to attractions, home comfortable and necessities provided! Would definitely book again

The house was spectacular, especially the living/dining/kitchen areas. The back yard was small, but serene with beautiful views of the woods and a bit of the distant mountains - gorgeous sunrise. House was very well stocked & each bedroom had its own full bath and a half bath in the entry was very convenient. Beds were comfy - only minor complaint was the softness of all the pillows - would be nice to have some firmer choices. Though it is in a beautiful valley, it is a somewhat long drive to either the Tetons or Yellowstone - but the comfort of this house makes the drive worth it!

Great property, clean and stocked with everything we needed. Hosts were great, even helping us drag things in. Strongly recommended.

Sherlee and Jesse made our five day visit to the Black Hills special. Wonderful stay, and great location for touring one of the prettiest places in the country. House was incredible with views that wouldn’t quit. Hope we can return someday.

Our stay was very nice and relaxing. Beautiful landscaping outside and great views. Lots of room inside the home for the four of us. Very clean. We truly enjoyed our time.

We had everything we could have wanted to make a home. It was beautiful,peaceful, and the owners were fantastic. also abundance of wild life in the area.

The view from the property is so beautiful. The place was very clean. I did wish they had a keurig coffee machine otherwise everything was provided. Nice place, we really enjoyed it.

Spacious and comfortable. Cool even in late June. Had to use the furnace a few times, but very comfortable. Hosts live upstairs and are very nice folks, responsive to any need we had. Would definitely stay there again

We enjoyed our short time at this home. It was well equipped and offered a very relaxed setting.

The dwelling space is comfortable and homey. Deer wander near (and on) the property in the mornings and evenings. All the fun spots in and around Mt. Rushmore are close by. The owners are very nice people who make the stay very enjoyable. We will go here again the next time we visit the area.

If you are looking for the perfect gathering place for your family surrounded by the beauty the Black Hills offers, THIS IS THE PLACE! First of all, Sherlee & Jesse were the perfect hosts. We were greeted by them as soon as we got out of our car and given the tour of our accommodations. They made it very clear that we were to come knock on their door if there was anything we needed. My husband drove his motorcycle there and was concerned about the weather. Jesse even made room in his garage for the Harley to put our minds at ease! We all felt right at home from the moment we arrived. They have provided everything needed for a carefree, relaxing stay.....we didn't want to leave. The accommodations are very homey and spotless. After a long day of touring the area, you can come home to a relaxing living room and put your feet up in the recliners. Open up the sliding glass door in the morning to the birds singing and bring your coffee outside to one of many sitting areas and enjoy the surrounding beauty. Heaven on earth.....thank you Sherlee & Jesse for opening up your home to us and making our family reunion one we'll never forget.

This is a walk-out basement rental unit with hosts living on main floor above you. The hosts are extremely nice and helpful. PROs: Location in the Black Hills is great for exploring both northern and southern hills. The view from the unit is beautiful (note that the picture of the deck is the owners, not part of the rental space). Mattresses were comfortable. Gas heater and bedroom floor units kept the unit comfy. Didn’t appear there was a/c, which could be an issue if you’re visiting in hotter summer months, I’m not sure. Plenty of hot water. Appliances worked well. Unit was well stocked with most everything you’d need. CONs: We failed to recognize from the photos just how many knick-knacks and wall hangings are on display (and packed in cupboards, in the yard. etc) and it felt visually tiring to us. We needed to move some of these things around in order to have a place to set our things. It’s also quite dark in the unit due to dark paint colors and furniture. These things may not bother some people but we didn’t find that very restful or inviting/fresh feeling. There was a slight musty odor in the unit as a whole and a bad smell in the laundry/storage room. We thorough enjoyed our time in the Black Hills as always, and enjoyed aspects of this rental though it could use a little freshening up. The hosts are as nice as they come.
