Super friendly desk staff. Our view of the harbor was magnificent. Parking was no problem. There is a tight space in front of the hotel while unloading, but all went smooth with help from front desk staff. Restaurant was great and the location is excellent for small restaurants, breakfast places and gallery or gift shopping

While our room had a partial harbor view which was pleasant, one didn’t have to walk far from the hotel to see garbage in the streets and some homelessness.

Although this hotel is listed as a three star plus, it really is a five star hotel without the room service. It is smack downtown and close to all the lovely cafes, bakeries and restaurants and directly across from the beautiful harbour

Great place!!! Inside comfortable clean and friendky service...outside...Just trying to get out of the parkng garage one of the stairwells had an incredible stench of urine and sticky stairs :/.

From the checking process on the staff were outstanding. I was planning som7extra for my partner and the staff were super helpful with suggestions on local venues and with our stay at the Coast. Recent tasteful upgrades were obvious throughout the hotel and the room was amazing with beautiful views.
I have stayed here for many years and it just seems to be getting better every time I visit.

View and location are top notch. Harbour is noisy, to be expected but with closed doors you can’t hear. Hotel itself was nice and quiet. Excellent staff and amenities.

We loved the incredible views of the harbour in Nanaimo. The room was larger than expected and the bed was very comfortable. A great place to stay.

Cons:
1. Although it's a pet friendly hotel, our room was pretty clean, except for some (human) hair.
2. The parking garage have no security gate and there are many homeless around the area, which worries a little bit to leave the car there, but in our case all was good. Looks like it's not private property of the hotel, but a share parking lot area, so they can't control this detail.

Room was clean and had a great view. The in house restaurant/bar was terrible, waited a long time to be served and gave up in the end.

Greeted with smiles. Super clean room. Good underground parkade (not gated). Would definitely stay here again! The air conditioner unit in the room was a bit loud for our toddler, but im sure its fine for heavy sleepers.
