The much higher pricing for this hotel is solely a function of location in Brooklyn. It is literally the only hotel in the area. As such, you need dramatically lower amenities expectations for what you are paying for. It is a very quirky hotel that has a lot to work on. Staff is great. Rooms are good sized. Bed is very good. All other furnishings (furniture, light fixtures, art, bathroom sink, towels, etc.) are very dated, tired, and a bit shabby. Lastly, all rooms have a mezuzah in the doorway. This may be a problem for some.

It wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't terrific. The room was clean and spacious, however there was not a single utensil in the "fully functioning kitchen" - sure it may have worked, but who travels with a frying pan? Or plates? That was really frustrating. Many things were just slightly broken - the lift, the curtains, the bed frame had a piece of metal sticking out that I cut myself on multiple times. Breakfast was fine - not much option really, 2 cereals and bagels (of the 4 options, 1 was unavailable the whole time). Only available from 7.30am to 9am and not on Saturdays, it felt limited. The location is good, plenty of options for public transport, very loud though (that's not exclusive to here - it is New York after all). Overall we were disappointed with most things for what we paid, it wasn't horrible, but not great for the price.

I loved how peaceful and safe the property felt. I wish there were more nearby restaurants or bars that would open late.

This hotel is not as described. The rooms are not sound proof - we constantly heard the tv in the room next door. The gym is closed. Breakfast is only some days of the week, during a very short time window, and sometimes didn't get delivered on the days it was supposed to be on. The rooms have a kitchen, but not a single utensil, plate, bowl, pot or pan - completely useless! And the 24 hour business centre is just some chairs in the lobby area. The housekeeper and most of the front desk staff were friendly, and it was clean, but most of the description is misleading.

Very clean, deep bathtub. 15 min walk to MTA in a safe neighborhood.

Great base location for a cycling tour of Brooklyn and environs, close to shared bike paths to enjoy the sites and sounds of Brooklyn, Williamsburg, DUMBO and Manahattan.

The people were hospitable and helpful. They are making the best of an older, yet still adequate, building/furnishings. Greatly appreciated the opportunity to park onsite. The experience of spending time in the neighborhood was unique. Would definitely book again!

Could have really used a microwave oven in my room, or at least one at the lobby if there were such available.

Staff was amazing. Room had kitchen with no utensils which was odd, had to get paper plates in utensils from breakfast area. Room was clean bed were nice. Area around the hotel was a little dirty.

Staying at Pointe Plaza was an enjoyable experience. The hotel staff were helpful and professional. I appreciated the complimentary breakfast and luggafe hold.
