Had a lovely stay and would love to go back in the future. Beautiful property and beautiful rooms. Also did a massage at August Moon and felt it was high quality and worth every dollar.

My experience was extremely disappointing. The room was clean, but everything is very very old. The air conditioning heating unit did not function properly and the control panel from so many years of use was not visible and appeared that someone had use an ink pen to access controls, I had to request maintenance service, which seem to annoy the front desk… I think this hotel needs major renovation and probably some management training. The maintenance fellow was excellent.

We stayed at La Tourelle for one night and found it to be a delightful experience. Check in was made simple by the friendly staff. Cleanliness and amenities are top notch. We stayed in a fireplace king room and found it to be a cozy place to stay.

This is a lux hotel with an attached spa and restaurant, high in the hills overlooking Ithaca. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. There was plenty of parking and we enjoyed our stay. The restaurant is only open on limited nights, and the restaurant is about 10 minutes drive from downtown. Also, breakfast availability on weekdays is quite meager. So, very comfortable and relaxing place to stay, but you might have to plan to go our for most or all of your meals.

We stayed for one night and enjoyed everything- the hotel is very charming and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and the property is lovely. We brought our dog and had a great experience- will definitely be back - Ithaca is a wonderful town

The Tourelle hotel offers an oasis of peace and tranquillity for anyone looking to take a long weekend rest away from the bustling and stress of New York City.
The gardens just outside the entrance are very beautifully conveived and very well kept and so is the grass. There are plenty of dining options but one obviously needs to have a car.
Rooms are very spacious and so are the bathrooms.
Staff are responsive, attentive, and available to give advice for activities (hiking etc.).
Tea and coffee are available.
Ithaca is beautiful although it may not always be sunny.
I highly recommend La Tourelle for a weekend stay.

Coming from Queens to La Tourelle was great! Its only a few minutes away from town but far enough to enjoy nature during the day along with incredibly nice staff. I really do wish to come back hopefully for a longer stay.

Our stay was spur of the moment and an absolute pleasure. Would love to stay again some day. Room was clean and tidy. Was able to check in early and close to a few of the sights we wanted to see.

The stay at La Tourelle was very pleasant. The room was large and very comfortable. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Our only real complaint was that the wifi was pretty weak. It's clear that this is an older facility, but everything worked and was comfortable. The location is not very central to Ithaca.

La Lourelle was nice, but it feels like it was at its best 25 years ago and hasn't been updated much since. Nothing was dirty or broken, but it also doesn't feel refined or modern.
But, it has a great location, with an easy drive into Ithaca, a great bakery within walking distance, and a private walking path into Buttermilk Falls State park. So it really was nice to stay at - it just doesn't feel up to date when compared with many other hotels.

A beautiful fireplace/jacuzzi tub/balcony room. Service was great. Spotlessly clean. Nice lobby and beautiful breakfast room.
Breakfast was lean but adequate. AC in my room so loud I had to turn off and on during the night to be comfortable. Vacuuming sounds started in hallways at 7 am! Those are small adjustable annoyances.
I would highly recommend a stay here.

Could be much better. Bistro closed on Sunday at 2pm, why? Rooms outdated, mattresses can be updated. No bar, if you want to get drink. Could add a simple gas fire pit outside for people to enjoy evenings. Breakfast is horrendous, laughable. Location is perfect. Will not stay here again. Hope the manager reads this review.

Pleasant staff, clean room, comfortable bed, however the hotel is dated and tired. May be a worthwhile spa experience (sadly booked for the times we needed, so we could not experience) but not as an overnight stop.
