We loved this place! Beautiful green grass, fruit trees, private beach, beautiful river view! Nice pool, bar, restaurant, staff was helpful & friendly. Convenient location, rooms were nice & big. We do recommend this place!

We liked the dock / beach area. We did not like: Lack of a restaurant, lack of coffee maker in room, room windows did not open, elevator smell, 1st floor has odor, many outside entrances were not available.

The marina adjacent to the hotel is very nice, with a small beach for swimming and boats coming in and out. There is a small snack bar at the marina. They have a Tesla 240V charger at the edge of the parking lot for guests. it's not a Supercharger but rather the home 240V unit and is free for guests. The interior is dated, and the exterior has peeling paint, so the property needs some attention. We got a room facing the river, and the balcony was not big enough for even one chair. You can stand on it - big enough for one person to stand. I don't think I'd pay extra for the river view again, since you can just walk down to the river.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

Beautiful location. Nice Pool. 3 day stay - requested towel service - never received. No food service and bar wouldn't charge to room. My big complaint was that they put a hold of double the amount of my account on my credit card and it wasn't released for days after check out. Very outdated policy. I paid for 3 rooms so the block on my card was over $3000 which stayed on my credit card 2 days after check out.

I was treated horribly by staff. Questioned if i was a guest everyday. Maid did a horrible job cleaning and one day didnt even stop by. I had to ask for fresh towels. I had a horrible experience will not be coming back.

The river front view that we had booked was obstructed so you could only see the river if you stood up and off to one side of our area.

Older hotel, apparently the new owners updating it. Could be cleaner, although much of this is simply age-like the carpet, time to replace (five years probably overdue) marina and beach area absolutely incredible, location of hotel incredible (quiet & safe neighborhood ) continental breakfast was ok, they had issues keeping up with getting items stocked. Again, apparently restaurant going through renovations so this is offered to guests instead. Would probably stay here again, it’s old, reasonably priced for the area and location is great, however, their comes a point when stuff is just old and needs replacing / can’t clean forever.

Family stayed for three days. Loved it. Private beach was nice. Though they said food trucks show up every morning for breakfast between 7 - 9. Never seen one there. Everyone crowded the keirig machine. Count on Denny’s 5 minutes away!

Nice morning breakfast. Would have appreciated dauly cleaning. .aids were nice when I asked for new towels. Plenty of parking was nice. Idaho very nice and area felt very safe n nice and clean! Great lake for swimming and spending day with fam nearby.

Red Lion Templin’s on the River is an excellent hotel. It got 4 stars only because the property is in the middle of a renovation. They have recently been bought and the new owners are giving it a facelift. The Excellent part: The staff. Everyone I interacted with was above average in terms of customer service. With one exception that I will detail below. Each member of the team is helpful and courteous. Seriously a home run in this area. The free breakfast. I don’t know if the breakfast we had is going to be what they offer moving forward because their restaurant is undergoing a renovation currently. But it’s everything you need in a free breakfast. Muffins, bagels, microwave breakfast burritos, fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice and coffee. Parking. The parking is effortless and just got done being repaved. No matter where your room is located the parking is excellent and very well lit. The foyer and common areas. Recently redone as well. Really nice to just sit and have a cup of coffee. Which is also a bonus as it’s free. The good: Rooms. The rooms are dated in some ways. The one we stayed in had not been renovated yet. With the exception of the beds which were new and very comfortable. The lighting is ok. The tv is new but can be tricky to use. The blinds are blackout but finicky because they need to be replaced. The door that leads to the patio is old and a bit worn out. The patio needs some paint. The A/C works really well. The sheets and towels are newer.

Beautiful private beach area just past the boats. Currently the restaurant is closed for renos - that sucked There is a food truck with good food down at the beach but a limited menu.

Great beach area and pool. Rooms were very dirty including bedding, floors and bathroom.

The property is much older than what is shown in the pictures online. For some reason there are 2 doors to the room, one facing the parking lot and one the interior hallway. Very odd. The bed was one of the worst I have ever slept on. I had limited interaction with the staff, but they were nice and helpful.

The lobby was clean and appeared to be updated with a view of the water. The rooms need updating, plumbing was an issue, cleanliness was questionable. Was assigned a room, to arrive with someone staying in it. The receptionist apologized and said that has been happening. The outside had dry rot and paint chipping.

Best hotel I have stayed at.

I booked this hotel because it was on the river. However my room did not have a river view, the restaurant overlooking the river was closed and the outside lobby patio overlooking the river was also closed due to construction. I feel I should have received a discount with all the unavailable services. The room was large and comfortable but there are not coffee pots in the room and only 1 Kerig in the lobby for all the hotel guests. coffee pots in the room are pretty standard at this price point.

Clean and safe

This is our 2nd year staying at the Red Lion Hotel Templin's on the River. We would highly recommend staying here. The staff were exceptional and friendly. Our beds were soft and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast included gluten free items. This is such a wonderful treat for those of us that have gluten allergies. Great location on the river. It's very peaceful to be able to sit on our own balcony and enjoy the fresh air. We will be back again next year.
