The hotel's location was ideal; it was easy to explore the area and return to the hotel for a restful retreat. I also liked the way it was built on a rock and looks like a castle, also enjoyed the stunning view of the city from my window. The breakfast buffet was good enough with fresh, high-quality options that made each morning a pleasure. A standout feature of my stay was the complimentary afternoon snack. This wasn’t just a light bite, but it was a generous spread that could easily serve as a hearty dinner. From savory pastries and sandwiches to fresh salad and sweets, the selection was abundant and satisfying. It was a delightful surprise that added an extra layer of comfort to my stay. I surely would recommend it.

Our stay was wonderful. I was here in town for work and decided to drag my husband along. He and I thoroughly enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere we received upon check in. The view from our room was wonderful. I love seeing cities at night, and viewing all the lights around.

We have stayed here over 30 nights since our son moving. Never had a complaint. We will never stay here again. The coffee was always empty. We were told we could have a room but there was no parking pass for our room so we could park on campus. We had to call the front desk because impaired people would not stop knocking on our door after 10pm. Never again.

We were given a handicap room even though we are able bodied, because of this, the bathroom light switches and toilet were very low. Very minimal counter space in the bathroom as well and the shower obviously didn't have a true shower pan so when you showered, the entire bathroom floor was very wet. To top it off, the room refrigerator had a very loud noise and shook when it kicked in. The positives were getting cookies and milk when we checked in and the breakfast buffet was amazing. Overall, I'm glad we only spent one night at this Holiday Inn Express, typically other Holiday Inn Express hotels are much better. Next time I'm in Spokane, I'll stay at a different Holiday Inn Express.

The staff were WONDERFUL.

Overall an excellent choice. Great location and it’s evident the staff take pride in their work as everyone was nice and professional, the property was clean, breakfast was more than acceptable. Only two minor issues: one is that there is a single elevator for a 4 floor building, the other being with the ac on and curtains closed, the ac vents send the air up the curtains and not into the room as they cover then non movable vents. Other than that a great choice.

Overall good for a family

Overall our stay was nice, the property was clean, in a safe area, and walkable to downtown. I purposely booked a room with a balcony and city view (it was extra to do this) and upon check in was given a ground floor room behind bushes. When I went back to the front desk and brought this up her reply was ‘Well you’re on the city view side and you have a patio’. I told her I booked a balcony on purpose and multiple times she told me I had a patio instead and there were no other rooms available. It wasn’t until I asked what the purpose of paying more for a balcony was if they just assign you as they want. Then she said she could switch me with someone who hadn’t checked in yet as long as we hadn’t touched anything in the room and had left it resellable and that she would have to check it. She did eventually move us to the 3rd floor with a balcony but I don’t understand why we weren’t assigned that in the beginning since the reservation clearly said balcony room. The front desk lady was not necessarily rude but was clearly annoyed I was asking for the room I paid for. It was a decent breakfast and we might stay there again but I’m hesitant after our check in issue. The kids were excited to finally stay on the ‘castle on the hill’ and LOVED the balcony. The city view was very nice at night as well.

This is an excellent hotel with first rate room furnishings, wonderful shower, nice bedding. The check-in agent was friendly and helpful with dinner recommendations. Price is high.

Very convenient to River Front Park, less than a 10 min. walk away. I had a 4th floor room with a balcony and city view, very nice. The free breakfast was the best I've had at a hotel, hot food, pastries, fruit, coffee, juices etc. You have the choice of eating in the dining area, or taking it back to your room. I'd definitely book again.

Best hotel in Spokane area! Clean rooms, free breakfast, an evening Manager’s snack with complimentary wine and beer, and finally milk & cookies before bed. Staff are very friendly, professional and approachable.

Great breakfast and atmosphere

Our room 111 had a very loud intermittent machine noise. I complained about it the first night. The Desk Lady was great and she set us up to move the next morning. We asked to move the next morning but were told there were no notes in the computer and he could not help us. It turns out the notes were in there but we only had one more night of the very uncomfortable noise so we felt wit this no sleeping for three nights. It wasn’t s really to bad because we liked the property and plan I. Being back in Spokane several more times. It will be hard to choose to stay because nothing was done except the first night front desk lady. Jimmy mcGowan
