The property was very clean. The staff very friendly. The food could use a little work. Some not all of the food was dry, over cooked.

The Beach at this property was amazing and it was very large and having a water sport shop onsite was nice also from snorkeling gear to kayaks to catamarans have to say going out on the catamaran for 3 hours and snorkeling was great the crew out there was real fun we had a blast there was 12 people from our group that went.

Air conditioning not working and so the sleeplessness ruined the daytime enjoying of facilities.
Phone also not working in the room and even after complaining nobody fixes it.
Overall, a wasted vacation and not going to RIU anytime.

Everything was amazing staff is very friendly and very very respectful they are willing to go above and beyond to make sure your comfortable and to have an amazing time. My children didn’t want to leave at all wish I could added a few more nights but school starts in 2 days.

We truly enjoyed our stay but felt better communication about daily activities would benefit the resort. The in app schedule said the kid activity was in one location and when we arrived for the activity it was actually in a different location. There was a learning curve on how the activities are listed in the app. Staff were unbelievably friendly and very helpful. Kudos to them!!

The beach and all the options of kayaking, snorkeling and the boat sailing truly great

There were a lot of food options from the main dining to the 5 different restaurants available. Humongous property and the beach was amazing from the water park which includes slides for adults and children, to the yoga sessions. Overall I enjoyed myself with my family. The only Takeaway was staff wasn’t so informative about the schedule activities. You have to download an app, and had to make reservations in advance for the restaurants.

Good/Ok, but not a 5 star resort.
THE BAD
- No beach umbrellas
- No beach drink service
- No room service
- No toiletries with the exception of all in one shampoo
- Cafeteria is an absolute madhouse. Barely enough tables to accommodate all. People cutting lines, inconsiderate, rude
- Lots of bars, but not a single cafe where kids/non-drinkers can get a coffee/hot chocolate/snack when restaurants are closed
- No security presence
- Full size dispensers of alcohol in the bedrooms. (Bad idea if children in the room.)

- this is an old resort that has been refurbished and the updates are well done

Found two roaches one in the buffet area One in the Italian restaurant my room was clean the bathroom not so much smell like pee the shower had soap scum all over the shower glass door that wasnt clean Properly

Great property, lots of good shows, plenty of bars, restaurants and pools. House keeping cleaned and restocked my room everyday. I love that the mini bar in my room have locks to prevent any tampering with of the liquor. My only complaint was the services in the buffet was very slow with taking drink orders, and getting what we needed for the table. Also they had the same food every night. Food was good but it would have been nice if they switched it up.

I informed the front desk upon my arrival that my husband was celebrating our honeymoon. They said we would receive a fruit platter; however, I have to remind them a few days because we did not receive it. The fruit platter and a bottle of champagne arrived the evening before we left. We did not have time to eat the fruit platter, but we took the bottle of champagne home. In the future these items should be sent to the room at least the next day after arrival, so guest can enjoy them, and appreciate them.

No signs stating water was not drinkable. Roaches in the rooms. One of the other guest told me bed bugs were found in her mattress. Bar areas could be cleaner, very sticky. More two prong plugs to charge your phone or ipad devices. Oh, some hotel areas do not get wifi. Stay was at Ocho Rio resort. Bar in room only gets filled every two days. On day one our bar only had a quarter of liquor no bottled water. Call customer service and they seemed very inconvenienced.

The resort was over and beyond what we expected! Any small issues we encountered where addressed immediately. The food was outstanding, especially that amazing steak we had before we left. Everyone at your resort was very friendly and accommodating. Thank you again for making this stay just wonderful!
