We loved the hotel - very comfortable. Only complaint was the restaurant- understaffed the night we were there and the food was not great. The entrees items were not as described on menu and we were double charged for one of our entrees. Beer was good but would not recommend the bricks brew house for supper.

Well-maintained, quiet hotel with on-site restaurants

We were in Smithers on the return journey from Haida Gwaii. This hotel is one of the best we stayed at during the 17 day trip. Our room was large and pleasant. The room had a fridge, microwave, 2 burner cooktop and lots of dishes should you want to prepare a light meal. The beds were very comfortable and we were able to control the ac settings. There is both a bar and restaurant in the hotel and Safeway is conveniently located across the street should you need any snacks. For those who are interested in hiking, the Crater Lake trail is only 20 kilometers away at the ski hill. It's a fairly short hike with great rewards throughout.

I have stayed in this facility many times over the past 30 years. It has lost much of its lustre, having become rather shabby. Prestige, the "new" owners might consider hiring English-speaking staff for the front desk, and for goodness sake, come up with another system for room-cleaning that does not require guests to run the gauntlet to get past all the room-cleaning carts.

The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of the room. 1. Shower head needs repair. 2. Burnt out light in the bathroom. 3. Bed side lamp was broken. 4. Half of the king size bed was broken and on an angle. 5. The room was way over priced. I’ll never stay there again or recommend anyone else to stay there. Next time I’ll drive to another town or city and stay at a different hotel!!

I always travel with my small dog. Room was great and clean and they were really awesome towards my pup as well. The restaurant in the building also has amazing food!

Clean and beds are comfortable

We are traveling from Pittsburgh, PA to Anchorage, AK with a U-Haul and trailer and we needed a safe place to park and sleep for the night and we are so grateful for this place! A safe place to park with a huge parking lot, beautiful rooms and the restaurant is top notch!!!

I find booking with this service is consistently not what the hotel offers-- room, price , facilities. my complaint is with the booking service, as interpreted to hotel. specifically I asked for pet friendly, then booked room with one bed. arrived to find extra charge, and only two bed rooms available. similar to previous experience. not good

Good stay, convenient for our purposes.

Stay was straight forward. Ice machine was broken and the room had no electrical outlet available beside the bed to plug my cpap machine in. Had to run a cord across to the other side of the room for a walk plug causing a tripping hazard.

Our stay at the lodge was okay. There wasn’t anything wrong, but it was definitely average in comparison to other hotel stays we have had. The hallways seemed dark. The rooms could use a bit of updating - we much prefer rooms with no carpet (they feel cleaner), and we had trouble finding places to plug electronic devices in (there were outlets, but not in the most convenient places). One of the duvets had an old stain; stained linens IMO are gross & need to be taken out of circulation from being used. The bathroom was small & dark, dim lighting & black countertops, but it was fine for our short two night stay. The hook on the back of the bathroom door was near falling off & needed replacing by the looks of it. Although our room faced the highway it was quiet of traffic noise; the AC/fan noise helped to muffle any outside noise anyway. Staff that we encountered throughout the stay were all friendly. We ate twice at the pub downstairs. One meal was pizza & appies - it was very greasy. The other was dinner meals & we all enjoyed what we had chosen. Overall it just felt pretty pricey for what it was. Two nights in Prince George costs far less, at a much newer/nicer property, & we often chose one that offers a great buffet breakfast. Smithers isn’t somewhere that we stay often but nothing really made me say, “We’ll stay there next time for sure”. It was nothing super horrible but it wasn’t anything fabulous either.

We had mobility issues and the staff were very accommodating. Great stay with family!

My only downside of our atay was the lack of handicap parking. I only saw one space.. and with two restaurants and a hotel, there should be more. The morning front desk staff were awesome! Helped me a lot.
