We've stayed at the Delta King Riverboat Hotel over 60 times since the mid-90's and it's always been very nice. Most rooms are small, but it's an old Riverboat and rooms were small back in the day. Over the years we have had larger rooms, but small is fine with us for a few nights. All staff have always been friendly and helpful. Oh yes, since the boat is floating on the Sacramento River it does move and tilt somewhat, even though it's fully connected to the pier. There always seems to be enough hot water, but at times the pressure is low in the shower. Not so much that you can't get a nice shower each day.

Chemical cleaning smell throughout the property so strong I had to wrap my face in a towel to be able to sleep. Windows don’t open, so no way to air out the room. The city side rooms are at the sidewalk level, so little privacy. Bathroom walls with what appears to be blood and mold. Rooms are tiny. The photos in their listing are not accurate. The whole place is the riverboat. There is not a separate hotel. I have photos and the app isn’t letting me upload them. I offered to send them to management and received no response. The front desk staff was very nice and allowed me to cancel my second night of the reservation with no hassle.

Always wanted to stay there. Location is awesome

The property itself is great. Did not realize it was a boat when made the reservation, but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The biggest pain was parking, there was a public ramp just down the street, but it was not cheap. The area right around the boat was Old Sacramento, it was not the cleanest area and I am not sure how safe it would be at night. There were plenty of choices to eat and shop.

The Delta King itself was a lovely stay. Renovated Historic Boat well kept. My room was great, liked the antique hardware, it was small but all I needed. The staff were all very kind, helpful and professional. The Bar and restaurant was very good. Morning coffee outside on deck was beautiful with the sunrise. Enjoy the atmosphere early because Old Town Sacramento gets busy with tourist. The vibe is a bit grungy and reminded me of bourbon street in New Orleans. Valet could use an extra person.

This hotel was so easy to get to off the freeway. The parking was a little bit of a surprise. It is only valet parking because the parking is off site in a safe parking garage. Rooms were small but so historic to the ship. Which only added to its charm. Very, very clean and staff were so helpful and kind. Restaurant on ship is top notch! Views were incredible. Would stay again and again.

Unique historic river boat that has been loving restored but several misses need to looked at. The bed linen is worn and scratchy while the bed mattress unusually lumpy - none of which has to do with the historical nature of the property. Surrounding area can be a bit noisy but nothing to get overly concerned about - it died down by 10 pm. Complimentary drink was welcomed and the vessel itself well situated by Old Sacramento. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

Really cool place to stay. Love the history behind it too. Rooms are small, but, hey, how room do you need and expect on a ship. Loved it!

A paddlewheel riverboat that's a hotel near quaint downtown historical museums and shopping! What else can I say?

From the minute I checked in, to even after I checked out, the staff have been absolutely incredible. The hotel is quite unique, with attention paid to keeping it authentic. The location is excellent, and being able to sit outside on the deck in the evenings was very relaxing. Be cautious if you are tall, the bathrooms in some staterooms are small. Noise on the weekends is loud, but old Sacramento seems to slow down around 10pm on Saturdays, and end by 11pm. Other nights we had no trouble with noise (in August). Again, I cannot stress how lovely the staff are. We will be returning for future Sacramento trips!

Could walk to river at hame. Cute and quaint.

Place itself is really cool and front desk staff was nice. There was a layer of dust on everything in my room. There was a used band aid on one of my bath towels that I didn’t notice until I was out of the shower, and the last morning I had a live cricket visitor in my bathroom. Note that it also gets really loud being right on the river. The boats going by blast music and heavy bass past 9pm.

I had an awesome experience on the Delta king… the staff was amazing…

The check in was super easy, fast, and friendly. We each received a welcome cocktail at the bar. It was a little noisy with boats coming by at night with loud bumping music and we had a very early check due to a flight and i didn't feel super safe leaving at 3:30am with the bar goers hanging out and getting a bit rowdy.

We had a very comfortable stay on the Delta King. Great food in the restaurants as well. The staff was outstanding!

Easy access to Old Sac. Fantastic bar and great service.

Check in personal was very nice. I taught the breakfast was included into my stay. I found out that was not included. The person who served the breakfast was stressed out, and was rude at moments. I had to tell a few times what I needed. Check put person was not nice. On top that she was wearing mask, and had very long and ugly nails.

It is a historic property and they kept the decor true to the era. The bed was comfortable and was pretty quiet except for some loud guests walking outside the room at 11pm. The only heads up to future guests is the ceilings and showers are low. So if you are over 6'2, you might have a problem in the shower. Overall we enjoyed staying there and would come back.

It was cool to sleep on a river boat. Staff was great!
