Overall a great house for a large groups. The rooms are big and plenty of places for sleeping. We love the fact that they have a huge table that can fit all of us so we don’t have to be separated. And love that the garage is a huge play area. Communication with Eugene was also quick and efficient.

We came with 5 families for an extended family vacation, and stayed for 3 days, 2 nights. We were originally booked somewhere else, but got cancelled day of! I reached out to the host, and he was able to arrange last-minute booking for us. He even let us stay late on the last day, which was very helpful! We didn't even have to leave the house. It was spacious, comfortable, beautiful, and the grounds were amazing. The creek is beautiful, and there was snow on the hill in the back - kids had a great time sledding down it! Hot tub was great, and we "explored" the woods around and the creek. Many beautiful porches. Amazing fireplace and firepit. We would love to return in the summer!

I have no complaints about my stay at this cabin. I enjoyed every minute here and would do it again in another year

This is my new favorite place to stay in the Poconos! It’s very hard to find a house that will have all the attractions at one place. This one has it all! Huge beautifully decorated house with amazing salt water pool, game room with all the games, creek on the back with crystal clear water, fire pit, lots of comfortable beds, big dinning table that can fit my entire family and on the top of that, you have super responsive host, who answers your questions immediately. Eugene, thank you very much! It was unbelievable experience!

We chose this property for our annual family vacation and it did not disappoint! The grounds are just beautiful, with ample space for the kids to run around and play. We all enjoyed gathering at the stream, especially in the early morning. The kids (and adults) loved the daily visits of the deer! We made good use of the fire pit and hot tub at night and the beautiful pool by day. The house itself was beautiful with so much room for the kids to play and for the adults to gather all together for meals, conversations and games, while also providing enough space for ‘alone time’ when needed, which was important for our group of 12 adults and 7 children. Adults and kids made good use of the game room. We especially loved the huge covered decks that allowed us to sit in sun or shade and which also provided shelter enabling us to sit outside even on the one rainy day we had. The 2 picnic tables on the back deck were perfect for outdoor meals and for kids craft projects! Eugene was a great host, and amazingly quick to respond to our questions and very minor requests. We were all very happy with our week at this property!

Nice setting with large house and pool, but... maintenance of indoor equipment lacking (stove downright dangerous, leaking shower doors, several of towels that were provided still smelled of body odor). They owers also scheduled the pesticide sprayer, the lawn maintenance group, and the propane service on three consecutive days, interfering with our use of the deck. Our family gets together this same week every year and we have had a problem or two at other rentals in the past, but not this many annoyances in any one place.

We had a lovely time with our extended in this beautiful home, taking advantage of all of the amenities from the hot tub to the pool and the game room to the porches! Great proximity to hiking trails, waterfalls and shopping areas. Could use a tiny bit of maintenance, but nothing that harmed our stay! Thank you!

Property is great for a large family get together. Our family did enjoy it. Wish there were more bathrooms. However, there were a few shortcomings. Swimming pool did not have direct door from the house. Hot tub was on the opposite side. There were enough beds but the foam mattresses are completely worn out. Some closet doors were not operational. Our bedroom window shade was broken. Laundry door was not operational. Dishwasher door handle was broken but got fixed by the maintenance guy. Overall, the house needs some maintenance. It should not be rented without fixing all the items. A renter should not have to make a call as soon as he/she comes to the house.

We had a great stay! We were 14 adults and 6 kids age 3 and under and this place was perfect for us for the week. The pool was lovely and got afternoon shade. The stream was clean and rocky and the kids and dogs loved playing in it. Fire pit was a big hit. The deck also got a lot of use for meals, cornhole, disney hits dance parties, and toddler "hot laps." Plenty of indoor play space when it rained. Nice that the stairs could be closed off from the main living/ dining area with a door to prevent little wanderers. Also had several bonus spaces for people to take phone calls or do bed time routines if needed.

The property is beautiful, it had everything we wanted and needed. The grandkids loved the pool and the game room.we hope to rent it next year too.

House was perfect size & location for our family holiday. Great setting, room for all to have their own space. Owner was very communicative & helpful.

This is a beautiful home. We filled every bed in the house and never felt crowded. The house offered plenty of public spaces for our family of all ages to gather in. The game room was a big hit for the kids (big & little). The living room had plenty of space to watch and celebrate the Eagles win. Go Birds! We brought sleds and the little ones enjoyed the slope along the side and back of the house.

Great social space that hosted everyone comfortably.east trash drop off and all the linens were in place. Not the most comfortable beds so if that is a concern I would bring a topper.

The house is amazing for hosting a large group for a nice getaway and our host was very communicative and accommodating. We couldn’t ask for a better stay!

Place is easy to get to and in the middle of a big park with hiking trails. The game room is in a huge double garage which is nice and we suggest future vacationers to use this to avoid waking up kids sleeping in the main area. There is a really cute creek and backyard in the back.

We planned a family vacation with the idea that we wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of our daily routines and the log mansion provided that and then some! Having 2 bedrooms and a full bath on the first floor met the needs of the older guests with some limited mobility while the bedrooms/baths in the upper and lower levels provided more than enough space and privacy for all. The game room, pool, hot tub, fire pit, back yard and daily visits by families of deer kept us entertained all week!! Would recommend to anyone searching for a relaxing getaway.

Over 20 of us gathered from all over the country for a semi-annual family reunion. The log mansion was a perfect gathering place with its big kitchen and long dining room table, pool, and hot tub. The older teens played golf nearby while the younger children were entranced by the deer at the creek. Eugene was very responsive when we had a question or need.

A clean huge home that served our large group perfectly. AC, smart tvs, pool, hot tub, game room... Highly recommended!

We had a very nice family reunion at Thornhurst. The house is huge and the pool was wonderful! Great house for the whole gang- lots of beds and bunk beds. You can sip your coffee in the morning on the wrap around deck and watch the deer. We had a problem with the stove and Eugene had it fixed that day- very responsive.

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property! The house was so spacious and clean. Perfect for our huge group of 19 people. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful place! We had a large extended family reunion here, and it was perfect. Just the right amount of beds and space. The property manager was extremely responsive with a couple of things that happen, but they were minor. Highly recommend. The host is very responsive. Loved the pool and the creek and the beauty of the area.

Beautiful property, main complaint with our large group of 26 was the hot water system doesn’t seem capable of servicing such a large house so many lukewarm/cold showers. Also barely enough bathrooms (4) for so many bedrooms. We had a winter stay so weren’t able to utilize the pool and hot tub but it looked appealing. Overall, a good stay with the exception of the bathroom/hot water issue.

We had 5 families with kids and the house was perfect!! Already looking to book for next year. Secluded but not too far away. Loved the property!

I really enjoyed my stay the house was great and everything was super clean and Eugene was great. The whole process was super easy and I I would definitely recommend this place
