Greeted by a very rude lady and cheap hotel!

Great location, clean rooms. On PCH so traffic noise but close to food and the beach. Great place for the price. I’ll be staying there again next trip for sure.

The staff was rude. There were no tissues in the room. There was no maid service just towels. There was no view. The picture they showed in the advertisement the view was of the ocean. The view was one area on the third floor in one area not the ocean so the advertisement for this motel was misleading!

We really enjoyed our stay at OceanView Motel. Not only was it in a convenient location, it was clean, had a good price and Rosa is very hospitable. She made sure that we always had clean towels daily, and enough pillows for comfort. We will be back! Great price and great service!

Lights in the bathroom did not work.

It’s a place with a roof over your head. Not far from beach to walk. It’s got the basics but not comfortable. The bedding and pillows were terrible. Definitely a motel accommodation not a resort!

Just your typical Motel 6 quality place.

Facing tall condos. Busy street. OceanView motel shows a picture of being in front of ocean with palm tree. Lady explained that it was a neighborhood picture only.

Greta place to make stop in our road trip. It’s a really basic hotel, but it’s clean, and the girl at the front Des are sweet and give us good informations about the restaurants around and the City.

Floor was filthy and room smelled musty

We arrived an hour before check in and were not able to check in even though our room was ready. Hotel is called Oceanview, but does not have a view of the ocean. Houses block the view. Rooms are not cleaned daily. Towels are exchanged only upon request. We had to drive across the street to the beach as it was too far for us to carry our chairs, beach umbrella, beach bag and chest.

It was a ver pleasant stay for me in the hotel.

I did have to leave 2 days early and had I booked with the hotel I would have received a refund. Since I booked through Expedia, I don't know if I can get a refund, I also paid for the insurance. Next time will book through hotel.

No ocean view, the towels were dirty, air conditioner did not work, Room was rundown more than usual, The bed didn’t look like a queen and was uncomfortable. Staff was rude and didn’t care about the air-conditioning. “ Open the window”

Convenient, plenty of parking, staff was wonderful.

Had a pleasant stay at ocean view, room was clean and had maid service everyday. Will return. Staff was friendly. Note: its next to pacific coast Hwy. So traffic is a bit noisy so be aware. My room actually had an ocean view 😊

I'm really disappointed in our experience with this hotel and unfortunately Expedia let me down as well. TLDR: The property manager denied my dad check-in because she misunderstood the situation (he did have a cc with his name on it and cash for the $100 incidentals charge at the property, but when clarifying the specific amount he would be charged, she misunderstood and thought he only had an AmEx card - which they don't accept) and ultimately she turned him away. The kicker: He went back the next morning and explained himself again and she finally allowed him to check in, but she would not grant a refund for the night that she denied him check-in nor admit that she made a mistake. I'm disheartened by this because there was no accountability taken for the misunderstanding and no remedy to make it right on either end. While I'm glad it wasn't a total loss for the 2/3 days booked, it was still extremely frustrating. I've used Expedia quite a lot over the past couple of years, but after all of that, I won't be returning. :( What's worse, is my dad could hear the property manager arguing with other guests as well. Save your money and book somewhere else!

The Indian woman who checked us in was fine but not great. It was just after 3pm, no one around. She claimed no rooms were ready until 4pm. Silly. She needs a better attitude and seems put out. She also complained that "the tourists no longer come there or the area and that we won't see anyone on the beach" LOL. The beach was so packed from Sunset to Huntington we literally couldn't find a parking place. Area is fine, this motel is forgettable but convenient. The pier area at Seal Beach is great. We like it better than Huntington Beach which was a surprise. But again, the parking was non existent. 2.5 stars for motel. And this is more than fair. 4 stars for Sunset Beach/Seal Beach. 3 stars for area of where motel is.

Proximity to beach was convenient but low budget hotel. The problem was I couldn’t microwave a frozen meal the microwave gave out half way through and the staff gave me hassle to help. Next morning tried to microwave breakfast and was told I had to wait till 8am bf they could help. Still waiting to see if I get my deposit back as she stated microwaves don’t heat stoffers meals. I’m sure others would have more to say

Great price, great value. Took a spontaneous weekend trip to the beach. We were on the 3rd floor, there’s an elevator for convenience. Beds are comfortable. The lighting is a bit dim and you cannot plug the tub to take a bath, but housekeeping made our bed each day and provided fresh towels. I would stay here again.

Lady at front desk was very nice and friendly.

You can’t beat this deal for where you are located. If you are needing a room to basically sleep, shower, bathroom and get ready the room is clean. Staff was very friendly to me.

I was going to arrive later than check in time, after 10:00. We are traveling from Oregon,l. An emergency trip, l The hotel charged us an additional $57.00. I explained that we encountered long stretch of road work which delayed us 45 minutes.

It was very clean and housekeeping was great. Front desk, I’m not sure how to spell her name…Shavoinne? Was very sweet.

The hotel is in a great location, we love that area and have stayed here before. The room was clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable wish I knew what mattress is used. The coffee shop Nextdoor is awesome as are all the other walking distance eateries. We love it here because we can park on arrival and walk everywhere!
