This hotel suits its purpose of being close to phantasialand, the staff were helpful and friendly! The rooms are standard although our first room had no working air conditioning and a window that wouldn’t open/close easily. We were then moved to a different room, again the staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast is okay, it has lots of options and even offered vegan/gluten free alternatives. The hotel overall does look and feel a bit rundown/neglected in some areas. If you need somewhere to stay and can’t afford phantasialands on site hotels this is a fine alternative.

Ideally situated minutes away from the Cathedral. Early check-in given. The room was very nice. I accidentally left my passport in the safe and staff were helpful enough to find it and look after it till I returned to Cologne. Excellent service and would highly recommend

Overall the stay was great. However the pillows had no substance to them. You needed 3 or 4 to make a proper pillow. Also the AC wasn't working fully. I'm guessing the AC was stopped because it was still cold outside so had to sleep with the window open instead. Breakfast was good. Everything you could want.

It’s a nice hotel but on random nights the bar is closed. Restaurant menu is not very vegan friendly. The only English channel on tv is France 24. BBC or CNN would be nice

The hotel was easy to get to with plenty of parking, just outside the city center in a quiet setting. It was mostly clean (we had a big stain on the carpet by the side-table in our room) The staff was mostly friendly & helpful. The room we stayed in was small for American standards. The hotel definitely wins the flattest pillow award! I didn't even notice I had two pillows until I tried rolling them up for more support. The hotel offered a great breakfast buffet, including a nice inside and outside seating area. Coffee was offered through 2 big automated coffee makers, with plenty of frothed options to choose from. A simple German cup of copy with a simple creamer would have sufficed for me though.

The hotel offers a decent service for the price. The major perks is the hotel location, 5 minutes drive from the theme park. The hotel is quite dated, some parts have been refurbished recently, some other are still in the 80s vibes (especially the gym and sauna area which are a bit gloomy). The restaurant and the breakfast are very good for the price, the downside was that the smell of the restaurant was present in all the hotel (fortunately nit in the rooms). So a good place to rest after an exhausting day at the theme park, definitely not a place for a long stay. I add that the the staff was very professional and available to help.

Smell, loud

Good size room but small bathroom. Great breakfast choice included. Good tea/coffee facilities in room. Easy to get to. Very hot room and air con didn’t work. Pillows were very soft and mattress too so not great sleep. Good blackout curtains but unfortunately large gap on one side so couldn’t block early light. Reception smelt strongly of cigarettes but room was ok.

The stuffs are very friendly and helpful. The room is also cozy and tidy. Some people might be concerned that this hotel is 30-50 mins far by train from the central cologne station but for me it was totally fine. The breakfast included in the room fee was great with much variety. I would choose this hotel too if I have another chance to visit cologne.

good hotel reasonably priced

We stayed here last night. The lobby and communal areas were modern. The rooms and hallways we're dated. The first staff we met we kind and helpful. At midnight a man entered our room with a key card. This we very distressing. We called the reception who said "we gave someone the wrong key it happens sometimes" this was not helpful and the staff member was not appologetic. We spoke to reception the next morning and explained what had happened. There response was "yes we know". The is appalling customer service. We understand that accidents happen but the hotel denied any wrong doing and acted as though we were overreacting. We did not sleep out of fear and our dog who alerted us to the intruder is very unsettled and uneoubidly dustrubed the other guests for the rest of the evening. We will not be booking our second night here in Brühl as planned. Do not stay at this hotel.

Dieses Besuch war besonders. Ich bin wegen medizinische Gründe nach Deutschland geflogen. Die Mitarbeitern beim Hotel war hervorragend - sie haben uns geholfen und waren immer freundlich und haben nach meiner Situation gefragt. Das war schön. Das Problem war mit technischen Geräte. Wir müssten zweimal Zimmer Umziehen wegen der Klimaanlage. Im ersten Zimmer ist die Decke deswegen herunter gefallen (als wir schliefen) im zweiten Zimmer funktioniert es nicht richtig. Gott sei Dank hat das dritte Zimmer keine Klimaanlage Probleme! Es gab andere Kleinigkeiten die noch besser könnten, aber ins Gesamt, werde ich nochmal dort übernachten. Die Erfahrung war überhaupt positiv und auch das inklusive Frühstück war echt lecker!

Unfriendly and unhelpful stuff at reception. House keeping doesn't knock to doors enter to the room and don't understand English. After that they didn't clean my room. At reception didn't want to unlock my money for 10 days, during payment man in reception plug out suddenly a cable from terminal. Very unprofessional and rude personalel but not all of them.

Very nice hotel. Room a bit small, bit for short stay is enough. Great service and breakfast selection was good. A bit disappointing to have fluorescent light bulbs, but I'm sure they'll upgrade that soon.

The hotel room was small but functional. The flat screen was a 27 inch, in the center of the wall. It could not be moved so you have to be in the middle of the bed to watch it. There was no mini fridge and no coffee maker. The worst part was that the AC was not working. I reported it 3 different times and each time i was told "the technician will be here in an hour" The AC did not work for the 3 days I was there. I'm sure its been fixed. The hotel breakfast is great! The staff was very helpful. The hotel is a 20 min drive into the Koln city center.

Fantastic, even in the Covid restriction circumstances. The rooms are very comfortable, The air con works (you have to close the window for it to work due to a censor - great idea). Very easy atmosphere, there is a Netto next door and it is easy access to Phantasialand with the Mitte stop for the shuttle either a 10 minute walk of 4 minute bus ride. Also, customer service is beyond reproach - so heplful and also kind. Breakfast IS included and right now due to the Covid situation it is more limited than usual but still HUGE effort made to keep you safe AND give you a good breakfast! 5 stars all the way! As an aside - yes it is slightly cheaper to stay in Cologne close to the Central station and then travel in to Phantasialand BUT I promise if you book at this hotel even though it is slightly higher in price, you will find it was the right decision and will in fact save you money!

The customer service was great. Nice and respectful. Unfortunately, the room was a first glance was okay but upon closer inspection, was not clean. After spouse cleaned unknown spots in the bathroom, found multiple hairs in bed. Front desk was willing to help, unfortunately, with the quality of the room we had we decided to leave.

The check in was easy, the breakfast tasty and the general stay was excellent. I would recommend this hotel any day of the week

What a lovely stay away. Very comfortable, very friendly staff and a good breakfast to start the day. Bruhl was chosen for its location not for Bruhl itself but the hotel and town experience itself means we'll definitely be back. Didn't get a chance to use the fitness suite, but hopefully next time! Thanks for looking after us so well.
