Awesome. Established hotel, solid service and beautiful old world charm. Enthusiastic air conditioning. Parking (free) on site. Quick walk to the Bonanza and Tango restaurants (great food and ambiance). Quiet. Terraces and views and a nice slice of view to the lake. To be picky, GREAT hot water and water pressure, great daily service for the room, very clean establishment. Highly recommend. Will stay here again.

It is a quaint hotel with a lot of personality. The rooms are spacious and clean. Everything in the room worked well, including the AC, TV, etc. The mattress and pillows are lumpy, which would be the only critique for the hotel.

We loved everything about this property. Unfortunately, the internet went down the second day we were there which made for a small inconvenience. Otherwise, the staff and owner were great and will definitely be returning.

Huge room, clean, and the staff was very friendly. Great restaurant with a great view when sitting outside. The room was hot during the day, no ac and no proper fans. Room had a ceiling fan but it’s not centered over the bed and it was in winter mode, so no real draft coming down to cool you off. Lots of flying bugs inside the room, I mean LOTS. Room needs to be better insulated as said bugs come into the room in droves. They need to do a better job with mosquito screens. Loud barking dogs late into the night. No microwave, no fridge, no coffeemaker!

Great location and service. We had an excellent breakfast that was included with our room rate.

What a wonderful spot to stay. This family run boutique hotel is very comfortable in every way--from the generous sized rooms, perfect beds, tasty breakfasts and dinners. The location is fantastic--close enough for walking just about anywhere you'd like to go in Ajijic--far enough from any noises that might disrupt your sleep. All in all, it is a great spot!

This hotel is a true jewel in the heart of Ajijic. Meeting the owner and hearing the history made the experience all the better. Lakeside with beautiful gardens, walking distance to restaurants, shops, and markets makes the location ideal. The hotel is pet friendly. The rooms slightly dated but extremely clean, very spacious, and surprisingly quiet. This is a traditional Mexican hacienda style hotel with many areas of interest and art. Take time to visit the hotel itself. I cannot say enough about the staff. All were friendly, helpful, accommodating, and interested in making your stay a good one. The restaurant people were absolutely great. On top of the service and bilingual. The food was excellent. The only negative may be the restaurant hours (9-5) but with coffee in the garden prior to the restaurant opening, and within walking distance of many other places to eat the restriction was not a total inconvenience. If you get a chance to eat at the restaurant try the chicken fried chicken with redeye gravy. You will think you are in the US.

Great stay -hotel staff and owner most helpful and always there to help and answer any questions. As others have noted no A/C but wasn’t a problem for our visit in mid Sept. suggest you ask for a mini fridge if they have one available. *****

Has everything you need, close to the restaurants, walkable its clean spacious, quiet and some cool looking art!

Beautiful grounds, very clean, great restaurant, lovely view of the lake, great hotel. Walkable to all of Ajijíc. I would highly recommend.

We stayed for just hours in this hotel because it was 90 degrees outside this hotel doesn’t have ac and the only option instead of giving us our 2 day refund was a fan 🙄

The hotel was awesome. It was very clean and walkable to shopping, dining and sight seeing options. The rooms were large, very clean and the beds very comfortable. Only thing I disliked was the room was very bright early in the morning so I wished the had darkening curtains on the large windows. Excellent breakfast included.

I want to say thanks very much to the lady at the front desk. I wish I had gotten her name! She helped me a great deal after my phone was stolen. I'll be back for sure!

View to the lake and gardens

Great place to retreat to. Would be nice if the rooms were airconditioned. Big rooms, plenty of space.

Excellent staff, friendly and eager to make your stay the best possible. The room and entire area was extremly clean. The breakfast included is also excellent! We plan to return for a full month stay.

A very quaint inn. A nice location within walking location of the plaza and the Lake Chapala Society. Order their pancakes for breakfast! They were the best!

Classic Ajijic hotel near/on Lake Chapala. Absolutely beautiful dining (with great service and good food) outdoors under the trees with a gorgeous view of the lake. Comfortable room, good internet. Rooms over the pool have a lovely rooftop view.
