We have rented with Akers Ellis numerous times in the past 25 years we have been coming to the Low Country. It has always been a great experience. Any issues are quickly resolved by a professional staff who seem to value the importance of our family time. We love the home at 147 Hooded Merganser because it fits our family dynamic so well. Love the home, location to the beach and private heated pool. We are so blessed to be able to stay in such a wonderful venue each fall. We will return again.

Beautiful location, truly a gem of a property. The layout made for a great place to have time together, while having your own sense of privacy. We loved our time there and will definitely be back!

Positives include good location near beach access, adequate common areas in living room, porch and pool area to socialize and two nice master suites. That said this home definitely feels like a rental property: Needs a deep cleaning, kitchen was disorganized and furniture was tired. We had four couples and the two “suites” in the guest house were very small…especially the baths.

We had a great time. The location and weather was perfect and our week’s stay was restful and restorative.

It is really just for a quick dip. Some of the furniture was tired and not clean enough for us.

Had a wonderful time with family and friends. Plenty of seating and a short bike ride to the beach. Privacy of guest house was great! Looking forward to staying here again in November!

Separate spaces for families worked out well with little ones, pool was wonderful despite cool outdoor temps.

Great location and great house for multiple families. Particularly because half of the bedrooms are completely separate from the main part of the house. We loved it.
