We had never been to Marlo before and were very impressed with our accommodation. Jeff and Rebecca were excellent hosts, willing to assist and make us feel welcome, with many suggestions for sightseeing and where to go for a meal.

We found the Marlo Hideaway to be the perfect place for a quiet and relaxed getaway. The hosts Bec and Jeff are very accommodating and approachable people. The rooms are clean and tidy with well-appointed kitchen including fridge, cooker, microwave etc. An added bonus is the fantastic and well thought out outdoor camp-kitchen with all the mod-cons of home. We enjoyed a lovely BBQ dinner sitting beside the Chemineer. They have a beautiful native garden and there's ample on-site parking and all within an easy stroll to the General Store, Pub and jetty. If you're ever down in east Gippsland and looking for that quiet and relaxed accommodation, we would thoroughly recommend the Marlo Hideaway.

There is nothing not to like about this place, except the fishing could have been better. Maybe next time we visit :-)

The owners are lovely people, the place is fantastic with a great layout and terrific range of utilities to use. The location is great and the outside area is lovely with a lovely pool and barbecue facilities. Loved it 😍

It is an outstanding holiday accommodation! The room and outdoor areas are superb. We were welcomed with a fresh loaf of local bread, butter and coffee! Lovely cabin with beautiful drawings on the walls by the owner, who is also an artist and a carpenter. We loved it!

Location and tranquility

Property was well sign-posted and in a convenient location. The owners were welcoming and attentive. The units are comfortable, very clean and thoughtfully appointed. All in all, we were very glad to have stayed here. Thank you.

Everything!! This hidden jewel located at the mouth of the snowy river was amazing. The owners (Bec and Jeff) were as accommodating as they could possibly be. Our room had a fresh loaf of bread for morning toast with multiple spreads, including fresh butter. The freshly ground coffee and a French press were an added bonus. They even threw in a few candy bars for our sweet tooth. When we arrived, they made us reservations for dinner at the local restaurant when we asked for a recommendation of where to eat. We were only able to spend one night, and in the morning, Jeff jumped in his car and lead us to an area where he knew wild emus were known to roam. Sure enough, we spotted not one, but two emus - one right next to the road. Great place, great people and outstanding value.
