Great house, beautiful vista view

The house was great, size was perfect. It was a 30 minute drive to shopping, dining, grocery, etc. which would have been okay if the view was better. We looked out from the deck to the neighbors house. No clear view of mountains.

Wonderful place to stay. Our family will definitely be back.

We just finished up our one week stay in the Gathering Place! We loved the location of the cabin, the games, and the hot tub. The cabin was fairly well stocked with cooking supplies. The office also had an assortment of groceries in case you found yourself in a pinch. They also had a pack n play and high chair available for my 6 month old which was a big help! The only complaint I have was that the downstairs of the cabin could have used some cleaning. The carpet didn’t feel super clean (what appeared to be animal hair was on the floor downstairs) and neither did the bathrooms (there was hair in the shower when we got there). The baseboards and walls also could have used a good scrubbing. Overall, we had a GREAT stay!

Cabin was perfect for our vacation. Everything was clean and we enjoyed our stay there.

My partner and I wanted to get away for a long weekend with our dog and we are so happy we found this location! The house was great - stocked kitchen with lots of utensils, plates, cups, etc., comfortable bed, and plenty of room. The outside spaces were awesome. The screened in porch was excellent, as was the propane grill (when we found out it was propane instead of charcoal, we completely changed our meal plans for the week). The pool table and hot tub were also a great time. If we had brought our three kids, it would have been plenty of room as well. It is a relatively close drive to stores (once you get down the mountain, the bigger town for shopping is about 15 minutes away), as well as various hiking locations. Can't wait to come back with family!

This cabin was great for our family of six there are three bedrooms and two roll away beds ( although no where to really put the roll away beds easilly we had to set up around the pool table) but it worked out. We had adult children with us so they wanted their own beds so the younger children used the roll aways. The beds are comfortable and there is a bathroom for each bedroom which is nice. The kitchen was well stocked we made all our meals there and the table was big enough to seat us all. We could not sign into our netflix on the TV( it is not a smart TV ) so that limited options for movies but we did find something with what they had. The hot tub was great, make sure you read the instructions and have it on St for standard mode so it heats up. The grill was awesome to have and we loved sitting on the deck looking at the beautiful view. The pool is the neighborhood over so you do have to drive to it, not far though. The location is close to Burnside Marina and we rented a boat for the day, it was great! Would definitely stay here again!

Loved the location. The kitchen was stocked very well with every dish/utensil you could need and there were basic seasonings there too. We enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. We drove to one of the pools one night and enjoyed it as well.

We totally enjoyed our 5 day vacation. The cabin has nice size 3 bedrooms/baths. The place is clean, hot tub could be a little cleaner. Hiked to area waterfalls. Favorites Dogslaughter falls and Yahoo falls/arch

Lake Cumberland resort staff was extremely friendly! The cabin was very clean. Would definitely stay again!

The cabin was perfect for our family. Linens were not clean or at least have been left on the bed for a long time as we had to wash all linens before using. They had a very odd smell to them. The bathroom rugs were also dirty and gave off a musty smell and the toilet bowl brush was extremely dirty which made the bathroom smell pretty awful. Aside from that the cabin was great.

Met my brothers and sisters for the weekend to enjoy some time with each other. The house very clean and large enough to accommodate all of us easily. Very nice property and will definitely be staying again. Thank you!

We’d never been to the area before and this was the perfect spot to enjoy amazing hikes and — of course — Cumberland Falls. Easy booking, simple check-in, and great communication. Hope to return again!

Wonderful time. It was my daughter and I my special needs son and her special needs son which are both young adults we had a wonderful time the boys really enjoyed the fire pit and A karaoke breakout sing-along was a great experience from both. We took a day trip down to Cumberland Falls lots of pics you’re taking we plan to return next summer. Thank you for sharing your home.

I personally live in Southern California and have never been to KY, therefore I did not know what to expect of the area or the house. Let's just say I wish I could buy the place. The entire process, from reserving the house, to making the payments, to check in and to check out was so easy and effortless. The team did a great job. The house provided all the essentials, literally all we did was bring the food. I decided to book this trip as I discovered my brothers and sister in-laws have never had a family vacation. They live in Ohio, so I thought it would be easy for them to join. We all wish we had another night. So much to see and do on the property. Awesome time and great memories.

The cabin is located in a great location, tucked inside the hills of Burnside. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities one could need for a weekend trip. The only reason I gave the review 4 stars is due to the location of the firepit. The path from the cabin to the firepit is on a hillside and there is very little leveled out area around the firepit (for chair placement).

The property was perfectly maintained. The house was clean beyond our expectations and was well-equipped throughout. The kitchen had everything we could have possibly needed - best I've seen in my vacation stays. The layout was great for my family of adult children. Although there is a house directly across the road, this property is secluded - more so than it appears online - but easily accessible. Nearly no vehicle traffic. The check-in/out process was simple and seamless. We appreciate the great vacation opportunity!

Great location and view. House was really nice.

This was our second girlfriend trip. We had so much! Loved the cabin and location. Our neighbors were very nice. The cabin was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. We ate a couple meals at the cabin, so that was nice. I slept on one of the rollout beds. It was very comfortable. We enjoyed the jacuzzi too. It was very relaxing. My friend and I went to one of the pools and enjoyed the beautiful day. Of course, I have to mention the view! It was so calming to hear the birds chirping in morning and see the beautiful sky :)

Dianne and stephen were very nice and accommodating. The house was clean and as advertised. We enjoyed so much needed getaway time with the family. Thank you for making this a great vacation.

Very clean. There was a little bit of a weird smell in the downstairs upon arriving, but it went away. But other than that it was very very clean. It was well stocked and had very beautiful views from the decks. We loved the hot tub and all the games they provided.

We were able to have a very wonderful long Easter weekend with all of our kids. It had enough space for our teenagers to spread out and had plenty for them to do. The place was very clean and cozy and had everything we needed. We enjoyed a couple hikes in the area. And saw the Cumberland Falls. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing vacation. Short drive to some beautiful hikes and sites. Recommend seeing the Natural Arch and Cumberland Falls. Yahoo Fall was by far the family favorite!
