Friendly and helpful reception staff; room was spacious and excellent. It was right next to the beautiful Potsdam Altstadt and had a lively restaurant and shopping scene. It was also next to the lovely Sansouci imperial park grounds, which was great for walking and running and sightseeing along the run. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff, location and breakfast were all great, but I found the beds a bit hard.

Perfect location! My room overlooked Luisenplatz and the Brandenburger Tor. There was a weinfest going on that I didn't expect, so that was a bonus. Great wine and music. The parking was very easy. The spacious and modern garage is located directly under the main square and there's a pedestrian entrance across from the hotel. Even though I booked a small room with a twin bed, since it was just me...the room was comfortable, clean, and had a fan and other little amenities like an umbrella that I wasn't expecting. They accept pets, so I was able to bring my dog for a small fee. Check-in was earlier than some hotels. There is an elevator. Easy walk to Sans Souci Palace, down the main shopping street, and even as far as the Dutch Quarter. Plenty of dining options nearby...Chi Keng had yummy Asian food. Finally, the hotel breakfast tasted great and had a good selection. I would stay here again.

Great hotel very close to the Brandenburg Tor. Our room had a balcony overlooking the Luisenplatz which was neat. Staff was friendly and helpful too!

Hotel is in a great position just 100m from both the Sanssouci Park on the one side and town center on the other. Nice hotel to stay in.

Great location, beautiful historical building facing the main square. Good restaurants and Sanssouci park just a few steps away. Breakfast was delicious. It's been a while since the last facelift and furniture and bathrooms would benefit of a upgrade, albeit everything was very clean and service always friendly and courteous.

Amazing location and so close to Sanssouci. Staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly and while the breakfast buffet cost more than is typical (at least for my travels), it was definitely worth it. Elevator was a plus. The room was large, very clean, and comfortable. We had a wonderful and would highly recommend.

Classic "old world" hotel (no air conditioning) about a 10 minute walk from Sans Souci Palace and near Potsdam old town. Parking garage across the street (12 euros for 24 hours) and they served gelato (3 flavors) at breakfast!

Booked a double room while on the road and accidentally booked for one adult even though the room was large enough for two people and the cost online was by room size not per person. The hotel charged me extra when we arrived for my niece (a child) though the room needed nothing else to accommodate the "person." The hotel is VERY dated. Most outlets didnt work. There was no air conditioning. They provided a fan that was of little use. The windows were left open before we arrived so the room was quite warm.There was a lamp for light and it didnt work in the switch. The instructions for use of the parking garage were terrible costing us extra. Overall the ONLY good thing about this hotel was the location. Definitely NOT a **** hotel and we stayed at 10 hotels while on our trip in Europe. This was the poorest quality.

The hotel could not be better placed. A view of the old Brandenburg Gate greets you from the doorway. Shopping areas and the Dutch Quarter are within a few minutes walk. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their city. Their English is impeccable.

The room is very big and the location is central. it faces the brandenburger gate which is very close to the shopping street. The breakfast is really good and there are a number of restaurants nearby. We enjoyed the stay very much.

I was really disappointed as I thought I would spoil myself and stay in a 4 star. This hotel has nice lobby but thats it. Rooms are old and my shower was so small I could not move as I kept hitting tap. No aircon but provided a fan as it was 30 degrees. Quite moisy as stayed on weekend. The staff were very friendly and helpful but this is definately a 3 star hotel . I have stayed in nicer 3 stars. Apparently they get the 4 star as they have a sauna. It is in a good location.

We had a double room Palais. It was a lovely large room with a seating area and a balcony overlooking the square. It was also very close the Sanssouci Park. Parking is in the underground car park but you need to go to the hotel to get a card for it first to pay less.

Hotel position very close to restaurants and bars. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful and room was a good size, very clean and we had a great view across Luisenplatz to Potsdam's Brandenburg Tor. Sanssouci Park is just around the corner. Highly recommended.

Excellent location on the plaza adjacent to the main shopping and eating thoroughfare in the heart of the city. Had an upper room with a view of all of this. Room was spacious, clean with excellent amenities. Beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. On the bus route from the train station and tour buses to palaces and other historic sites. Would have stayed another day but hotel was booked. Included breakfast also very good.
