The property was tastefully decorated and immaculate with modern conveniences. The hosts John & Julie obviously take pride in providing a VRBO property in which you can relax and unwind. The home is situated in a quiet neighborhood near Lake Barkley with a large deck and fenced in yard. Our heelers really enjoyed running around the yard and sunning themselves on the deck. There's plenty to do with the state parks, Lake Barkley, and Kentucky Lake nearby. My wife really enjoyed visiting the shops and the dogs had their noses to the ground at the state park. I had initial anxiety the first night with having intermittent service connection with T-Mobile but found that not receiving texts from work was actually really nice for the days we were there :). It was great to getaway from the cold of Northern IL and to have a chance to unplug and unwind from the daily grind. Highly recommend this property if you are looking for a getaway near Cadiz/Lake Barkley.

Very nice, the fenced yard was especially welcomed for the dogs we brought.

Booked this rental for 9 days and Julie along with her husband we’re very accommodating and the house was everything they said it was. Very clean and spacious and parking was plentiful. Perfect for our getaway trip. Will definitely book this again and would suggest this to others as well.

Great place to stay

Gorgeous home and well stocked with everything you might need or forget. Very convenient for families with dogs and kids. Julie and John were excellent hosts and very helpful. Comfy beds. Our only complaint is that we assumed that we would be able to walk to the lake from the house. The listing says, "across the street from Lake Barkley." That is accurate, but you cannot get to Lake Barkley without trespassing. You have to drive to another location. Not a big deal, but wish that was explained in the listing. All in all, we loved it and would come again.

I had a hard time finding a spot for us to stay for the night and came across this property. I did expect much - just a clean place for the evening - but wow. This was perfect. Very clean, super easy. Comfortable temp - I know that sounds odd but if you rent a lot you know properties often have hot and cold rooms making it hard to find a balance. Backyard was fenced off and easy drive to parks. A+

We rented this home for a month and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Julie and John were delightful hosts. They were available to answer our questions about the area and made great suggestions about attractions in the area. The home was so comfortable and welcoming. I especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch every morning. We recommend it highly and would love to return.

This was our first trip with our dogs! Our dogs loved the big back fenced in yard and Julie even had dog dishes and treats for them! Very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The neighborhood is friendly, quiet and great for a getaway weekend! We would highly recommend to any future travelers!

This home was very cozy and well furnished. The home was very clean. It features a nice wrap around front porch and fenced in backyard with a large deck. The neighborhood had a nice country setting with all homes sitting on large lots. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone traveling through or wanting a longer peaceful stay.

How delightful it was to have such a friendly, helpful, thorough host to think of all the details before our stay for our son's graduation from Murray State. Julie responded to our questions promptly, accurately listed the property, and made it easy to exit the property at the end of our stay. This beats a hotel any day! The interior decorations are charming, the beds and bedding are so comfortable, and she even had the blow-up beds ready for our last-minute family! Everything was clean, organized, and beautiful. All the condiments, utensils, pans, storage containers, coffee, etc. were available for our use. The environment was PERFECT for our family games, late-night talks, and celebration of our graduate. I cannot speak more highly about this property and it's owners. Lake Barkley access is not very far and we rented a double-decker pontoon boat with ease. The house was very clean and was in a good location.

Everything about the hole and the management was absolutely fantastic. The front and back porch areas are perfect for lounging with your coffee or a good book. It was a very cold during our stay so we didn’t take advantage but I could see myself spending an evening or morning hanging out there. The home smelled like Christmas when we walked in and I was immediately in love with everything I was seeing. Everything was so welcoming. The king and queen beds felt like a cloud and I really need to know what the beds are because I want one myself! Kitchen was very well appointed with everything you would need to cook plus lots of condiments. They have lots of blankets, extra bedding and soft towels. The bathrooms had a lot of things under the sink that you may need. They keep your furry friends in mind with treats, toys and food/water bowls. I really appreciated not having an extended list of to dos for check out. Many times you have to strip beds and all that and this check out list consisted of maybe three things that are absolutely reasonable. I would 100% stay here again!

The house was perfect, well maintained and super clean with tons of extra amenities. The neighborhood was quiet and the house is far enough off the beaten path you can see a good amount of stars. Our hosts were friendly and responsive, I would not hesitate renting this space in the future,10 out of 10 would recommend.

Great location, close to main highways. We came in from 4 states. Very easy to locate coming in the evening. Lake view. Well stocked and comfortable beds. Very pet friendly. Family had a great time, would love to come back in summer. Host very helpful.

Driftwood is spacious, charming, and well-appointed. The owners are gracious hosts and it is obvious that they care about their guests being comfortable. We enjoyed the casual vibe of the house and the seasonal decorations made us feel at home. We had never been to LBL and Driftwood was perfectly located for us to get to the sights. It’s such a beautiful area! Come one and all—-the house and hosts are delightful!

This beautiful home was everything as listed. Communication with property owner was smooth and also kept in touch. We got to take our fur babies with us. Being able to spend time with your son who is in the military this home was convenient for us and him. Making memories and spending time together means so much to us. Thank you so much!

This is such a great place to stay. Our hosts were very thoughtful and had all the necessities covered from the coffee down to the softest towels. All the beds were super comfy and cozy. The decor was adorable, we just loved it and would definitely come back if we are in the area.

Entering the house was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better location! The decoration and rooms were all well-kept. It was a pretty central location for all the different places we visited which made driving convenient. We had such a great time, and the hosts were quick to respond! Would highly recommend to anybody else!
