Staff were incredible- they accommodated every request so graciously, their service was absolutely 5 star and the staff were all so charming. The location is wonderful and the room was beautiful.

I booked one day to many they refused to give me a credit. Beds were hard as a rock. Staff didn’t seem to care about you at all.
Positive thing was. They had an amazing rooftop restaurant with a view.

It was perfection from beginning to the end ! Especially welcome the Nikkei restaurant just below the hotel. The view from our room was wonderful.

It is an excellent hotel with in a wonderful neighborhood (Kolonaki). The hotel is in walking distance to great sites and restaurants. The property had great services, outstanding breakfast buffet, and welcoming and helpful staff. I loved the rooftop pool and bar area. I would come here again and again.

Nice hotel. Staff was wonderful except for the older woman at the desk. Not friendly. Kind of mean. Otherwise staff was helpful.

Excellent hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, room was lovely and the view from the balcony was amazing. The hotel is in a good location and breakfast was very good with the amazing views from the terrace. Swimming pool and bar in the roof is wonderful and very clean and well attended by staff.

On check in, I found that the staff were not very welcoming. There was a trainee who was being told off by an older gentleman. We asked if it was possible to have a room with a view of the Acropolis. The trainee asked the older gentleman and I was told that the hotel was full and I would have a room overlooking the courtyard which was actually the street. Guests were meant to be given a glass of Prosecco on arrival but we were not offered this. Room was not cleaned properly nor toiletries filled. I had to ask for toilet paper. Breakfast was good with a variety. Overall lacked a welcoming environment.

Our room was supposed to be a panoramic view but we had a view of the mountain and far to one side could see the acropolis. To pay extra for that peek a boo view was ridiculous. Our room was also incredibly small and smelled like mold. Also the twin beds get pushed together to make a double (which was in the description), but we didn’t like that. Now we still have it 4 stars because the service of the staff and the food was amazing! I’m not sure if we would stay here again, but the rooftop bar and pool were also great.

Quiet Area and easy to access the Center by Taxi

This hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood in central Athens so it's a rare find. Sometimes the service is lacking however that seems to be a general "thing" in Greece. Not sure why that is but that is what I observed. Overall it is a good place to stay with an amazing breakfast. They do let ppl from the area use the roof top pool which can become annoying to the people actually paying to be there. On a hot day (which is many in the summer) the pool is packed and basically no seating available.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing rooftop restaurant and amenities. The view from the pool and restaurant were unbelievable. It is only a 15 minute ride from The acropolis.
We dined at the restaurant twice and we were very pleased. The breakfast is also totally worth it.

Location, amenities, restaurant and gym were all fantastic. As a VIP however, I had to keep asking for the benefits to be honored. They were then recognized but it was a bit frustrating

All in all, I think the St. George Lycabettus Hotel is the nicest in Athens. Especially wonderful is the rooftop pool area and the dining room on the floor just below it, both with a gorgeous view across the city, beyond the Acropolis to the sea. The location is perfect. I look forward to our next visit.

A lovely hotel. Had a great meal and service on our first evening but on the second evening we were so disappointed. White wine was warm when it arrived. Pre dinner nibbles delivered part way through our main course. Service was so slow and we eventually left before ordering dessert as by then it was so late.

The room was comfortable and the food was good. The view from the roof top pool and the restaurant was stunning. We had an incident with the restaurant where we tried to pay our bill repeatedly and they insisted it was paid. After waiting quite a while to try and sort it out we left for our rooms and then the manager showed up at one of the rooms and would not leave until the bill was paid. That was not a big deal except that the other room adamantly wanted to cover the dinner. They went up to sort it out and then the manager showed up at the rooms again to process the refund. We had an early flight the following morning and it was annoying to say the least to have to deal with that. We chose these rooms due to the reputation that it was the best place to stay in Athens and it did not live up to that.
