Great hotel, service brilliant, views amazing. Very clean and modern.

We had a comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the water. Good location - walkable to town.

I liked location and cleanness. I didn’t like that they didn’t have iron or steamer. I stayed in 9 hotels in 4 months and they all provided one or the other. Splendid said they don’t provide them due to safety reasons. A steamer is no danger. Also room 307 didn’t have not even one drawer for pj’s, t shirts, socks etc. Neither one of our reading night lights worked. Personnel was very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast awful load music for morning hours though.

Perfect hotel and worth every cent. Great service and easy check in, perfectly located so that everything is walkable and the views and pool area are amazing. Breakfast also a great experience.

Hotel and location excellent only downside no tea/coffee facilities in the room.The two young men and young woman on the Reception were excellent, very helpful, informative and friendly also the gentleman and young man around the pool friendly and helpful. The breakfast and restaurant waiters seemed unfriendly, no good morning/good evening or even a smile, same with other management staff.

We had a fantastic time at Hotel Splendid, with wonderful views of the sea. Staff were all helpful and professional. It is in a great location, away from the main hassle and bustling tourist crowds, but with easy access to all the sights. Also, on the Expedia website it states there is no lift at this hotel, this is wrong. There are 2 lifts all the way up to the 5th floor! This was very much welcomed as we were staying on tge 4th floor.

It was light, bright and clean with a friendly staff and lovely breakfast.

Taormina is a beautiful town steeped in culture and history, however the Splendid Hotel seems to miss all of that character and in some ways feels a little soulless. It has clearly been refurbished recently and has a modern feel, however when you look a little closer you see that most things are finished poorly - gaps around fixtures / fittings, warped floors, a shower which doesn’t really close properly (leading to a pretty significant leak) - but above all else, the hotel lacks any of the beauty of the town in which it is situated and is instead a sterile white cookie-cutter example of a hotel that could fit in literally anywhere in the world. For some people that might actually be a positive, however Italy has so much to offer and so many hotels and B&Bs achieve the perfect balance of character and modernity. We were encouraged to book a table in the rooftop restaurant as it is frequently full however when we arrived we were only the second couple. The food was ok, but not great value for money. The pool-side bar is also on the expensive side and they didn’t even have the facilities to make a real cappuccino. Additionally, the pool itself isn’t exactly big enough to host the significant number of guests the hotel can accomodate. The breakfast buffet was actually a redeeming quality, ample selection both early and later in the morning, even if having a room directly next to the dining room meant we were woken up at 6:30am by the noise of preparations.

Beautiful hotel in wonderful location. Very clean and well maintained. Pool area nice , but pool water too warm. Breakfast room was gorgeous and lots to chose from. I loved the proximity away from town a bit but still walkable. Views from pool were nice. Did not like some of staff who were a little snooty. I don’t respond well to attitude. I didn’t let it bother me and enjoyed my stay. Would happily return.

Very nice hotel, good location, amazing view and very good service. We only miss coffee & tea-making facility in our room.

This property was fantastic! The view and small terrace off our room were amazing! If you feel comfortable driving to the property taking advantage of the valet parking is definitely worth it. Also, the staff were very accommodating and helpful. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Great room, poor location in basement. Great breakfast and good location. Hotel does not have free parking, so we used the valet parking at 20€.

The hotel had just been renovated. It felt like a super luxurious hotel. We felt it was great value. The parking service was a godsend. The staff were lovely. The views were outstanding. The location was great. The hotel was very stylish.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and were very impressed with the hotel, especially for the price we paid! However, we were traveling in March which is considered the off season. Upon walking into the lobby we noticed right away how clean and fresh it smelt! We were blown away by our well renovated room with a view of the Mediteranean sea. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The included breakfast was delicious as well. The hotel is conveniently located and is walking distance from many restaurants and stores. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

5 minute walk to high street shopping. Convenient to walk to greek amphitheater, cable car, sights. Parking inconvenient.

Overall ok for what we paid, but would have been very disappointed if we had paid full price/peak season rates. We booked a last minute off season deal and probably got the worst room in the hotel. We had a window in the room, but it opened up to a wall and it was situated next to the hotel ventilation, so a constant noise when the window was open. It felt/smelt a bit like you were in a basement room. Bed/pillow was so so. Breakfast was good for Italian standards, served at the 4th floor, so it was a really nice view.

Location is terrific, pool has amazing views & bar and snacks. A beautiful property, we did not receipt the room we had requested however I chose not to try to change rooms as we were at the end of our trip. Request a room 2nd floor and up, our 1st floor room was right on the stairs to go to the pool and we had people looking right in our room if the curtains were open and it was the only window… otherwise a nice hotel on the outskirts in a very busy city.

Very clean, nice, friendly staff

A great seemingly brand-new place with a fine restaurant and good location. Two quibbles though: 1) The breakfast set-up needs to be improved--the buffet is placed in an area that's too small. 2) The elevators are overburdened as guests and the excellent housekeeping staff have to compete for them. Hopefully these issued will soon be addressed

Good location and has helpful staff The view from the room and from the restaurant was outstanding.

I enjoyed everything about it , I just didn’t like that they didn’t have curtains long enough or wide enough to cover the sunlight so at 6 am it was bright in the room and it made it hard to sleep in.

Hotel is really nice and clean, room is small,but the view from the balcony made it worth it! The parking arrangement were convenient, but I found the price of 20 euros per day steep. Breakfast was very nice and plenty. Location is perfect, city of Taormina is absolutely breathtaking!

Beautiful hotel and very kind and helpfull staff. Only thing I would say is the walls to the rooms were so thin that you could here literally everything coming from the corridor. Not for the light sleeper.

It’s a little hard to park to unload, not enough spaces for people, but it wasn’t too bad and the overall hotel for the price was great!

Very good service, friendly staff and hotel in a great location. Breakfast was really good and rich (+ it had tasty options for lactose intolerant people). Nice pool as well, which is a great plus in Taormina. Noise isolation of the room could be better, but it’s a minor thing and does not cause any sleeping troubles. Overall, excellent option!
