Very polite and helpful receptionist. Answered all queries. Location was ideal. Used the indoor pool and jacuzzi, both clean and warm. Room was surprisingly spacious and amenities ample

We were hoping for a nice balcony with a view of the ocean. If we stood in just the right spot, we could just see the ocean between buildings at the back. The A/C was greatly appreciated but really caused excessive humidity in the room. We also didn't realize that the pool was across the road. Nice restaurants within walking distance.

The accommodation is away from the main road and offers a quiet location. The pool and spa facilities are located a short distance from the accommodation but within easy reach. My studio rooms were a little tired but clean and comfortable with hot water. In room TV facilities could do with being modernised to enable access to internet and portable entertainment

Our room had 100s of ants on the floor we switched rooms to a smaller room with out. Hotel still charged us the same amount, and this room didn’t have AC and only 2 single beds. We are on our honey moon and found this to be an absolute nightmare hotel and will never return. For the price point there is at least 10 hotels in the area that are way nicer and better value

Balcony view and pool were the highlights. Rooms pretty outdated and smelt a bit damp but as per the photos. Decent value and good location.

Ive stayed at sunny coast regularly over the last 35 years. Although they've up made the reception look nice and modern the rooms dont reflect this and havent been updated in around 20 years at least - with furniture, tiles and utensils either worn out or broken. The cleaning of the rooms has also lessened over time. It seems each year I have stayed there has been something else changed for the worse. On the plus side the rooms are large and do have most things you need and the swimming pool is easily accessible. Some of the issues we had to raise - dirty sheets, broken wardrobe and no latch on the doors to the balcony were rectified within 24 hours.

I liked the welcoming feeling the minute you arrive. Staff very helpful. We would recommend this hotel. Nice swimming pool too.

Rooms a bit dated could do with a revamp but other then that was a nice hotel

There are many construction projects nearby, and you will be woken up in the morning.
The sound insulation is poor, I was woken up in the middle of the night by the crying screaming kid quite often.
Also there was something wrong with the door of balcony, if you are very sensitive with noise and you probably can't sleep in the living room sofa bed, even we shut the door probably but still can hear people talking downstair and the wind blowing like a horrible movie at least 3 nights.
Otherwise, everything is ok.

Fabulous big apartment. Booked a studio and was given a really large 1 bedroom apartment with a sea view. Staff were extremely helpful and very polite. Apartment was very clean and comfortable with everything you could need. Could do with a bit of a refurb as the bathroom and kitchen are a little dated. All in all very good value for money.

I loved the AX Sunny coast. My apartment had everything I needed. A comfortable bed, plenty of storage and ample kitchen utensils to prepare breakfast and the simple kind of evening meal I like to prepare when I away. The bath was a little small but there was plenty of really hot water. The apartment was serviced every three days with clean sheets and towels each time. Teatowel, cloth, scourer and washing up liquid all provided in the kitchen area. There was plenty of good lighting as well. I received a very warm welcome on arrival by Mahesh on reception who also willingly helped me sort a couple of issues during my stay. Buses leave from outside the hotel to various places although it took me a couple of days to work out how to get back as mostof the buses do not return via the hotel.

Receiption was appointed with a cheerful staff member. we checked in few hours after the normal checkin. The hotel was peacful and room were nice and clean. Only issue I found was that the telephone didn't work and could have been nicer to have lounge slippers and Water bottle.

Always enjoy our stay at Sunny Coast. Good location, large rooms, friendly staff and easy access to transit.
Only complaint, more outdoor lighting is needed. Very dark walking into the hotel area.

The hotel is a very good value for what you pay. It is in a nice location with beautiful views overlooking the bay. We did not use the pool while there but looked very nice. The room itself was very big. The only complain I have is the room is a bit outdated. Everything looks like from the '90s. the towels are a bit thin and they don't give you enough soap/shampoo (although I'm sure you can ask for more at reception). The location is good - it is a 25 minute Uber ride to center of Valetta, about 20 eur. Overall - very good hotel but could use some updating.

I was impressed with everything.. staff could not have been more helpful... the appartment was huge...fantastic view..location great... cheeky monkeys bar...second to none.
Unfortunately my experience ended on a negative vibe... we were offered a shower room to freshen up before we headed off to the airport

Cockroach floating in the toilet... previous occupants dirty towels on floor... floor didnt look like it had been cleaned in weeks.. it was that unpleasant i had to wear my flip flops to shower and then put them in the bin
I was shocked the whole room was totally discusting.. the pool side showers were 100% better.. i should have just used them..
Got to say Dylan on reception was fab..!

There are a lot of places under construction around, so we could hear noise from the morning.

The hotel is very clean staff friendly and helpful, only fault ,we must have had the worst view ever , room 111 looks out and on level at rooftops covered with air conditioning units. Luckily we only slept there.

The hotel left double feelings.
Positive things. It had everything - nice and polite staff, good outside and lobby looking, pleasant inside and outside swimming pools plus its it in very good location - close to grocery shops, bus and restaurants. Also it has balcony, and wifi is all right.
Negative side that rooms itself are little outdated - atmosphere inside is little inconvenient as furniture is old (though bedding and pillows were nice and clean). Conditioners are loud and ineffective. Towels for swimming room you have to rent.
So, in summary, holidays there were OK, but probably for next time, I would choose another option.

Very nice and clean hotel. Close to coffee shops and restaurants. Beautiful water view with sunrise and sunset if you get lucky with a water view room.

Great location, close and safe enter to the sea, a nice pool area. Calm hotel for good price. The first week in Ocrober was a good time to go.

We were diving at Waterworld, which is just opposite, and found this location very convenient. Beds were comfortable, and the view from the balcony over the sea was lovely. No recycling bins or food waste bins.

The pool area was not very clean - in one of the empty jacuzzis there were dead cockroaches :( Also notice the pool water is salty, The elevator of this hotel was very small and old and the air condition in the room was super loud. Room was though very big and so was the balcony too.

Everything was good, the room was very comfortable, and it had everything we need. it is a very relax place to stay, if you want some day more relax, for cheap go to here.

This resort should be rated as a 2.5 star instead of 4 star accomodation. It looks very tired with dirty grout, damaged and needs to be restored
