We loved everything about this property! The views are incredible and we were able to enjoy beautiful sunrises, sunsets, morning blankets of fog, and my personal favorite starry skies we just don’t see in our part of SC. The cabin was very clean with comfortable furnishings and also laid out well. It’s perfect for a small family or 2 couples. The bedrooms (both kings) are on separate floors and super comfy. We cooked all our meals in the cabin. My son is a professional chef and even though he always carries his own knives and special kitchen equipment, we had no problems finding an appropriate size pot etc. to cook with. Totally enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit as well! We would definitely rent this property again!

The views are spectacular! The owner is very nice and came to introduce himself! The cabin was great for a family of 3 and the game room was perfect for our seven year old. We have been to the Smoky Mountains several times and we will be booking this cabin again when we come back!

The cabin was just beautiful! Lots of extra attention to detail in the design. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked and plenty of extra supplies are available. The view is amazing and we enjoyed sitting on the deck and admiring all the different phases of the day--from early morning fog to sunset playing on the cabins across the way. The owner was very kind and met us as we checked in, sharing directions for a planned road closure. He made himself available if there was anything else we should need. We truly had a wonderful stay.

The cabin has everything a family could ever need during a week's stay plus more. It has essentials that aren't even listed in the amenities. The decorations and cleanliness were top of the line and the beds were very comfortable. The drive up the mountain can be a bit of a challenge if you are used to the midwest plains but after a few times up and down, you will get the hang of it. Just make sure to drive on the left side of the gravel road going up and it's much easier. The owner is very kind and helpful too! I highly recommend this gem hidden in the mountains!

Can’t say more than stunning view and the perfect cabin! Private and has the best views! My husband and I were in awe when we saw the view. Cabin has everything you need! Would definitely stay there again!

Let me start out by saying the cabin itself is absolutely perfect. The view from the deck/hot tub is incredible! We enjoyed the game room with the foosball table. Both bedrooms are spacious and kitchen is a delight to cook in with the gas stove. Our only issue was the lack of communication regarding check-in. I did not receive any instructions through VRBO so I emailed the rental agency day before as well as the day of check-in through VRBO with no response. I also called and left voicemails with rental company as well as cell phone of rental agent the day of check-in and my call was never returned (and I had not received any check-in instructions as to how to access cabin). When we arrived at cabin we happened to run into the neighbor who was able to help us get into cabin. Rental agency did not reach out to us until the day before we checked out (5 days later) so I am not sure what we would have done if we did not happen to meet the neighbor upon arrival. But once we got in, everything else was perfect.My kids absolutely loved the firepit to make marshmallows at night and my husband and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony. We were able to make great memories in this cabin. Location is also convenient for white water rafting, hiking, etc. Road to cabin is steep but doable with FWD. Thanks!!

Every morning and every evening displayed a new scenic view of the Smokey Mountains. Place was immaculate. Hot tub was perfect. Large wrap around deck was perfect for entertainment. It was private felt like you were the only ones there. No other cabins in sight. Drive up to top was very manageable mostly paved. Kitchen well stocked- awesome gas Grill to cook on. Ceiling fans, tvs and netflick and great Wi-Fi in every room. Great place!

Unbeatable beautiful location! We enjoyed meals out on the massive balcony and watched the sunset in the hot tub. We went on a kayaking trip in Fantana Lake nearby for a day trip and loved coming home to the clean & spacious but cozy cabin. Plenty of room for 2 couples.

The attention to detail in this cabin is outstanding! The view is amazing! Listening to the birds in the morning with coffee on the deck and grilling in the evening while enjoying the view was so relaxing. It was exactly what we were looking for and will be back.

It has a fabulous porch with great chairs to relax and soak in the mountain air. The paved road that leads to the cabin is winding and very narrow. Thankfully it does not see much traffic. We passed only one car on the 3 days we stayed. The cabin is well maintained and exceptionally clean. The beds were comfortable too. We spent our days hiking, and it was nice to come back to such a peaceful place. We sat on the porch for hours in the evenings just watching the sun go down . The sunrises were beautiful too. Can’t wait to come back!

Our stay was perfect! It was quiet, clean and comfy;) the owners thought of everything one might need to enjoy the property. And it was so warm and cozy in Jan weather; which was a concern before we got there. We will stay again for sure!

This cabin is a gorgeous retreat and pictures don't do it justice. The cabin itself is extremely well built and the love and pride that the owner, whom we got to meet, put into it can be seen in every inch of it. The kitchen is equipped with every conceivable very good quality utensil and gadget (not cheap or worn out dollar store stuff). There is plenty of seating and tables outdoors to maximize relaxing while looking at the fabulous view or enjoying the fire pit. The wifi is fast but unreliable which just goes with being in the mountains. We had very good cell signal the whole time. If you don't have experience driving on mountain roads the drive up to the cabin could be considered a little scary but the reward on arrival makes it worth the drive. We never drove up or down in the dark as we made sure we were back at the cabin to see the sunset each evening. We enjoyed our stay at Carie's Cabin and would not hesitate to visit again.
