Let me first say that the owner Francis is one of the best people and most accommodating host I’ve dealt with. Very clean, safe, quiet place on the water. Gated resort with bikes. On the south side of island away from the hustle and bustle. We will be staying here again. We stayed in the Moody Blues cabin and it was so nice clean and all was just great. Highly recommended!!!’n

This property is a hidden treasure. Francis the house host was very friendly, helpful and responsive. The property is immaculate, quiet, and peaceful. This is also a great place to stay if you want a nice quiet home cooked meal. I give it a 9 out of 10.

This property was special from the beginning. Owner, Francis, picked us up at the water taxi terminal and helped us bring in our luggage. He was informative on good places to eat nearby and the basic layout of the town. The cottage was immaculate, on the ground floor and equipped with coffee, sugar and some beverages. Bikes were provided for us and everyday we went to town to walk the beach, sightsee, grocery shop and eat at restaurants. For $5 US you can get a roundtrip boat ride with your bike across to Northside Caye Caulker where there are several fun restaurants to dine in. There are lounge chairs to sit in on the ocean side of this property where it's also fun to bird watch. We hope to make it back to Blue Bay Cottage some winter in the future.

We stayed in the Blue Cottage Suite, which was a beautiful one bed studio apartment. Much to our chagrin, it rained three of the four days we were there, so we spent a lot of time in the room. I am so happy we were at Francis's home, and not a more traditional hotel type lodging. Lots of windows, two doors, a comfortable bed, TV with Roku, a great kitchen, including full refrigerator, fantastic kitchenware, everything we needed for a stay in room type trip. When it wasn't ready, we made great use of the provided bicycles, which were perfect for tooling around the island. I was very happy with our decision and would recommend this suite to others.

Clean and quiet! Away from busy stuff and you are right on the sunset ocean front!! Francis is an amazing amazing host who provides with everything you need and great tips around island! Highly recommend!

This property is unique- a quiet dead end street with fantastic ocean views! Birds and wildlife are easy to observe. After exploring the island, I believe we found the perfect place and host! Bikes were so helpful and Francis, the owner, has thought about every detail to make this a slice of heaven!

As soon as I walked on to the property I felt like family. The room was beautiful and very clean. I hated to leave and could have stayed forever. This was an amazing place to stay if you like seclusion. I felt like I was the only one on the island. Couldn’t have stayed anywhere better

Great place to relax! Property was nice, clean and quiet - off the main roads but close enough to walk or bike to everything. Bikes provided were so nice to have. Right next to the water and watching the sunset in the evenings was very relaxing. Francis was extremely helpful and kind. We would definitely stay here again!

The property is on the bay with good views. The birds were amazing. Swimming not readily available on property. In a quiet area of the island. Requires walking or biking to reach restaurants and stores. Bikes provided with units. Host was great.

We stayed at Blue Bay Cottage for 5 nights over New Years. It is a nice place, very clean and less than a year old. The first 2 days of our stay there was no running water due to a problem with the island’s water supply. I understand that is not a usual problem , but a failure with the island water pump. It was fixed during our stay But we also experienced power cuts daily , so not able to have AC every day. I have since found out that the electricity on the island has been a problem for some time. It was around 80 degrees and humid so we did miss the AC and ability to use fans at times. Other than those problems we did enjoy our stay , went on a snorkeling trip to the Ho Chan Marine Preserve and swam with nurse sharks and sting rays! The food on the island is very good, grilled fish and lobster was excellent. One of our favorites was the Italian restaurant Pasta Per Caso, stop in to make reservations there.

It was a fabulous place to stay. I would highly recommend it and we'll definitely be back. Frances was very helpful and accommodating. He even provides bikes for you to use while on the island; which is the best way to get around unless you want to pay for the taxi golf carts or rent your own golf cart.
The cottage itself was well maintained and perfect for a couple!

The place is great, service was exceptional, room was very comfortable. The only issue was over a stained sheet. If they would have just changed it without question there wouldn't have been an issue, but the owned went on and on about how the stain got there. He needs to remember that the customer is always right. The less said about that sheet would have been best.

Amazing place to stay in Caye Caulker! The photos don’t do justice to how great Blue Bay Cottage and exceptionally clean Francis keeps the place!
The A/C is brand new and will keep you cool in the hot weather. The amenities are great: the place provides 2 bicycles (great for cruising around town – better than golf carts!), a 5-gallon water jug, and paddleboards to use. The back yard has a great dock where you can dive into the water as well.
The location on the island was ideal: close enough to be a short bike ride into the restaurants and bars, but far enough to provide peace and quiet.
Definitely stay here if you’re coming to Caye Caulker!

Loved it! So peaceful and relaxing. Private waterfront with ocean access for a cooling swim or stroll out on the dock and go fishing. Free use of bicycles for exploring the area. The owner Francis is so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this as A GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

This property is a true hidden gem! It is on the quieter side of the island yet 5 minutes to all the action in the town center. The cottage is clean, beautiful view and all the comforts of home. The owner Francis is a wonderful host. He is kind and thoughtful and very helpful on how to maximize your stay. My daughter and I felt so at home and we cannot wait to return to blue bay! Thank you to Francis and his awesome staff for a memorable vacation! We will definitely see you again!

This place is brand new everything was perfect. The owner goes out of his way to pick you up at the ferry and take you to the most perfect relaxing place on the island. I would not want to spend my 60th Birthday any place else. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Truly a wonderful experience. Peaceful and relaxing though only a short bike ride or stroll to downtown. The facility is all brand new with a wonderful pier and front and back patio for shade or sun at all times. Francis, the owner, takes the time to answer any and all questions. He gives you excellent recommendations for tours, meals and overall reviews of his culture and nation. He loves his country and his home and shares with all his heart. Blue Bay cottage and Caye Caulker exceeded our expections. We can give a complete and total recommendation for this facility and Caye Caulker!! We very much wish to return in the future. Cannot say the same about noisy and overcrowded Ambergris Caye.

This cottage was exactly as pictured and more than met our needs for a 2 week stay on Caye Caulker.
Francis was a great host and easily accessible if you needed him. Daily cleaning kept the place spotless and use of the 2 free bikes is just what you need to get around.
Location is only going to get better as Francis has upgrades planned and there are already 2 new units available for rental so would be someplace we would return to with friends and family.

Great little cottage off the main drag (and hence, quieter, more peaceful, and more secure) on Caye Caulker. The owner/proprietor was friendly, responsive, and fair-minded in many ways. Although my stay on Caye Caulker wasn't ideal, as I had unfortunate dealings with both a dive shop and a fishing guide, my stay at the Blue Bay Cottage was excellent. The internet worked flawlessly, the kitchen and bathroom were in great shape, with nice hot showers, etc., and the view over the flats was awesome. If I ever return to Caye Caulker, there will be no question where I'm staying, as longing as the Cottage is available. Next time I'll also be asking Francis who to dive with and who to use as a fishing guide before I book somewhere, because he will definitely know. Five stars from this well-traveled American! It was great!

Absolutely the BEST! Great Cottage! This is an extremely nice and the only place to stay in Caye Calker in my book. It is not in the hub of shops and restaurants like most of the other places, however one can easily walk or bike (provided) to anywhere within mere minutes (night life included). We enjoyed the peacefulness and pristine beauty of the property and it's own private dock. Very clean and well kept with all the creature comforts of home, beautiful kitchen with everything you need right down to a blender to make your own tropical fruit libations! The owner and his family certainly made us feel welcome and like family! Always helpful with whatever you need and always with a giant smile! Get ready Francis and family because we are already planning our next stay! God bless you and your wonderful family and friends!

Frances the owner came and picked us up at the ferry when we arrived on Caye Caulker. He was friendly and more than helpful. Our place was beautiful and right next to his home where we met his wonderful family. The place had everything we needed and even a couple of bikes to get to and from town. Can't say enough nice things about our stay. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. Can't wait to come back
