I can't recommend the Zante Suites highly enough. We arrived with short notice but everything was ready for us. The hosts (Nicos, Sulva and Katarina) were amazing and very welcoming, on arrival and for the duration of our stay. The 2 bed apartment was very comfortable, equipped to the highest standard - the kitchen even had a dishwasher. Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus. The terrace area was private, overlooking the pool and adjoining olive grove, and very peaceful. The pool was exceptionally clean, and so were the toilets next to the reception area - saved us going back into the apartment. The reception and bar area was well stocked with plenty of beers, spirits and soft drinks. The hosts kept bringing bottled water, plates of fruit and other treats to us as we lounged around the pool. I developed a taste for Greek coffee (with plenty of sugar) and Sulva's bougatsa is heavenly. She is a great cook. We were invited for dinner one evening, the hosts insisting that we couldn't pay. It was the best meal we had on the island. The location is perfect, halfway between the beach and the town - set back from the road along a track through the olive groves. We spent most of our time around the pool during the day. The loungers were really comfortable and the shades move easily when it gets too hot. There are plenty of restaurants in the town and we ate out a lot, the town also has supermarkets, pharmacy and medical centre. We were sad to leave on the final day. Nicos arranged a taxi for the airport, which is only 25 minutes away. I'm sure we will be back there next year.
