The cabin was exactly as shown in the listing. We had tons of fun playing in the snow and exploring the town and hanging out in the great room. Because we were coming in and out from the snow, there did not seem to be enough tour mats and rugs for us to clean our feet on. Also, we felt the kitchen was severely under stocked. Pots and pans desperately need to be replaced, and basic items like a can opener were missing.

Our weekend getaway at the Strawberry Creek Retreat couldn't have been more perfect for our family with kids and a dog. Stepping into the cabin instantly exceeded my expectations. The open-concept design was great and was easy to keep an eye on all the kiddos. Plus the breathtaking snow and creek view was a great bonus. It was also a nice surprise that the two bedrooms and loft area, all had full size bathrooms. The hosts were amazing answering all our questions and making my family feel more than welcomed. Would definitely come again!

It was exactly what we were looking for and the listing was accurate and helpful. The loft was fun for the kids and the view out the back windows was as good as we were hoping it would be. We would stay here again.

Easy location, great parking, great layout

We visited Idyllwild for a short family trip. The cabin was clean and nicely furnished. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location and views!

We're a family of 5 with three children under 12. We all had a wonderful time staying at Strawberry Creek Retreat! It was clean, spacious, and bright with many amenities that we enjoyed. While it's not in walking distance of town, we don't mind the very short drive to get there, and it's in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood. The beds were all very comfortable and my kids enjoyed sleeping upstairs in the loft. The owners were extremely responsive and friendly. Highly recommended!

A gorgeous cabin fully furnished and stacked with all of the essentials and extra amenities like books, games, Blue tooth speaker, and a record player. Open view from the windows faces the creek and the trees. It has two full-sized beds and a twin-sized bed on the open loft upstairs, a king-sized bed in the master bedroom downstairs and a queen-sized bed in the other bedroom downstairs. A balcony with a table, chairs and barbecue grill outside the kitchen facing the creek and trees. A TV in the living room and a TV in the master bedroom allowed streaming of all of the shows and movies. It had a washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, stove, beer fridge and several coffee makers. A TESLA destination charger 0.4 mile away. A five to ten minute drive to downtown, but far enough to be quiet. There was a neighboring cabin on both sides and another cabin over the small creek and trees behind. Very quiet. It had everything you need to cook and bake. You open the door via a code. Free wi-fi. We stayed here for hubby’s birthday with two kids. Clean, gorgeous and convenient. The manager was in constant contact with us in case we needed anything. We will stay here again when we return to Idyllwild.

The cabin was perfect for family of 6. Beautiful, spacious and serene. Nighttime stars gazing is amazing. Small Strawberry 🍓 Creek right in the back yard. Just enough for the little ones to enjoy. Great memories made that we will cherish forever

Very clean and spacious

Perfect location next to Strawberry Creek. The big windows in the living room offer a great view of the woods. Comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, and very communicative owners. Highly recommend!

Between the soothing sounds of Strawberry Creek, and the views of Taquitz Peak, what’s not to like? The home was as described and suited our group’s needs perfectly. The Fern Vally area is simply a magical place. Would definitely return. Thanks for the hospitality.

Spacious home with great creekside setting.

Lovely weekend in Idyllwild with family. Great home, we were 3 adults. Very roomy home. Beautiful scenery! A water creek runs through the back of the home, the sound of the water is breathtaking. Idyllwild has grown, we had visited 7 years ago when our Son went to Astrocamp for 4 years in a row, but we never actually stayed in Idyllwild. We highly recommend it! Spring is just beautiful. Great home, we will definitely comeback.

Cottage is cozy, well appointed and clean. Loft (of course) is completely open, so put your heavy sleepers up there. The deck and view and SOUND of the stream (at least in April) was incredible. It was warm enough to sit & read out there in the afternoon. Come for that alone! We loved our stay.

We went during the last week of March. This location was truly magical the views that this place offers feels unreal especially while there is snow falling. You see deer walking by while you’re eating breakfast. I felt like I was in a whole other world. The host was super attentive and checked in with us to make sure we were okay with anything, I loved that they recommend nearby areas to eat or to go have fun, that was a first. It’s super cute that they gift you a custom made coffee mug to take home. This place totally went above and beyond and exceeded all of my expectations. The huge bathtub was so amazing. I will definitely be back to this exact cabin to enjoy more good times

This cabin was perfect for a short getaway for the 4 of us. Because of crazy weather, we had to shorten our stay….but we will definitely come back. The owner was so responsive and very thoughtful. Thank you!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful! It was clean, modern, and cozy. The kids had a blast staying in the loft. Grandma was happy having all the comforts of home. The views from the cabin were extraordinary! Perfect location- close to town and hiking trails. Our only regret was not staying longer! We will definitely book again. Thanks Alex!

What an amazing cabin, clean, stocked and beautiful. Close to downtown and hiking trails. Cabin has everything you need, and it’s so beautiful looking out the windows seeing, trees, snow, dear and squirrels. So magical

The cabin was beautiful, we loved the high ceilings, huge A frame windows, and cozy fireplace. The kitchen was a wonderful space to cook our meals and living space was nice and bright. Alex was quick with any questions we had and checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely come back next time we are in town.

We really enjoyed the big trees, view of Taquitz Peak and overall solitude. Beautiful home too!!

Beautiful home in a great location. Close to town but not too close. We especially enjoyed spending time on the deck and the lovely fire place! Beds were very comfortable and everything was clean.
