Back in Switzerland and we are still very angry with Cuthbert House. We got an email 36 hours before traveling to this hotel informing us that our reservation is cancelled. They proposed that we stay in Savannah (we have been there already 3 days) or we stay longer in Charleston. Or stay another 3 days in Hilton Head. We come from Switzerland, this was our holiday trip and at east vacation time very difficult to book a decent hotel, even more so with a small dog. There were many phone calls and finally we decided to stay 3 more days in Hilton Head Island, Cuthbert House paid for it. What we are so angry about is the short notice and that we travel this far from Switzerland an cannot visit the place we wanted. Also that we had this stress and lost our precious time with phone calls to this properties. Then we saw on the Facebook site announcing opening on April 7. How can the accept reservations when they are not sure when they will be finished. Everything is very obscure and incomprehensible. They really manage to sabotage part of our most awaited trip in the South Carolina. And can you imagine? We are asked by email how we found our stay in Cuthbert House!!

This was an exceptional experience in every way. Fantastic friendly staff with beautiful historic facilities and a view that is out of this world. BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!

The property is an old historic house in the old down town district. It has nice views of the harbor and the owners and staff were great. would stay here again.

The house is very nice- it reminded me a little bit of the inside of the Biltmore on a much smaller scale. The breakfast was like a fancy little tea party I loved it! Ms Karen was my favorite she was so genuinely nice - she suggested we check out Cypress Wetlands and oh my goodness what a beautiful sight of birds and nature! I hope to return to Beaufort one day soon!

It was a rare opportunity to stay in an old southern mansion in a beautiful coastal setting and it was a wonderful experience.

Connie and Ed were the best. Felt like part of the family while staying there. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the memories.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. Ed and Connie were great hosts and all the staff that worked there were very friendly and helpful. The property has incredible history and is absolutely beautiful. Will be coming back soon.

I cannot say enough about the friendly staff and owners of this B&B . This was our first time to stay at a B& B and they met all my expectations. Loved the after dinner sweets and the breakfast was delicious! Loved the location and convenience to stores and dining . The mini bus tour and ghost tour in town was so much fun!

Lightning wiped out tv-cable day before. Great coffee and breakfast at Chick-fil-A morning we left. AC sorta ok. Beautiful house-history. Old and lots to keep up with.

We loved visiting beautiful Beaufort again and the Cuthbert House exceeded expectations. Our suite very spacious, clean, and well appointed with a very comfy bed. The staff was attentive and welcoming and we really enjoyed a glass of wine on the front porch with water view and lovely breeze. Breakfast was outstanding and served beautifully. The location really stands out in the historic downtown section - so convenient for restaurants and shops. A great stay. Will enjoy coming again.

This stay was our best experience from our trip. The hosts treat you like family. We got a lot of information about the area and the things we could do. The house and the rooms are extraordinary. We really appreciated the social hour.

I loved that they are keeping the house original and had decor to that effect. It was nice and different place to stay. Food was delicious, bed comfy, staff very friendly and helpful.

History outstanding

We had an amazing time and everyone there made us feel at home. We stayed in the federal room and it was beautiful and the bed was very comfy. Having a fireplace for the evenings was a great plus. They really made our anniversary special!

Staff went out of their way to be hospitable; if we weren’t going to be available for a breakfast or a social hour, they fixed a special package for us, or brought one to our room. Beautiful location close to town; special treats placed in hall each night; our pup allowed in bottom floor room. Provided bikes for Spanish Trail ride; lent us passes to go into state park; loved having a personal code to access room so didn’t carry a key,

The Cuthbert House Inn was exceptional and would recommend to any person looking for a night stay or a week. The rooms are spacious and we loved the historical aspect of the property. The owners are phenomenal and accommodating while providing a nightly social hour to meet fellow “residents”. The place is awesome.

This property was located on the beautiful water of Beaufort! Staff was friendly and accommodating. The house was beautiful! It was located two blocks from downtown, which was amazing!

1800’s Antebellum home, furnished beautifully. Owners were great and so personable. Evening social a great touch on the porch. All staff were friendly and accommodating. Definitely plan a return!
