Everything was great!

The Summer Wind house was perfect for our family vacation with 6 adults and 2 kids. House was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Views were amazing! Tons of beach chairs and toys. 2 outdoor showers were nice! Golf carts worked great. We loved our stay and will be back!

Bald Head Island us really like no other place we’ve been. Summer Wind is an amazing house situated right on the beach at South Beach! We love the house, with an open transitional space. Each bedroom is your own little cocoon with private bath! And the have everything you could possibly need! Two carts, chairs, umbrellas, wiffle ball! We love this house!

We couldn’t have asked for a nicer experience. Owners are very responsive to any question/needs. Home is well equipped, lots of open space, and wonderful location.

We loved the house and all the amenities, and the weather was perfect. My one complaint was the quality of the bicycles. It would be nice after paying a premium for the house if they had provided bicycles free of rust and with tires that would hold air. A small thing, I know, but we were forced to use the carts to go anywhere. I'd rent the house again however.

Perfectly situated older home, very nicely remodeled and re-appointed interior with updated kitchen, 3 master bed/baths and a bunkroom for kids. Deck looks out over South Beach, with a semi-private direct walkway to the beach. Very near the Bald Head Island Club. One of the golf carts is a nearly brand new six-seater and wonderful. Easy access, easy in and out. Host very responsive by text. Overall pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful week at Summer Wind in Bald Head Island. The home we stayed at was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Great to sit on the porch and look out on the beach. Wonderful daily walks with our dog up and down the beach. The week flew by! itrip personnel were very responsive with all questions and coordination of the rental. Will definitely do this again.

Beautiful home. Only 2 of us this time but could imagine this would be a great house for large group. Wide open kitchen, dining, living area with sliders out to deck. Steps to ocean. BHI club close by. Can't wait to go back!

We had a great few days at BHI staying at Summer Wind. There were four bedrooms and four full baths along with a large kitchen and living room area. Both golf carts worked great; we especially liked the 6 person golf cart because our family of 3 could all face forward. We got to see sunrises from the front porch, sunsets from the back porch, and you can see and hear the waves from the house. We were close enough to walk to the BHI club and which had three pools, three restaurants, snack bar, fitness center, playground, tennis courts, and golf store. If you want to play crochet at the club you need to wear all white--now we know for next time. The house is pet friendly but it didn't have a dog smell and our allergies didn't flare up. The house is in great condition, but the back deck could use some attention; make sure your little ones wear shoes because some of the boards are popped up.

A much needed getaway! The house had the most beautiful view of the sand dunes and ocean.

The location can't be beat, short tram ride from the ferry and directly on the ocean! House was baby friendly for our 9 month old with baby gates, pack and play and high chair. Plenty of beach gear to choose from as well. Can't wait for our next getaway to BHI.

The oceanfront property is older, but has had nice upgrades to the kitchen and baths. All systems worked well and close to stores. Only improvement to be made would be screens to the sliding glass doors to take advantage of the cool Fall weather. Management was attentive throughout the process and provided contact info if we needed something during our stay.

Rent was easy. Home needs more work property needs to be cleaned up. BBQ was not clean from last rental. Kitchen sink loose. Needs to be tightened. On beach prop great location Restaurants on bald island very scarce closes too early

Very clean, well-equipped spacious home with gorgeous direct unobstructed ocean views. Highly recommend.

This is my second stay at this property. I loved it before but it's even better now! Updated floors add a great modern vibe. There are also new items in the kitchen that took our stay to the next level. I love the new outdoor furniture, it made mornings and days on the deck very enjoyable. We had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun get away. I hope to come back for another stay soon!

This property had everything we needed and more. iTrip had excellent customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this property and we look forward to staying here again.

This house has a fantastic view. The layout is great too and the furniture is generally nice. The kitchen is newly renovated. Access to the beach is right there. Lots to love. Do be aware of the following: the twin beds are short and really more for kids so only plan on light/short adults to sleep there. The golf carts had issues. One was missing the back seat and that same cart got a flat tire. Upon inspection it was clear that an old spare tire had been put on it and just left there. The breakdown was predictable and avoidable. Communication around the fix was slow, with promises to keep us posted, but then nothing. It was not fixed in the last three days were were there so we had to do without. Mind you those were news years so clearly fewer people were working. No compensation or help was offered. The Kitchen is poorly stocked. There are 5 mugs so if you are more people and want coffee in the morning, bring more mugs. Normal sized forks were in short supply, only some strange-looking three pronged forks were plentiful. There was no baking sheet. The owner said we could buy one which we did, but the hardware store only had a small one, so we had to abandon making pizzas. Lots of pots and pans with lots of lids that don't actually go with those pots or pans. Sort of your classical lets dump various kitchen stuff in the kitchen and let people figure it out. Otherwise, the house was great. the location, cleanliness and layout in general made up for it and we enjoyed the many puzzles at the house.

We stayed at the house for a family fishing trip. The house had everything we needed with beautiful ocean views and direct access to beach. The golf carts were nice and in good shape. We will definitely book again next year.

My family had a great end of summer vacation at Summer Wynd, beach house. The view is spectacular on this end of the island. We had no idea that you could get a sunset on BHI!!! The beach house was well equipped and very comfortable. The bedrooms were all very spacious! We called or text Madison at itrips vacations and she was always quick to respond

We’ve been coming to BHI for years and have never stayed in a place this poorly maintained. To begin, the golf carts were very old and rusted. The charger stopped working for the larger golf cart very randomly. Also the back seat on the larger golf cart completely detached while parked at the Point/beach from wind. It was already damaged and seemed to be coming off from rust/wear and tear but didn’t expect wind to take it completely off. While we enjoyed our stay, I do feel like the house needs a lot of work and some simple repairs/updates could've made our stay much more enjoyable - most of the interior doors don't lock and one of them wouldn't latch closed which was an issue as we have small children, the pack n play provided had what appeared to be a large brown urine stain on the side - maybe from a dog? - it smelled horrible and we ended up having to get a rental last minute which was very stressful, the beach chairs are old and rusted and the umbrella does not stay in the sand - wind kept blowing it away, etc., the ceiling fan in one of the rooms would just stop spinning and had to be manually pushed to get going, the mattress pads had blood stains on them which I noticed while stripping before leaving (we just changed and dressed babies on the bed under a pad - this particular bed was never used by us), comforters had large brown stains, a random dirty sock was left under our bed, the washer had mold around the rubber inside and had an odor.... I did mention a thing or two to the maintenance guy and he seemed aware of the issues with no intent to repair them. These things did upset us as the week went on and made it a difficult stay with small children. For the amount of money we paid, We would've liked to see more updated appliances, clean and safe baby gear (if being offered) and newer sturdy beach equipment at the very least. Anyway, again, we enjoyed our stay but these things were disappointing. Upon leaving I texted my concerns to the rental agency with no response (otherwise they had responded to me in a timely manner throughout the week). We liked being beachfront but honestly, I think we would've preferred to be a few rows back for the same cost, in a home that's better taken care of. I was confused by some of the positive reviews but realized once we left that they offer an Amazon gift card to people who leave reviews. Because of this incentive, I’m sure people feel compelled to be positive regarding their stay.

So much to say!! Perfect location. The check in process was seamless. The upgrades they have done are beautiful. (Pictures on line do not do it justice) Very spacious living area. They added 4 lounge chairs to the deck the week we were there and didn't get to use them but much needed. Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers at the home. Out doors showers are great for when you get off the beach. We did have a roof leak in the middle of the living room the night before we were leaving. Storms were really powerful. This is a must stay home.

Summer Wind was clean and the perfect location. We had everything we needed for a fabulous vacation. There were three adults and five children. The outdoor showers were great too! ITrip was absolutely fabulous with communication and response time!!!

We are very pleased with this property, the location and the communication with the agent...flawless! You will not be disappointed. Only drawback (and why I rate "Cleanliness" a 4 Star) is the quality of the golf carts which should be considered for replacement.
