Everything related to the house went well. The only problem we had was with the tram. There was miscommunication and the tram picked as up almost 3 hours later than planned.

For our family of 5, this house was perfect. My 14 year old enjoyed having the upstairs to himself and my girls (11 & 9) enjoyed the bedroom tucked away in the back part of the house along with their own bathroom. The master suite was great for me and my husband. The kitchen was well stocked and even had a crock pot, which we used for a roast! The house was well stocked with linens and games for the family. We had plenty of tv’s and sitting areas to spread out and relax. We would certainly stay here again. For a 3 night 4 day stay, this house was perfect.

Our experience at The Great Escape was everything we had hoped for and then some. The house was exceptionally clean, and the set up was perfect for our family of 5 (perfectly suited for 3 small children with the high chair, pack n play, toys, etc). As soon as the dates become available, we will be booking this house again for next year!

Nice location, very clean and spacious

House is roomy and there is a neighborhood pool. Front yard is overgrown so hard to read the address and kitchen is tiny, beds are full not queen size,but other than that great.

I have stayed on BHI before - just loved this property though and the location. Beautiful home, quiet neighborhood. Lovely all-around experience.

The size of this cottage was perfect for our family. The house was stocked with lots of extras that made our stay comfortable. The beach towels, chairs, sand toys and cooler made our times at the beach a hit. The golf carts and bikes were a fun way to get around the island. We would recommend to anyone!

We loved our first trip to Bald Head and our long weekend at The Great Escape. The setting was very peaceful and we liked that the neighborhood had a pool. The house was so nice and bright with plenty of room, and we hope to return with more of our family in the future. One suggestion would be to have a lamp or two to use on the screened porch because there is no overhead light and it was a little dark. Also, there wasn't dishwasher or laundry detergent when we arrived, but a quick call to the property folks resolved that easily. Another problem was that the unit was supposed to have a hairdryer, but there was none to be found. The property folks offered to bring one early Monday morning, but that was the day of our check out. I was able to borrow one from a friend who is a resident on the island -- it was inconvenient (and a "hat day" for sure!) But overall, we loved the Great Escape!

Great house! Was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. Property management company was very responsive and helpful. Quick ride to the beach, marina and Bald Head Island Club. This was our first trip to the island with small children and we had a great time!

We would stay at this location again. It was perfect for our family with all amenities included. We also enjoyed using the neighborhood pool.

The house is super cute and has great windows and lighting. The kitchen was well-stocked and easy to cook in, though small. It was a great house!

We had a great visit and the property was wonderful. Bikes were in great condition and we really enjoyed them. Layout was great--plenty of space for all, and location was central to everything. Pool in the neighborhood was a nice bonus too. We'll be back!

Perfect space for 4 adults and two kids! The house has a wonderful layout that allows for multiple relaxing options and numerous windows to let in the light and see the glorious flora and fauna all around. Well outfitted kitchen and comfy decor. Handmade soaps are a lovely touch in the bathrooms. Two golf carts for plenty of sightseeing.

This home was excellent to stay in. We were very pleased with the space. My favorite spot was the back sitting room- reading since it was chilly in January at night. One downside was the kitchen was extremely small but very well equipped and organized. Only one person could essentially be in the kitchen.

We had a wonderful stay on Ibis Roost. We were 3 families with 4 children under 2 and found the house a perfect size. Well equipped with one high chair and a pack n play. Not too many hazards to baby proof for the girls. Once we got the golf cart situation worked out (the large cart wasn’t charging properly but the property manager promptly sent a new cart and solved the issue) it was a lovely 5-7 min cart ride to beach access. 5 min to the grocery store (be advised they have special senior shopping hours that don’t align with their google hours). 12-15 mins to Jules. Pros: The house was very clean and well stocked! The rooms were spacious and also well stocked with extra pillows and blankets. The kitchen was also full of cooking utensils, serving dishes, and random spices. Tons of dining space, indoor and outdoor. Lovely screened in porch. Lots of beach chairs and towels available to borrow. Cons: the kitchen is REALLY small. Like, two people is a crowd type of small. And if you want to be in the dishwasher and the fridge at the same time, good luck... it’s not happening. But honestly, that was not a deal breaker, just a little inefficient.

Awesome spot!! Only issue was one of the golf carts wouldn’t stay charged (big one), but otherwise it was absolutely perfect!

We loved our stay at this airy, comfortable home. It was well appointed, clean and spacious. We spent lots of fun time on the screened in porch. The host was quite responsive to a question we had. Our only quibble was that the shower pressure could have been better but there are quirks in every home and this would not at all deter us from our next visit!
