We vacation in PCB every year. We usually have a party of 12 to 14 people. This year was a little smaller. The house had lots of room for all of us. We spend most of our time at the pool so that is always one of our main prerequisites when we book a home. The pool was amazing. The only complaints we really have is the outside area. The outdoor lights were all out so we were not able to enjoy being out by the pool at night. The listing says there is a nice cooking area with grill and outdoor fridge. The fridge didn’t work at all. We were finally able to grill but you have to buy your own tank of gas. Which is okay but that’s something that needs to be told before you spend hours trying to figure out what you’re doing wrong. The location is great. It’s quiet and much less crowded than other areas we have stayed. There’s a dollar store right down the side walk less than a 5 minute walk. The beds could use some upgrades because the mattresses are not comfortable at all. The house wasn’t “dirty” but the floors and counter tops could have used some additional cleaning. Overall, it was a great place to stay. The pool is by far the best part of this property.

Overall this property was a wonderful place and within minutes to the beach! The location of the Surf Hut was located more on a family friendly side of town versus places further up on the gulf. Although, with young kids access to the pool from the back of the house would have been ideal. To access the pool one had to go out the front door and through the fence, with a busy road out front. But overall beautiful property with responsive management!

I booked a completely different rental home and did not get notified or given any options for other rentals until I called/messaged to confirm the price of heating the pool 4 days before my trip. I was told the pool at the other unit was not ready, so they moved me to a different home. Needless to say, the communication was not good. I had to reach out to get all info regarding the unit....I am used to receiving a welcome email and a departure email when I book through VRBO and that did not happen. The unit was nice, the pool is not a pool (it's more like a jacuzzi) and the home is close to the beach. The pool/jacuzzi heater did not work the first few days for which the property manager did refund the heating fee and she was very responsive. Overall, I was disappointed with this trip and will most likely not book Ben's beach homes in the future.

A place you'll never be home sick at. Awesome responsive management. Easy walk to the beach. Worth it.

The property was extremely clean, well equipped (had a high chair for little ones, extra blankets that came in handy, games available for family fun nights every night, etc.). We absolutely loved the footprint of the property, along with the location (within 8 minutes of everything we did…which was a lot through the week). The open floor plan and bright colors created a welcoming environment that positively contributed to our Thanksgiving festivities. The outdoor patio was a mainstay for us at all times, and the outside lighting made it possible for us to have patio time late into the evening. My family and I enjoyed ourselves to the utmost at this property, and would highly recommend this location to any family looking for a place that truly feels like a home away from home!
